All my Nintendo stuff has now shipped or been received.  CE guide from amazon, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate from Best Buy (no pin sadly), Gamestop bundle that I ordered friday RECEIVED today (!), and 3DS XL + MM LE from Best Buy all shipped today (for my brother in law).  

Jealous of you guys who got cancel notices and then Best Buy sent the game free, thats pretty damn awesome

Almost done with the system transfer process, it takes a while and is confusing/annoying as heck especially with 2 system updates.  Keep in mind you'll need a #0 philips small screwdriver if you want to move a 32gb (or bigger) microSD card into your MM 3DS XL.

edit: system transfer done, new 32GB microSD card installed.  Everything transfered over ok including eShop DSI games I had bought, all my streetpass relays, and all my save games and stuff.  Removing the backplate is a bit scary, the screws don't come all the way out just loosens the backplate enough so you can pop it out.  Do it over a clear space in case the screws fall out, don't wanna lose those things.

My thoughts, exactly. But then, I look at the backlog of games i have bought and never played at all, and realize that game length is kind of irrelevant when you don't have the time to fully invest anyway. I probably have enough unplayed gaming content to last me a few years as it is.

While I certainly understand everyone's situation is different, I have come to realize that I would actually appreciate and enjoy games that can deliver a AAA gaming experience but with a shorter time commitment that I can squeeze into my crowded family life.

This guy gets it.

The Order is visually stunning, has a unique setting, historical fantasies and hopefully engaging story. Throw in some tight traditional gameplay and it fits perfectly in my (non-handheld) gaming schedule, which is maybe one hour every two days. I do not have the time for multiple playthroughs nor the patience to deal with kids in online multiplayer (If I want to be screamed at by kids I will just wake my baby up).

We should have both for 60 dollars full retail. That's the problem people are having. Short campaign? No worries I'll get extra play time with multiplayer. Short campaign and no multiplayer? No worries its probably 40 bucks. Oh it's full retail? No worries I'll buy it when it drops to half next month.

It's hard to have universally metrics for what $60 should bring. I myself almost always wait for price drops (for obvious reasons). I'm just saying to me, a game like The Order is much more enjoyable than, say, Titanfall, either when they both are all $60 or $40 post release. I would rather go through a strikingly beautiful environment once than spend weeks in the same few maps killing kids I don't know.

I got the same email from Amazon about the game coming next week. I have talked with two reps. One upgraded me to next day shipping which put it at Monday, but neither could get it to be here ON release day. Both were clueless about it and kept feeding me lines about why. One even said it was because of my location that I am not receiving it on release day. I told him I have received other games/movies/etc on release day. I have a frickin Amazon warehouse less than 150 miles from me. I live in a city. The warehouse is out in the country somewhere.

In other news, my MMN3DS XL also shipped. The Best Buy forums are full of angry people. One guy received his N3DS today and it was packed in a bubble mailer. Typical Best Buy.

Fair point! And hey there's nothing wrong with preferring single player to multiplayer. I'm old enoug to come from a pre online everything era and young enough that I still remembering hooking up my home console online for the first time (on dial up).

My point though is that if you're going to do single player, fine. Just make sure you give me enough reasons to keep coming back. Whether it's because I keep getting distracted by stuff to finish to main story like Skyrim, who's main story is quite short, or the world is a playground like the MGS series. Hell you could even be arcade like with the intent for your players to play the main campaign over and over again for a higher score like Bayonetta.

Unfortunately I'm not seeing anything like that with The Order but I would love to be wrong. Sony/PS4 needs a good exclusive badly.
 
Did Bestbuy ever have any of the Mortal Kombat X collector's editions listed?  Also has anyone heard anything from TriForce regarding the Inquistion editions?

I concur with this. I don't have as much time to game as I used to - especially now that I have a 13-month old. I will absolutely play The Order - just not now, not at full price. I will buy it new... in a couple months when it goes on sale.
The reason I canceled my CE preorder is because of price. I suppose the CAG in me won this time.
 
Woot, got my MM LE from Gamestop, perfect condition.  Went in and returned the guide....then found out it was apparently somewhat indemand.

Don't regret it though, I'd literally never use it and it felt like a waste of 38$.

I just looked at the details and the weight is only 0.10 lbs. What the hell? Might they just be sending me a letter saying "sorry we were out of stock" to troll me? I wouldn't put it past them at this point.

I called to complain when mine were beat up and they gave me 20% back for my order. They will try to offer only 10% but I talked them to 20%.

Games have been $60 for a long time.

If you look back at circular adds from the 90's you'll see that a lot of NES, SNES, and N64 games were actually 50 - 90 dollars a piece. Adjusting for inflation, games are cheaper than they've ever been.

After sitting by the door all day waiting for UPS to arrive, they finally dropped off my Monster Hunter & MM Consoles from GS as well as the free MM LE game from Best buy.  Mine had absolutely no damage, even in the little view window in front of the skull kid.  I would've kept shopping at BBY because of the GCU, but it is good to know that they will still take one for the team when they really screw something up.

You gotta be shitting me. My MM LE box can in absolutely PERFECT, but something was rattling. I figured it was the game. Opened up Skull Kid and had a piece just flop out broken.

Wow, can't believe cancelled orders are getting the LoZ: MM LE for free. I didn't really care at first, but this works out very well. Might actually hold on to mine, at least for now. I kinda feel sorry for the ones who didn't get cancelled and had to pay for theirs. We are literally the winners. :D/

 
Has anyones Order 1886 CE's shipped from Best Buy yet?  Release date is friday, would have to ship in the next day or two unless they overnight it.  Mine isn't even past the first stage yet.

mine hasn't shipped yet but usually don't until the day before if it a Friday release since it a day delivery from louisville which is where all best buy pre orders usually come from

mine's still payment validated. I guess in the next few days it will change to preparing order and I'll get it probably early next week.

 
My majora mask 3ds xl finally shipped overnight! Getting it tomorrow if the snow isn't too bad for ups. But my limited edition game still hasn't shipped. I ordered two, one for a friend. One came Friday, the other is still in preparing to ship :(

Does Best Buy guarantee release day delivery like Amazon? I don't see anything conclusive...

I'm hoping they don't decide to ship on release day
