So My bank decided to block the charge and I went ahead and confirmed it also went to Amazon for them to retry the card. Now I have 2 transactions lol will one of them drop off?
 
Each bank/CC will be based on different rates. Some are higher/lower than others. My bank just happens to charge on a different rate and it made it $5 higher. Will also get charged a conversion fee in a couple days as well. Probably around $8-$10 (or around 2%). Still, not that big a deal. Still better than the £ to $ conversion. The console was similar in price to a domestic console after € conversion.

I got the Fast shipping, whichever that is.  Expected delivery is September 11th which is not a big deal.  I will have the game to play on my normal PS4 in the meantime.  I figured as long as I had a console already, save the shipping charges and go with the cheapest option.

EDIT: My total was $402.31 btw.  Not sure if that includes the $8 dollar conversion fee but I will take it lol

I got charged for my MGS console too. It was $409.44 on my Capital One card shipped Amazon Global Prioritare, the middle option. Delivery estimate 9/5=9/11, No conversion foreign transaction fee yay!

Amazon.fr couldn't processed my CC. It's weird though because that is an amazon card and I use it all the time with amazon.com. Hopefully my new CC payment will be fine with them. 

 
I was charged €358.49 which Amex says is about $404. This is from Amazon France with the cheapest shipping (€8). Glad I got in on it instead of Amazon Spain.

I don't think it's that bad. Still not far off from a domestic console. Still WAY better than a console from the UK and converting GBP to USD. The UK console is £319.99. After conversion it would be approximately $493.77. Granted that is without the removal VAT. Not sure how much that would remove and IF the store would remove it. Amazon.co.uk would. Not sure about game.co.uk., but they wouldn't ship it to the USA anyways.

Now that we are getting closer to the ps4 coming, Im starting to get sad that I will be seeing my white ps4 go. Its so sweet looking, but I fucking love the MGS V one. 

 
Someone has to say it.... fuck it and keep them both! Put the white one away as a spare or as a collectors item. That's what I would do, but I'm weird that way.

I agree. I learned long ago when I got rid of many systems and games back in the late 90s and early 2000s that it was a mistake. A lot of the games and systems are more expensive now and I spent more trying to recollect my childhood. Luckily I got into getting them back before the last few years since the prices of 8 and 16 bit games have skyrocketed even more recently. (especially as I prefer only getting complete copies of games)

 
Some games might still end up being region locked (it's up to the publisher) so it probably wouldn't hurt to have an NTSC PS4 on hand.

 
I always find it interesting when people talk about premium prices on retro games when those titles all costed $50-80 back in the day anyways.  All but a select few haven't gone up in value at all and in fact costed more back in the day, even more so when you adjust for inflation.

I wasn't kidding when I said I am weird that way. I have a Launch Black PS4 (currently in use), Batman PS4, 20th Anniversary PS4, and soon the MGS PS4. And that's just PS4. I passed on the white system and the new Destiny Taken King White system. Not a huge fan of Destiny.

Typing that out I see how truly crazy I am. :whee:

Totally agree with you. I made the mistake of selling my old systems. BIG mistake on my part. Now I'm going back and re-collecting a lot of those old games. Biggest regret was selling my Sega Saturn collection. I had some really awesome domestic and import games. Even some rare ones like Psychic Killer Taromaru. No way I'm paying $450 for a copy of that now.

How do you guys get such low prices? My Base is 349.99 euros and the lowest shipping cost for me is 28 euros...and it's telling me it's $453 but it should be around $430. Dammit France.

I might be interested in selling my Black TLOU PS4 once the MGSV one comes in. Console has been used for like 4 months and is in mint condition. Plus, TLOU code is unused. PM me if this might be something you would be interested in.

Amazon product page mentions that the DLC wasn't included in the PS4 MGS V CE and that it'd be e-mailed within 48 hours of the items being shipped. I'm really hoping they send it out by Wednesday. Also, I ordered two so they better not pull that Amazon stingy DLC bullshit where they used to try to only send one per account

My anniversary console is opened, but I haven't used it. I couldn't resist the temptation to open and see it. It's just too cool. I don't keep stuff sealed personally, but I understand why some do.

Hope they don't ship it in a bubble mailer from France. I thought about ordering it myself, but really worried the steelbook will come damaged. I will be interested to hear how your steelbook arrives.

 
I am concerned about packing and damage in transit for things crossing the Atlantic, especially since I'm buying things for my collection and replacements are really feasible.

I paid for the more expensive option (the second of the three shipping methods).
