Oblivion GOTY for PS3@ GoHastings-$14.99(normally $29.99)

Thanks for the heads up... been meaning to play this again but it's hard to find for < $20, might as well grab UC2 while I'm at it

I've been thinking about getting this game for awhile now, but I'd like to know if this game is better on the PC or console? I would much rather play an RPG on my PC anyday, but I wouldn't mind it on the PS3.

I *really* hated the controls on the 360. Your mileage may vary, etc.

Remember that on steam it's $8.50 right now and it comes with all the expansions plus some more!

PC by a longshot. Modding makes this one of the greatest games I've ever played, it's alright on consoles though, just nowhere near the same league.

Gotta love Steam... although I wish to own the physical copy. Really wish these guys would consider physical merchandise in the long run and give some competition to Amazon and Gamestop.

Should have never doubted the power of PC gaming. Needless to say I'm going PC for this game. Thanks for the help!

Thanks OP, don't have a PC (a Mac) so I went for it even though I hear there are bugs o'plenty in this. Never ordered or heard of Go Hastings before I joined this forum and this is my first order with them so taking a gamble but for 17 bucks shipped it's worth it since cheapest everywhere else is around $30.

Wouldn't buy it for the PS3, there's a bug in the GOTY edition (blood curse quest) that's never been fixed. Better off getting the standard edition then download the DLC packs after you finish the game. I still can't believe there wasn't a patch for it since it's nearly 3 years old.

I was level 40 about 80hours in when I ran into that issue :( I now have to wait to get the orginal otherwise I'm stuck as a vampire.

Yeah I did quite a bit of reading about that glitch and was a little on the fence but it made no sense to pay more to get the things separately just because of a glitch. It sounds like there are a few ways to avoid/fix the glitch (though some involve disc swapping for the non GOTY version which may be tough to find a rental of) but for 17 bucks I'll take my chances.

got it today, after some of the complaints I've read about Go Hastings I'm pleased. Came quickly and was new as advertised. Good deal despite the bugs hopefully I'll be able to work around them.

Good to hear. I had no problems with paying for shipping and the condition of the used games I received were 10x better than anything from Gamestop's website.
