I didn't know it was ever sold out at GameStop.com, every time I look at it and don't buy it it's still in stock...
 
Just got back from GameStop and watched the employee that I talked to on the phone make "several attempts" to put my order through for the MM n3DSXL and they all failed, according to him GS is sold out in store and online as well now

You must be just a little late to the party, I ordered one ~45 minutes ago in store. Of course in these situations 45 minutes is a lifetime.

No link directly to it. You have to go to the Monster Hunter 4 page and click on the Collector's Edition box. It's been sold out for a while now, but more will probably open up when payments get declined around release day.

Ugh, here we go again....

I was holding off on a 3DS XL largely for a cool special edition (well that and their abysmal account system). Now that one is out for my favorite game (a NEW 3DS no less) it already looks like it 9s unobtainable.....

FFS Nintendo why?

Anyone have an idea / pic of what the N3DS XL for the Monster Hunter looks like aside from the front and back? WOndering of the interios is also black or maybe silver similar to the overall color. I have that one preordered...sort of had a feel for silver more than gold. =)

Think it's just like the black one's interior. Colored letters on the buttons, everything else black.

 
Oh ok! Thanks! Was trying to look at different sites and all I find are the front / back panels and nothing on the inside. Black and silver suits me fine though so I'm happy. Surprised that the MH one isn't sold out yet especially since it's the one that is showing up as exclusive for now.

Yeah I preordered one in case I can't find the MM n3DS. I like the silver, but I don't like the MONSTER HUNTER 4 ULTIMATE text on the cover.

I don't think it sold out just pulled cause according to Nintendo official pre orders aren't supposed to start until tomorrow I think GameStop just jumped the gun
 
Does anyone else find it kind of crazy that this broke bestbuy.com?  I mean, I guess it could be a different problem, but you have not been able to make an order off of bb.com for a few hours now and it happened shortly after gamestop put up pre orders.

 
Where are people getting the "gamestop just jumped the gun" stuff from?  Like they just watched the nintendo direct and said "HOLY S**T GUYS PUT THEM UP AS SOON AS IT'S OVER!".  This sorta stuff is planned and organized, just as they had the banners and assets ready, and as soon as the majora's mask 3ds sold out, they updated their home page to reflect that and then it just showed monster hunter in the picture.

It's called wishful thinking, saw the same posts after MM LE sold out last week. You see people comforting themselves by saying nintendo will make more and there will be more preorders available.
 
Well if they don't make more there's a good chance I will skip the "New" 3DS altogether.  If it's anything like the DSi it won't do anything I care about that can't be duplicated with a CPP anyways.  I just wanted a 3DS XL to play at home and keep my launch unit for when I travel.  Something that would look cool on a shelf when I wasn't playing it.  This is perfect, but if Nintendo wants to play their stupid little consumerist games then I will just pass on the new system altogether and stick with my launch unit.

It's a shame.... this really is a cool looking design.

Question about Prime

I currently am part of a 30 day free trial for my Prime and got my email about the Majora's Mask LE release day which lands after my trial ends. Will I still get the 2 day since I placed my pre order when I had Prime or will it switch to standard shipping since my Prime trial ended?

Very possible. Only the Monster Hunter edition was confirmed as a Gamestop exclusive.

Also, the MM version has never been identified as limited. So there could always be more of them made available.

They'll switch it to standard, they did it with all of my free 2-day shipping preorders when I pet my Prime expire temporarily.

they will either change it to standard for you or they will charge you the price of the 2 day shipping since the order isn't charged or processed until release but in short no you will not get two day shipping free

Worst case, you can return it in store for the full amount minus any shipping charges. That would tie up your money twice though, if you were to order a second one.

Is BBY or amazon getting the Majoras mask 3ds xl LE? I saw stuff about BBY site getting hammered but nothing on if it was up there. Id rather not get it at GS, but will if i have to. I actually dont really care about the new 3ds, but thats a nice looking system, may get one if i can.

Also i know GS is sold out online, but is in store orders working? I see some people saying it works others saying it doesnt. I usually do a ship to home order but people mentioned something called a web to store order or something? Can anyone clarify how that works?

in store i think might have some left but you have to pay the full amount at that of ordering. and Amazon WILL NOT be getting it since amazon does not sell Nintendo handhelds directly and havent for years due to problems the two companies had years ago

 
by the way anyone think the Rebirth 2 LE will go up early? Sick today so would rather not sit here refreshing for an hour or two early if i can avoid it =P

Pretty sure BBY will have the handheld up for pre-order, possibly tomorrow though because some folks are saying pre-orders aren't supposed to be up yet or something like that. Their 3DS section is working now and I see no mention of the n3DSXL. I would rather order mine from BBY also, so if it goes up and I can snag one I'll cancel my GS pre-order.

I went in and asked for a "ship to home order" and they understood what i meant. this thread is moving so fast though, it seems like they might have stopped doing that already, im not sure, safer to just make a phone call than just taking a trip to GS

no list of retailers, no one else has put up pre-orders other than GS

ZERO chance of amazon having it (MMN3DSXL). Pretty sure TRU, TARGET, BBY will have it since it is NOT a GS exclusive

how do you do that though? I usuallly just do a ship to home but people are talking about web to store or something, whats it called and how do i do it? my GS employees are idiots i want to make sure they do it right if its possible, so i need to know what to ask for. I didn't know that about Amazon good to know. HOpefully BBY gets it though

Do you know when they started doing this? I know in the past (when I was still using a bunch of trials), any orders made with Prime kept the prime shipping.

 
So Amazon updated my Majora's Mask LE to February 17th delivery date. I thought the game was coming out on the 13th? Anyone else have this happen to them?

Edit: Got it cleared up. Apparently  i'm in the last batch. At least it gives me some breathing room for MH4.

I just let my Prime lapse in late November and all of the dozen or so items I preordered for December delivery still shipped with Prime two day service. Pretty sure as long as you preorder something when you have Prime, you receive that delivery service whether or not you are still Prime at release.

I can near to confirm that GameStop in-store is OOS, is went OOS literally while I was standing in line and several redditors have confirmed similar situations, it has been hours since someone last confirmed a successful in store purchase, although someone on Reddit also wrote a few hours ago:

"A friend of mine works at gamestop and he tried ordering 2 one for me and one for him, he said the system was laggy and all fucked up and he said it worked but then a second later it said sold out and he didn't get them.

He then got confirm emails for both orders, called his boss and confirmed that if you got confirm emails you can pay and still get them. Not sure all of the details."

Sounds like a long shot to me but considering I did get three separate emails from those failed attempts, it would be awesome.

Similar thing happened to me, it's the 16th for me now. Not happy at all, I paid for Day 1 shipping.

really hope so. I have like $400 in reward certs so using some on this would justify the idiocy of buying another 3ds system. Id rather get a GS one locked in just in case though, like you.

ship to home sounds like wha ti did in the past. But people were talking about a web to store or something. My GS employees are kinda dumb so i wanted to know exactly what to ask for. *blea* think i'll get some pants on and drive down right now and check. Dont want to miss this if its not avalible anywhere else. Wanted to stay in all day since i dont feel good, stupid sexy system

Apparently there is only one way to pre-order the handheld in-store and that is for shipping to home (budget shipping is free!). Surely they can help you with this...but it's definitely worth calling before putting your pants on.
