Weather sucks in my area...AGAIN >_< preventing me from playing MGO makes me a sad panda.

Someone name the server, okay. I'll try my best to be there unless it's really coming down.

I'll be there, yeah put some tsnk games in. I'd like to try it out.
 
I'll be hosting (game location info's in the OP) and I'd like to get recommendations on what to throw into the rotation for you guys. Include time limits, rounds, locations, etc., whatever you suggest would make for the most fun for everyone.

If we get only a handful of people, we'll try to go as long as we can, but if we get near a full roster, we'll go for two to three hours, hopefully.
 
Personally I'd like to see less RES and TSNK myself. For TDMs I like 30 to 40 tickets and don't particularly like MM. I'm game for anything though.

Bases on the map with the two sky scrapers (I forget the name) or BB, with 5 minute rounds, 3 rounds. No rescue. I would like 3 minute, 3 rounds of TSNK but I don't know what map, maybe MM (sorry prime). And GG for capture, maybe 3 minute, 3 rounds, too. If we play capture, I'm okay with any map.
 
I would like Capture, any map, except Ambush I hate that one. The one with the two tall buildings is C.U.S. well it isn't now but I don't remember the new name. Rounds go in sets of two so it's impossible to have three or five rounds, only 2, 4, 6, etc. Bases is also fun on bigger maps also, again, really any map but Ambush. I don't mind TDM but might as well make the TDM games Sneaking since they're almost the same thing with like a 10 minute time limit or so.
 
Tall buildings/CUS is Urban Ultimatum.

If possible, I'd like to disallow all weapons except for the M14EBR and stun grenades.

The thing is though, I play SNK differently than TDM since I'm worried about finding Snake as well. I think a CAG game would be more concerned with playing SNK the way it was meant to be played instead of a straight up TDM.

The Dino clan loves capture matches. Damn you espy, for naming us the Dino clan. Capture matches are always fun. It's all I really play now, top 100 in Capture mode. I'm determined to take the #1 spot and have a Kerotan rank.
 
Oops, it was a Capture Mission. That was actually my first one. I've never seen it in Automatching. I didn't know where to take the Kerotan at first. :lol:

Thanks for adding me to the clan and for some good play time. Unfortunately I was outclassed by a mile in ability. Still lots of fun.

I think the baby of that show was actually on one of those MTV Movie Awards shows. Even back then I remember being annoyed by that thing.

How is Narc 3? I have Narc 2 but I don't notice anybody lighting up or anything, so I'll probably use Monomania instead unless it really is super awesome.
 
I had to quit out because my controller just kept locking up on me for some reason. I just kept stopping at random times.
 
Narc 3 is alright. I thought it would be better. Then again, I haven't had too much time with it yet, so I don't know too much about it.

But, it is REALLY awesome that I get to see where the enemy is aiming at me from. First match I jump in, I find a sneaking room with U.U. as the stage. I was on the red team, chilling on the white roof. Some guy was aiming at me from the red roof and I saw the blue line that was fixated on me. Thanks to that, I was able to roll the hell out of the way. It looks just like the line that you see when your teammates are linked and they're aiming at something.

Also, good news: Snake doesn't light up or anything when he's aiming at you. I've yet to try out a TSNK match, though. I'll see how it works later.
 
I know I can gain EXP for levels in Free Battle, but can I do the same for skills? I'm not going to Konami's stupid community page to figure this out.

Also, just got off of a Base Match, and depsite getting in there late, I finished first in the round, helping my team win 2-1. 131 points for me, and level 2.

Of course, you're not restricted to any specific lobby, that I know of, when you want to level up skills. All I've played in are the free battle servers.

That sounds awesome to me, especially if it shows you the line of sight, you don't even need to guess where they are.

I think TSNK is the same, then.

Let's try out how it works in TSNK later. Aim at me once and I'm going to see what happens.

EDIT: So, I'm in this TSNK match and my KDR is 37:1 after round 10. We're halfway through round 11 and we get this message:

"Restarting due to host change."

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Oh my god, I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS. It was such a perfect room too. My teammates were smart and and communicated well. When I told them to do something, they did it. When they said they needed help, we came running. It was such a relaxing match after being so frustrated with a bunch of other idiots from earlier games. I was literally bitching at my TV thanks to those earlier dumbasses.

Oh well... At least I can confirm something: Narc 3 shows the stealth people aiming at me on TSNK matches! That's how my KDR was so high.

After a day of using Narc 3, I can safely say it is WELL worth it. Get it ASAP.

Geez, espy, it seems like you get booted everytime I see you in a room. The nerve of you to use CQC and the knife...you know...things that the developers put in the game!

I did it to ONE guy that match. And he was a sniper camping out on one of the roofs. I guess going across the entire map, climbing up the building and knifing someone just sitting there looking into the scope is cheap.

After a day of using Narc 3, I can safely say it is WELL worth it. Get it ASAP.

I'm surprised people didn't accuse you of glitching, whatever that is. Since Narc 3 is shared on SOP, I'm surprised your teammates didn't kill people aiming at you, reducing your KDR. Good thing CQC and knifing don't show up Narc 3 until it's too late, at least I think.

I'm surprised too. I could've sworn I was eventually going to get booted from the game, but every single person in that room was pretty cool. My teammates were usually divided in places to go. One stayed with me, two or three stayed on the roof, and two more went around trying to find the remaining people.

And no, CQC & knifing doesn't show up unless they're auto-aiming you.

One more thing: I figured out all the NVG spawn points for U.U. (4), M.M. (3), and maybe A.A (2?). For B.B. and G.G., I only know of a few spawn points for each. I think B.B. only has one spawn point to begin with, but G.G.'s spawns are hard as hell to find. One or two are in the factory and another is in a truck next to the man-cannon in the southwest corner (if you're viewing the map).

I gotta level up my pistol next...

is runner actually any good? I'm almost at level 3, but I don't know how worth it is vs. using a weapon skill...

I'm thinking of my 2 mains being lvl-2 pistol/lvl-2 rifle or whatever else is worth it... I'm not a stealth player or sniper guy so ... um, yeah.

I know the 4 for UU, MM I know 3 as well but it sometimes feels like I'm missing 1, AA I know 1 (map center) the other spots I get confused since they all look alike. BB I know 1. GG there are 2 in the factory (center and top corner). There's one IN the truck? Hmm.

Rolento for the way you play, runner probably isn't useful at all. L2 runner is okay, L3 is a waste unless you need it for capture and don't need weapons.

That whole game, people on our team were getting booted. That other team was just a bunch of babies, apparently. At one point, it was down to like 7 on 3. Funny thing was, I had something like a 10/1 K/D, and yet, no one tried to get me booted.

thx... I never felt Runner actually helped my character much at all... I guess I'll be doing pistols and whatnot... from there on I will focus on grenades. I kinda wanna take a break from playing until they bring out the reward system since it will give me less wasted time other than leveling skills.

Yeah. I'll show you which truck if you're online later. I'll start teabagging the spot. :lol:

A.A. has three spots then, I guess. Completely forgot about the dead center NVG spawn point. The other two spots are relatively close to each character spawn. One is in the bombed out room before the room to where the Kerotan Frog is in TSNE. It has a ceiling above it. The other one is in the northwest corner (if you're looking at the map) in the bombed out area. No ceiling above it. I believe there's two pillars in that area, also. From the northeast spawn, turn right and run straight past the wrecked car and it's in that area.

Vague descriptions, but I'll show you the spots later.

I like the thing about team traps being visible. During one sneaking mission on Bloodbath, stuff started exploding and I was like huh, how did Snake get grenades? Then I realized my teammate had just been setting down random claymores. #-o
 
Well, they're doing maintenance in about an hour and a half (6 PM PST) and it's going to last until 1 AM (PST). After the maintenance, I assume the download for the update will be available along with the Gene Expansion, if anyone wants it.

Shotgun scope sounds damn fun too. xD

Where did you get this info from?

According to Konami's E3 site, the Gene Expansion is $11.99, and the Gene Expansion Plus is $14.99. I wonder if we have to go through the MGO Shop or the PlayStation Store to get it.
