Odd problem with a Saturn game

Most of the time when I turn on my Saturn with Sonic Jam in it, it doesn't recognize it as a game but as an audio CD. If I reboot the system one or two times it recognizes the game and after that it runs perfectly.

This doesn't seem to happen with any other games and it didn't happen when I first got Sonic Jam. And I've taken great care of the disc, by the way.

Does anyone know what the problem is? It's really annoying.

I think your Saturn realizes that Sonic Jam sucks and is trying to tell you something or clean the lens and check the surface of the disc for deep gouges.
