Not sure how long it'll be. My guess is this game will be just as easy to get as the other games that were bundled with Amiibos once it comes out. But, doesn't hurt to lock one down with GCU.

I got a standard edition of the game. Most likely that is what everyone is getting since they probably just set aside a bunch of the standard editions for this program. Manufacturing a bunch of CE disks would probably be more of a challenge for them versus swiping a crate of vanilla editions from their inventory.

Most likely I'll keep my pc version sealed b/c I keep the pc version of every fallout game sealed (since that is where it all started). If PS4 is not selling significantly higher, I'll crack it open and trade in the game when it has a decent value, since we all know there will be a GOTY/complete version down the road.

Newegg has Assassins Creed Unity Collectors Edition for both PS4 and Xbox One for $39.99, must use the code EMCKANX87 to get $60 off. At first I thought the code worked and gets you $60 off on anything on the site but apparently not. It did work on both versions of this collectors edition though.

Had almost the exact same encounter, right down to them saying they'd make a note that I wanted the LE disc and extra Tray for the steelbook -- also thought maybe I'd be getting the LE from it. Nope. Just retail green box, no special disc, and had to open second chat session for other code (was pretty quick on that though). Do let us know if yours turns out differently though!

And for the record, I didn't pay $250. With GCU and a few expiring certs I had it was less than $180 iirc. Still, I feel gypped at that price.

Yeah the price sucked but even if I got the CE and waited for the price to drop to $100 (how many months is that?), I'd be paying roughly the same. I'd rather just save the waiting/headache and just get it now. I paid about $150 because I had been banking points all year for this. GCU + $55 in certs + gift card.

The rep almost forgot the code until I reminded her. I think if I get the standard edition I'll start another chat and see what they do.

A statue, an art book, a soundtrack CD, and a functional wooden music box for $100. Remember, for that same price, Halo 5 gave you a steelbook, a bunch of paper, and a "statue" that my friend said is really flimsy and has some horribly written instructions.

I'm on the fence. I think it may go for 29.99 if GS still does conversions, but I also have a feeling they will sell out a newegg at $40. To date, I've only been able to get 1 clearance AC CE and it was the one with the jack in the box (I think for $30-$39).

Yeah, I bought the Halo 5 limited edition and I'm fairly disappointed. $40 more really gets you nothing, especially because I'll probably buy Fall of Reach on blu-ray anyways.

I ordered one... i love Fatal Frame. Though I'm either going to have to wait for a homebrew or see if there's a modchip for wii u i can solder on.

 
Not exactly a deal for a CE but I just recieved my Assassin's Creed Syndicate Steelbook Edition from Amazon.co.uk today and it may be the best PS4 steelbook released. You can't tell from the picture but the material is slightly raised. Again, I think I paid 80 bucks shipped so considering this will be 30 on BF likely it's only for nerdy SB collectors like myself.

The packaging for pipboy looks pretty nice lol. I like the box it comes in. One thing I just realized that kind of sucks, the "screen" of the Pipboy will only be as large as your phones screen. Not sure why I just thought of it. I'm not sure there's any phone that would make it not look even cheaper.

Yes it counts as 2 purchases of the same game with GCU, but you're allowed 3 per platform. Also can someone enlighten me on why it's such a big deal of not having the regular case? Wouldn't you rather have a collectors steel case?

I think the outer plastic shell was stuck to the plastic box, it didn't look like he had a choice.

I don't think the difference in editions matter, from what I understand. The current rules for GCU is 3 per title per platform per year. Regardless of different editions or not.

so it looks like im not the only one and that others got the email too.  i called target and they have no clue on the email just asked if i got my sorry 30$ giftcard.   so no clue if this is truelly happening or not but heres to keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

 
What really struck me as odd about the Pipboy unboxing video is that the "collectable metal case" actually does indeed appear to be a steelbook.  I can't tell for sure.  But when he opened it up I see a plastic, uniform spine on the inside. It bugs me because he never gives a clear camera shot of the outer spine.

If they are like me I have a shelf for all my statues and steelbooks so if the game comes in a reg case I can display the steelbook with all of my other stuff and play the game out of the reg case, which goes next to my system with all my other games.

 
Thanks for the second unboxing. Glad he spent a little more time with the Pipboy itself. From the first video it didn't seem like it opened, so I'm glad to see that is in fact how you put it on.

The creator posted a comment that the code on the back of the season pass slip was for the digital copy of Fallout 3, and that it does not come with the season pass.

That'd probably be still 1 more use than 1/2 of the other things that we get in these CEs. Most of mine get a cursory glance and a pondering "hmm" and then a "back into the closet with ye!" (I'm a pirate in case you couldn't tell)

 
Anyone else with thoughts/concerns on the Pipboy edition. I'm kind of new to buying CE games, I've bought a few in the past like Uncharted 3. I purchased MGS5 CE, Pipboy, and Juggernog all this year.

I do really enjoy Steelbooks and would like to start collecting those more then other CE items. Do you guys typically only get Steelbooks for games you own? Or movies and games? Or just the Steelbook(without game)?
