Unfortunately - this drive is where the Saints are going to put this one away. Seems like the Lions defense fell asleep.
Cant stand these rules so even though you jumped and cross the line but land with everything behind the line its still a 1st down.
Forward progress is always marked.

I think my lions are done, even if they keep pace they wont win unless they get some HUGE plays along the pick 6 kind. I dont see that happening.

I hate to play the ref card but we got fucked hard.

Fumble TD returned blown dead,
A really bad TD call that was a clear incomplete
HORRID spot giving them a first down

I also will give the Saints all the probs in world but I never seen a QB get so much time without a holding call. Brees is hanging out in the pocket for days...how the hell is that happening without holding?

I'd be content if the Lions were losing because of poor playing (which is happening defense wise). However, to be mostly losing because the refs are fucking idiots? That just angers me. It's games like this that the NFL need to take a look at.

The Saints in the playoffs are the very epitome of a dirty football team. They're questionable in the regular season but once they get to the playoffs they do whatever the fuck they want and get away with it almost all the time.
Forward progress is always marked.
No it wasn't since i don't feel like explaining it ill just be lazy and just copy and paste what someone said in another thread

"He shoots the ball forward then brings it back. This isn't a goal line play, breaking the first down line doesn't mean it's an auto first down. He brings the ball back voluntarily meaning there can't be forward progress."
how the hell is that happening without holding?
There's holding its just not being called I've seen over 7 already.
Forward progress is always marked.
Yeah thats true but remember if you go backwards under your own power then that is not forward progress. If you look at the play Brees retracts the ball before touching anyone below him. His forward progress starts the second he touches someone.

Although its really ticky tacky so I dont mind that they gave them the first. Clearly its to hard to see....on the other hand I do mind them giving them 2 yards on previous spot.

Thank you, glad I'm not the only one who notices. No Saints fans should ever call another team dirty period.

I first noticed it 2 years ago in the NFC Championship game where they've made no qualms about basically admitting that they were playing to injure Favre. I've never had any respect for them since then especially considering that seems to be the MO going into the playoffs, play as dirty as they want. The fact they're making the Lions look like a clean team says volumes.
Giants? I thought it was one of those two....
Yes the Giants even though i think they hurt themselves and probably wont go anywhere this season.

I have never seen a QB get so much time in the pocket without a single holding call. Also, our corners are shit. They have been all year. They cant tackle and they cant make plays when it counts.

Wasn't one of the plays that pretty much injured Favre the same play they banned because of what happened to Tom Brady yet they they got away with it anyway?

Another holding gone uncalled that would have brought back that TD. We are getting completely robbed BUT its hard to complain when we cant tackle at all either.

Im starting to think the Detroit D is just dead tired at this point, so many picks they should have had and these broken tackles they are probably gassed at this point because the refs keep making them stay on the field because New Orleans keeps getting these bullshit first downs, or maybe they're just not trying cause they're getting mind fucked by the penalties they think they'll get who knows but this poor tackling is pissing me off.

Erin Berry should be cut. This $$$$a is garbage, he cant make a play on anything. For the draft I want,

RB
DB
RB
DB
RB
DB
RB

Also, this new NFL is shit. I am fucking tired of every game being a combined 60 plus points. Bring back real defense. I cant stand it anymore, every game is 700 yards of offense, everybody is breaking records.

Well GG Detroit , barring the missed tackles that was probably the most clean, disciplined game i've seen all season. Its too bad the Nfl and the refs had other plans. Now these dumb ass fans have the nerve to chant NA NA NA hey hey goodbye? These same fans that didnt give a damn about the franchise before 09 and wore paper bags on their head?

I don't see why the fans don't have the right to celebrate. I am no Saints fan at all, but they are happy their team is playing well. Detroit would be the same way if they we're winning, especially since they haven't had a team this good in forever.

Lions were supposed to have a monster d-line this year, what happened? I know Fairley, not sure if that's his name, was hurt in the beginning but he's been back for a while now.

Also that Brees stretch first down play was bullshit.

That's how it works. Detroit fans were wearing bags on their heads a few years ago as well.

Watching the Giants/Falcons game... When there's a long bomb thrown into double coverage, and you have to praise the secondary for not allowing a catch and not taking a penalty, you know, which is what should happen when you throw into double coverage, you know something's wrong with the game. Thanks Bill Polian.
Another shitty incomplete/fumble miscall.
And the Steelers drive down and score. That's a 10 point swing at least.

If I'm the Broncos, I'm playing this game under protest.

Amazing way to finish the game. I don't even care that I missed the pick.

I was baffled at the clock management at the end of the game by the Steelers. Really bad. I'm also surprised they didn't try for the 66-yard field goal. I know Suisham's record is 52 yards, but it's Denver and that adds a few yards.

Tebow played amazingly though. His Defense was "okay", but not great. Tebow won that game for Denver, period.

Actually Denver played NE well last time and lost because of turnovers. Plus we usually play them well and have a chance to beat Josh McDumbass

They lost by 18 points despite getting out to an early lead. And after the Patriots adjusted to what they were running, they did basically nothing on offense all game. Besides, saying they lost "because of turnovers" kind of ignores the Hall of Fame QB on the other side of the ball, doesn't it?

But sure, you have every reason to be optimistic.

I am a big doubter of Tebow but when he is on, he is on. Made some great throws today, although his consistancy is not there at all...yet. He has a lot of potential though, he could end up being a Stafford-like player who is well rounded and consistant.

pats are possibly the worst 13-3 ever. Very beatable. That "hall of fame" QB has a losing record against the Broncos. I love the matchup.

I heard the same junk about the steelers.

Keep telling yourself that.

I mean, I'm not going to tell you not to believe in your team. After all they just beat a team that everyone thought they had no business beating. Could they do it again? Of course.

But the Patriots just beat the piss out of the Broncos a month ago, in Denver. This is a gigantic mismatch on paper. So if you think the Broncos are likely to win, which you seem to, you have no idea what you're talking about.
