The PS3-DE version had full German text so I wouldn't be surprised if the PS4 version is the same.

Thanks. Do you know if it is just subtitle text? Or are all the menus and stuff in German too? I basically need English text and menus. I've never purchased any other region's games except for NA and JP. So I'm not familiar with how they work in EU with all the various languages.

 
Today I noticed that I have 3 pending card holds from Wal-Mart for 178. (This is back when those preorder games and Arkham Knight LE were on sale). Kinda irked me to see 540 missing from my account. Is this common?
 
I crashed at 6:20 this morning shortly before they went up on AMZ. I was thinking along the same lines with other cags that BBY would be opening up them pre orders early this morning. Was able to secure a :ps4: CE from AMZ just now so glad things worked out so far. My theories on when BBY lists pre orders is moot now. Damn science!!

 
Cool, got a CE of MGS5 on PS4 pre ordered in time from amazon.

Hopefully I can catch one when bestbuy puts them up. Id never be as stupid as to pay for GCU, because who pays for the ability to get a discount from only one retailer, that has restrictions, and for a limited amount of time when just being patient or looking for deals other places will get you the same discount for free. But I was in a bestbuy and had a heated discussion with a rather pushy employee trying to shove GCU down my throat and when I filled out the survey I got an email  from the store manager apologizing and asking if I would GCU for free. So now I have it for free. Be nice to use it on a 100 dollar game.

Well, they didn't permanently charge me. None of the games are out. They already did a card hold right when I ordered, like last month or the month before. But that was only one charge... I just don't understand why there are 3 pending charges totalling almost 540 today. I'd call Wal-Mart, but I don't count on them being very informative.

I'd have to go back through my order history, but I know I have saved WAY more than what I paid for GCU.  And we aren't talking about a small amount.  The Claptrap edition alone saved me $80.

 
I paid 60 for my GCU and don't even mind that its 30 now.  In the interim of me getting it and it going to 30, I probably saved well over 200.  This site is cheapassgamer, not dumbassgamer.  The retail employee was most likely exasperated at how daft you were being.   On the games with with the 10 dollar rc, your savings is actually 37%.  Please tell me in all your searching where you are finding that on launch day?

having a hard time deciding if I want the phantom pain collectors edition I like the packaging, steelbook case, behind the scenes documentary, and additional game content but that arm is whats keeping me from ordering........ I might pre order when its available on best buy BTW when did the bloodborne collector edition sell out on best buy? just checked and it says sold out online.......

GCU is by far one of the best buy (pun intended) I've made. In the span of 4 months, I've saved over $200 (well not me alone, since I help my friends out, and in return, I just get the 2x reward points which quickly netted me $20 in rewards).

it has actually sold out a couple times and come back in stock. don't think this is limited since it's available with no limit at amazon (usually the limit is 3) so I'd expect it to come back

Does anyone here actually think it's going to be rare? I don't think so :/ 

I own the Bravely Default and PS3 FFXIV CE. I know those two were actually rare but I think Type 0 might be a clunker. I saw the 200 page manga and said "fudge it!"

I'm sort of in the same boat as you. I don't really have an interest in the arm, but want everything else. I'll probably just sell the arm to anyone that wants for it.

 
The Type 0 collector's edition value will be directly related to how good the game is. If the game sucks it'll tank in value. But if it's good...
 
I really don't think that MGS CE is going to be difficult to get around the time it comes out.

Maybe hard to find at GCU price... but not hard to find in general.

Ordered mine from Square. They charged me last week I believe. I'm hoping for it to arrive on release day but since they've changed from Digital River who knows how good or bad their new company is.

Speaking about that, anyone update their Square Store account? I tried to merge my store account with the email address I pre-ordered the game from with as the email told me to. It hasn't shown up on the account page yet.

its meehhh, I got it on my hacked psp go and was ok, the battle system seems good, but im old schooler ....turn based rocks :) aside FFXIV that is ;)

 
For those who preorder the Phantom Pain CE, check your emails as the regular edition was on sale on Walmart for $40.xx for a day or two and people PM'd amazon and Best Buy to that price.  Even with a GCU discount I'd rather just pay $43.xx for PP, play it, trade it in, and then if I really liked it pick up a cheap copy of the CE on AWD/etc.  Given that you can order essentially infinite copies at amazon right now I don't think it'll be that rare.

on the plus side it looks like the CE comes with both the regular case and steelbook so should be easier for trades, unlike most CEs nowadays which come with steelbook only.

Considering how FFXV fans are holding on hope that the game is good because it has a remote resemblence to the combat system from Type-0 I'd say it'll be positively received outside of people who are gonna bitch at the graphics

I don't think it will be rare either. Squeenix store still has it in stock (though surprisingly xbox version is on a waiting list), and they still had 5000 left when I got some email from them a couple weeks back or so.

To compare, Drakengard 3 CE only had 5000 copies total and was an exclusive to their store unlike Type 0, and it was sold out of pre-orders for quite a while. And months later it was still easy to get for roughly retail elsewhere. While value didn't tank, it wasn't rare enough where it was hard to find or had a really jacked up price.

To compare, Drakengard 3 CE only had 5000 copies total and was an exclusive to their store unlike Type 0, and it was sold out of pre-orders for quite a while. And months later it was still easy to get for roughly retail elsewhere. While value didn't tank, it wasn't rare enough where it was hard to find or had a really jacked up price.

This might go up once it gets more mainstream press and good reviews. Drakengard 3 sold out because drakengard fans are intense and the value plummetted after it turned out to be such a polarizing game
