I'm already pissed as is, but I'll be fucking LIVID if that's the cause of this. Over a measly $10.

Also, I certainly hope they're giving us $50 for this. I really only wanted the figure, but whatever. fuck us collectors.
 
I'm elite plus, paid in full with a Giftcard and mine still says validated payment, but my Amazon order is shipping now. So if nothing else I atleast have one to open it seems. Open first, seal later on this one.
 
If they were to start punishing people who pay for their memberships like that, then I think they'd have a pretty big backlash in complaints. Then again what do I know.

I went around stores asking about the availability of the LE Skull Kid & MM 3DS on release day in Phoenix, no good news to report:

-Fry's would not comment on availability and the associate was so stupid he said they would not be in high demand and to just come in an hour or two after openin (probably trying to deflect traffic, or perhaps the dumbest retail worker in town)

-Target will not have the Skull Kid LE but each store I visited said they had 5 of the MM 3DS on hand for Friday

-Best Buy will not have any of the above, but will have red and black 3DS in stock!

Didn't use GCU and I got cancelled. Got mine in the first wave of orders. No reason why it should be cancelled now unless BB was just cancelling at random due to low stock from Nintendo. Pretty pissed about this. I'm so fed up with Nintendo's bullshit night now.
 
best buy should have done the same as they did with the console. limit it to 1 per person and cancel the multiples. It's just wrong to cancel just a couple days before release.

 
So, was BBY ever one of the official stores to carry the MM LE? I remember there being something from somewhere saying this was exclusive to Amazon and GS. :whistle2:k

I called Best Buy support and they said I would receive a $50 code by email in 2-3 days. I hope she was correct and not just telling me what I wanted to hear.

I got the same claim from BB customer support. I ordered 2, 1 for me and 1 for a friend, so I should get 2 codes. I got nothing though when they cancelled my N3DS MM system.

 
Best Buy has multiple warehouses so pure timestamps aren't going to be that useful.  It sounds like BBY was told by Nintendo it was going to get X copies, and it presold about that many and told Nintendo how many to ship to each warehouse.  

Then this week rolls around and Nintendo ships to each of the BBY warehouses less than what Best Buy asked for, and now Best Buy has to cancel orders.  Its not a global cancel, they are cancelling based off how many arrived at the warehouse and how many orders they got.  So for example in NYC maybe they had 1000 orders and only got in 600 so 400 will have to be cancelled, but in California maybe 2000 orders and they got 1800 so only 200 cancels (these are all made up numbers).

Yeah it was. It was on the site as unavailable late 7pm. I kept refreshing from my phone until I could add to cart.

So your saying yours is canceled despite putting your order in right as it opened? Mine first order is timed at 8:38pm eastern and it's in preparing to ship status. My second order for my cousin was 9:08pm eastern and it got moved from preparing to ship back to payment validated (status unavailable). I'm expecting my 2nd one to get canceled.

That's how it appears to be. Like the other poster said, it may be due to the distribution centers, and probably mixed with randomly chosen cancelations. Its not the first timed bby fucked me over. They offered me the Titanfall CE for $60 and when I ordered it, they cancelled it, and sent me a standard copy that never arrived.

I thought .com orders were all shipped from the same location (Ohio). I know that is where mine always come from outside of a few special circumstances where they ship directly from a store

Looks like this is definitely not the case with the Majora's Mask stuff. Several bestbuy employee CAGers already reported the MM 3dsxl are in the different distribution centers waiting to be shipped. We know now they're not being shipped to stores.
 
If anything this has taught me to order every ce from best buy going forward even if I don't want it in hopes they cancel and give me free money.

ill think about it! thing is i dont buy enough games, or the games i want are never in stock at BB. so $30 is kinda high for me right now for that kind of investment. but would i be able to return/rebuy/adjust with this?

also, it really sucks to hear that most of you are getting your orders cancelled. i had a slight feeling BB was going to pull a fast one. if mine gets cancelled, ill be at least happy that i was able to get shulk i guess.

i just really want that figurine man...
