A lot of misinformation about custom fees...

If your items are being delivered by USP/FedEx/DHL you're most likely paying "brokerage" fees NOT custom fees.

 
Tomb raider collector's edition does not even contain the digital addons offered in the Germany steelbool editoon
 
Even more ridiculous is that it includes a replica of Lara's jade necklace, i.e. the exact same thing that came with the CE guide the last time. At least give us new stuff.

They should have a 5 minute clip of some chick dressed up as Lara Croft climbing one of those indoor rock walls. She then goes behind a curtain and emerges with her panties in a baggie and puts them in the CE box. A japanese businessman, then comes into frame with a factory seal, seals the box, and presents the box to the camera. $499.99 limited to 300 units. Instant sell out.

Come on Squareenix, hire me! I am a marketing genius. They should make it a Amazon Japan exclusive, so I have to read 1,000 posts about people trying to figure out how to import it.

There was a card set called "signature rookies" (maybe 1994-96) The big thing is they had a redemption system. I saved up enough points to get a Kareem Abdul Jabbar mini basketball signed. The company went bankrupt, but the CEO/owner said they would honor the redemption.

Months later I got a Kareem Jabbar signed photo of the football player. :wall:

How are they asking for an extra $90? I"m assuming you're subtracting GCU and preorder certificates?

I'm not a giants fan, it's still cool though.

It states it's a prime exclusive, or maybe just the lightning deal is? If I knew they only made "X" amount, as in less then 1,000 and they were numbered I'd buy it. Kind of a tough sell though when there are signed OBJ jersey's going for less.

Lol I remember signature rookies, yea I don't think the general collecting community take autographed items from this company seriously. Nowadays I'd only trust the few big name sports card companies (upper deck, panini, topps etc), or PSA certified, or Steiner sports (which is the company that certifies this Madden signed cover. So the Beckham auto I'd definitely real, but his auto on a Madden cover does not worth nearly that much, Real or not.

Game alone = $59.99, Game with signed cover = $149.99, so your basically paying $90 for his signature. Plus it's not even serial numbered. You can buy Beckham autos made by Topps, Panini, Upper Deck serial numbered to less than 100 with COA for cheaper than $90.

I don't think that Tomb Raider CE statue looks bad - it looks like a decent representation of the box art.  Of course, the problem is having no idea what it's made of.  I've been underwhelmed by too many CE statues to risk adding another huge box to my closet.  That Arkham Knight "statue" was probably the final straw for me...  if this Tomb Raider statue were more "Witcher 3" and less "Arkham Knight",  I might be tempted....

I've actually moved into original art. I got lucky when Upper Deck started selling off their production art from leftover redemptions that never got pulled. They had discount codes as spacers in their products at that time, so I was picking up 1/1 paintings for 15%-30% off their price on the website. I think I bought 5 or 6 paintings total, but my favorite is the one of Lemieux that they used to make this card:

Not sure what you're looking at but as part of the lighting deal the game with extra signed cover shows as $119.99. Maybe that's the prime pricing?

Also, this version of madden is $69.99.

So it's a $50 premium.

 
As a big fan of the game, I really want to preorder that Deadly Premonition LE, even though I have it on Xbox 360 and PS3 already. I just saw the email and thought it was some glitch or error.
