Worthwhile Highlights:

2:47 Brute killing animations...ripped arms, jackhammer'd, and smashed? I almost want to be killed by one just to see this
2:57 Likewise with the Elite v. Brute
6:15 The shotgun seems to pack more punch, but it may just be the Brute's oozy blood

Ehh, dissapointing video. Nothing too special and it can be passed over if 7 minutes is too much to waste.

It's on XBL with 480p and/or 720p so I think people would prefer to watch it there instead of poor youtube quality vids.

My impression: Bungie has totally lost it. First, they detach us from the aliens as any game should do. Then, they make the aliens speak English and force us to play as them! fuck the covies, I'm Master Chief, bitch! Now, the Elites are holding hands with the humans. Might as well share beds and interbreed, wouldn't you say? Brutes are now casted as the superior warriors...hey! I remember those guys! I shot them full of bullets and all they ever did was scream and run towards me. So they evolved in a few years into noble disciplined soldiers? Oh Bungie, you're so creative...

*no longer buying Halo 3*
still playing Halo 1 to death actually.

remember the days when we played games for the GAMEPLAY and not about the ridiculous stories, cuz if you want to start with that, Mario Bros. takes the cake.

Really you can't tell what it is exactly due to glare from the in-game lighting, but there are definitely 4 grenade types at least.

Also, there's a bunch of cool stuff in the background screens if you look for it. Awesome video. I love seeing development in action. I can't wait for Halo 3!

the graphics still aren't finished. the game isn't in alpha testing (although i highly doubt they will top GoW)

I liked the video of the brute toppling the warthog. it will be amazing if they could actually flip vehicles. I always found driving sequences to be a little too easy (just keep moving & shooting), and deaths during driving sequences disappointing (God damnit marine! Shoot at the fucking banshee). If you've got a gorilla charging at you, ready to topple your car and rip your god damn arms off, that could change things
 
... First video of anything Halo i've seen that I like. The one way that bungie can make me change from disliking the Halo universe is by allowing me to play as brutes... if not... shame.

plus, it's brutes seem to be looked at as wookies by bungie too much.. I mean they have the friggin arm ripping ... that's a signature wookie deal! (dont take me too seriously please).
 
Meh, it was alright... I was expecting something more. Still, with the release date almost a year away, I'll settle for letting this whet my appetite

It looked pretty good. I like the redesigning of the brutes. I really hope that we get some new and amazing enemies though, because the brutes should not be the staple enemy for the last game.. I didn't much enjoy fighting them in Halo 2. And the sequences shown looked a little too much like Halo 2.

Hopefully we see more large scaled outdoor vehicle battles that aren't ready yet. It is very early to say anything about the game.
 
I have a feeling we're gonna have to play as the Arbitor again. That or some other Elite. I'm really gonna miss Elites as the main bad guys in Halo. Hopefully, Halo 3 will have something in there that'll let you still fight them for a few levels. Maybe have a some rebel Elites not willing to join the humans or something.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Maybe when we've all seen more of the game, it'll be easier to form a more solid opinion.
 
The vid was pretty cool. It didn't rock my socks off, but it was good. I'm liking this slow build towards Halo 3, definitly adds to the excitement.

See i dont understand why this game gets such HUGE feedback? What has halo done for first person shooters? So hard for me to like halo when games like Half life just destroy it.

It was good. I love the fact that they will make them interact as packs and how each class has different armor. I didnt like how the blood oozed out of the brutes stomach when hit with the shotgun. I know that the game if far from being finished but I really hope that cleans up a lot. It reminded me of the first Duke Nukem.
 
wait a second..... Those guys look just like the elites from halo 1 now =p. They even have the same variations in armor gah....................

So basically we got bigger elites now eh? oh well doesnt matter till the game comes out and we will see. It's got to be some immense pressure on the devs with all the goddamn expectation for halo 3.

i highly doubt that, most people are going to buy it no matter what. It's going to be at least a decent game, but there's really not any pressure to make it fantasticle, since apparently will end this storyline...

Halo is good because it does all of the little things well like forcing you to carry only 2 weapons, revealing story through character interactions and cut scenes, and super-easy to control vehicles that are fun to use. Halo is not revolutionary. Halo is evolutionary. Halo is good story, good gameplay, and all around fun which is why it gets "HUGE feedback." Half-Life definitely has it's awesomeness, but I personally feel that Halo is more of a complete package than Half-Life.

I actually liked all the stages of Halo 1.

Halo 2 single-player didn't grip me as much though. Still fun, but no GOW.

even then the story doesn't blow anything out of the water... story = nothing superb, gameplay = nothing superb. And don't think I think the game sucks, it just doesn't deserve the credit it has received. The only thing it deserves credit for is saving the xbox platform from death (thank god, since I love my 360 to bits).
 
It's been a few days since I've seen this documentary, but am I correctly remembering seeing Grunts fighting MC? I thought the Grunts left the Covenant with the Elites.

I just watched the video again today and you see Brutes and Grunts working together fighting humans.
