I believe the instructions also says dont use for more than 12 hours, so its not a mini fridge but a chiller as you said

Yes Media Mail can be tracked and insured. I send a lot of books and movies that I sell on eBay (I'm in the process of liqudating my physical book/movie libraries and sticking to collecting video games only) via Media Mail and all of them have been fully tracked.

Also, I have never had a DVD or BluRay returned or delivered as Postage Due, so that leads me to believe that they do fully qualify for Media Mail. I have had video games returned as non-qualified material.

I sold my entire comic book collection on Ebay back in 2004. Asked the post office down the street if a comic book box qualified as media mail, and they said yes. 38 boxes shipped from Portland to Boston via media mail, no problemo.

It was pretty hilarious how low my car was to the ground when I was making those post office runs with it jammed full of heavy ass boxes. Good thing it was only 6 blocks. I wish I'd taken a few pictures.

Usually that just means you live closer to the distribution warehouse and they didn't have to send yours as early. I tend to get my BB shipping notices on a Sunday or Monday, for games that come out Tuesday.

Quick note on Media Mail, They do tend to open up boxes that don't match up to their specifications.

So basically a big box that's shipped Media Mail has to have a certain weight due to books being rather heavy.

These collector boxes aren't heavy at all compared to a box of the same size full of books so you could run into the issue

of getting it "inspected" which means the receiver is tagged with an extra delivery fee they must pay to claim it from the post office.

I remember a bunch of posts that you could change your region coding but that must have been with DVDs.  I did a bunch of googling and couldn't find any info for changing a PS4 from region B to region A for blu rays.

Is, say a EU import console only relegated to play region B blurays and cannot be switched?  I am aware everything is region free for games. Also aware that you can change DVD regions 4-5 times before it locks.

I would assume no. The Bluray Association instant bans any manufacturer from creating region free players. Since Sony more or less created BD, i doubt they'd brake their own rules.

no it doesn't. It was talked about in length when the metal gear solid ps4s were being imported about a month ago not to expect to use it as a blu ray player which is why some decided not to bite.

Pretty happy with what I got. The price for older issues tanked shortly after so I got lucky there. And, the studio apartment I was living in at the time nearly doubled in size once they were gone. It was an end to a 20 year collecting hobby that started when I was in first grade, so the sentimental price was high. But, glad to have known when to say when.

Mine is shipping soon, I live in Indiana so i'm used to my stuff shipping on Monday and arriving Tuesday.

Was hoping this came early though....

I live in East Ky and mine shipped out 2nd day air this evening. Amazon says arriving tuesday on the full website, but wednesday on the mobile link from the email I got, so I'm pretty confused.

I received an email saying mine won't be here until the 12th also although I received an email from Amazon about a month ago saying my order qualified for release date delivery. I will be calling them later today to see if they'll give me a free month of prime or something for the delay.

I contacted Amazon and complained considering I paid for release day. They gave me some bullshit about my address not qualifying for release day shipping, even though I got MGS collectors and others on the release day. I let them know how frustrated I was, and they bumped me to one day shipping at no additional charge, to get it on game day.

We will see if I get it Tuesday now... They said it should help, but depends on the delivery, which is bs since I have never had this problem, and I buy from Amazon all the time.
