CAGiversary!
He is in the hospital listed in good condition.

DETROIT - Rapper Obie Trice was shot early Saturday while driving on a freeway, police said.

Trice, a Detroit native and protege of Eminem, was on the Lodge Freeway at about 1:10 a.m. when his vehicle was shot at by someone in another car, said Michigan State Police Sgt. Mario Gonzales.

Trice managed to continue driving and exited the freeway in the suburb of Southfield, where his girlfriend, who also was in the vehicle, flagged down police, Gonzales said. The girlfriend wasn’t wounded.

... i'm gonna guess that since he got off in Southfield he really was'nt IN Detroit when he got shot....still not the nicest of areas out there, but still

Yeah, I was from the Detroit area until I moved to florida. Most of the people call the suburbs around Detroit, Detroit.

Southfield is right by where I live, and I am an Obie fan. I just hope he doesn't pull a 50 cent and never shut up about getting shot. People who don't even listen to rap even refer to 50 as "that guy who got shot a bunch of times".

He probably got nicked on the finger. He'll be stompin' around with a band-aid on his pinky rapping about how he survived a gang attack and he's a real rapper now that he's lived through assault.
Glad he's okay. Cheers is good. He has a clean flow on the new Biggie album as well.
Haven't heard the new biggie. How is it? Is it Puffy just trying to make some cash, or is it actually good?

It's alright. Definately not on Ready to Die or Life After Death's level, but still a decent listen. I love hearing him flow with Jigga again.

Well, shit. For some reason, the Brokeback Mountain poster isn't showing up.

What is wrong with you people...the guy got SHOT; as in, a bullet pierced a portion of his body...you don't have to be a fan of his, or enjoy his style of music, but at least show some amount of respect. If you don't care about the guy, then just don't post a response. It isn't that hard to resist, is it?
obie trice?
is that thing human? wtf kind of name is that?
Where the hell you been for the past few years? Rediculous names like Obie Trice, Fitty Cent, Xzibit and Eminem are cool, and rebellious to da man.

I don't know if you're talking about the duets album... but the duets one is hot fire. So many people on it... new Clipse too!

On topic, yeah violence sucks. But it is Detroit.
