Not the greatest CE, the arm is kinda cool / dumb, at least it holds a PS4 controller. I'm going to try to have it arm wrestle my Titanfall statue.

GCU is really influencing my decision to get CEs these days. I have no interest in that Deus Ex one until it hits Best Buy for preorder. I have gotten every Assassins Creed CE they've put out but not this time with the Ubi exclusive. Also not a fan how they are jacking up the price on that and The Division by $30-40 forcing you to get the season pass.

 
If anyone is still looking, I was able to do an in store preorder for Uncharted 4 CE and Zelda 3DS at GameStop even though it is sold out online. Going to cancel my online preorders later because I hate paying for shipping.

Loving the MGS5 CE, the arm feels nice and sturdy (for its size I suppose) and all the fingers are fully articulated, it's really cool.  Of course avoid getting this CE completely unless you want to display it.

I have the little diamond dog logo on my MGS 5 CE, but it doesn't really do anything... there's nothing for it to clasp onto and lock. Well looking carefully at it theres a little indentation it lines up with, it sorta keeps it closed but the lightest touch will swing the case open. They shoulda used magnets or something.

Or in true metal gear "this is like my anime!" style, shoulda had a super sharp needle that you prick yourself with every time you open and close the box.

Still nothing from amazon on day 0 / CE codes, hope they send it out asap. A neogaf member contacted Konami and was told Amazon is going to email out the codes in the next 48 hours.

Hmm, I will find out when I get home and let you know how mine turns out.

 
So the UPS man just came, and I'm kinda underwhelmed by the MGS5 CE. The first off putting thing was they they essentially printed a picture of cheap leather onto a faux-leather box, and the arm is a lot smaller and more plasitcy than I thought. Anyways, I forgot it came with a steelbook, which I'm content with. This may very well be my first and last Collector's Edition video game (unless of course Mass Effect Andromeda ends up being really nice).

It's annoying the steelbook doesn't hold both discs that come with the CE.

 
I agree it is pretty cheap, but is this really that big of a surprise?

90% of business these days is trying to find any possible way people can to exploit and take advantage. This is partly facetious, but only partly, because I could easily see the meeting going something like this:

Boss: So how are things going with MGSV for the NA release?

Staffer: Everything is on schedule, sir. But I would like to make a recommendation

Boss: Yes?

Staffer: This is a huge hit series, and people eat up collector's editions these days. I say we produce one for this title. I think customers will flock to it.

Boss: and what would we have in it?

Staffer: I don't know... people seem to like steelbooks, and some type of statue or something.

Boss: and how much is this going to cost?

Staffer: Depends on the quality of the items

Boss: Well, you say people love MGS... do you think people would buy it even if we threw a bunch of cheap crap in it?

Staffer: Oh, definitely. People go nuts for Metal Gear.

Boss: Cheap it is, then. No need to shell out extra money for something people will buy anway.

Staffer: Ok, I'll set up the arrangements!

The European steelbook actually has two disc holder and they also have that sweet Diamond Dogs Fridge magnet, oh and don't forget the included CE DLC too.

Sucks that the steelbook doesnt even have 2 slots too fit the 2 disc. Also sucks that the game case isnt anything special. They could have atleast change the artwork and note its from the CE or something. Will boot this up later tonight if i have some time.

The shipping box is beaten and dented, but the game box is still sealed in perfect condition. Everything inside rattles around pretty good though. I think I'm just going to give it away to ease the suffering of the children. 

 
My amazon CE order says its arriving on the 7th? Is this normal?

I did choose the free saver shipping but I thought they still arrived on launch day.

 
My BB CEs came with no issues.   I love it and even more so since I didn't have to leave my catbox

That sucks about the late delivery for you guys. If it makes you feel any better, mine has been sitting on my porch for the last 10+ hrs while I'm stuck at work.
