My Pip Boy arrived safe from BBY.

Hard plastic case with no corners, less chance of damage lol.

I do like how it's not sealed in any way so I don't have to feel guilty opening it.  There's  a piece of tape holding the slip cover in place and that's it.  Even though the hinge nubs on the case alone act as a detent for for the slip cover so the tape is kinda useless. No seals to be broken and disk is in an unsealed steel book.

My steelbook is just as bad if not worse than yours. I have no idea how they got damaged. Anyone know a contact email for Bethesda?

 
I wonder how many of these bottles that are getting shipped will break or leak in transit due to poor shipping. The real fallout starts with the post office!

 
One of my pipboy boxes from BB came in a destroyed box. It looks like the crate was opened. Of course it is the pc version, that I wanted to keep sealed.

 
1 of my Pipboys made it today from BB. Everything seems fine, but the box had no padding lol!

Still waiting for the other from Amazon which hasn't even shipped it... :wall:

Then there's the one in Limbo from Target that's supposed to be free... but no word yet :pray:

My Pipboy box had some smudges and marks on it, but luckily the steelbook is good.

I don't really regret buying it.....not the worst thing I have spent this much money on.

so my friend msgd me this morning and told me some guy bought 11 of the 12 quantum drinks for in-store pick up before the store opened and there were like 15 people lined up.  when they opened the employees brought out 1 bottle and everyone flipped out (which is understandable) and apparently people got a $20 gift card for the inconvenience.  

is it true these are only limited to launch? or will they make more?

I doubt they will make more because the item is no longer on Target.com. But that's just my guess, I have no insider knowledge.
 
The don't need to "make" more, the only difference is the label and maybe a bottle cap, although I haven't seen the bottle cap.

The soda isn't unique, it's a flavor the company they partnered with already uses. It's not like making pip-boys, which costed them.

If all it comes down to is making new labels and/or bottle caps, I don't see why more wouldn't be made. Especially if it sells.

People aren't buying it to drink.

It's all about the label and exclusivity. Yes you can make a fake label but there are ways to tell a fake (mainly the indents on the bottle).

I'm sure plenty of them are, but that can't be proven either way. Regardless, it doesn't matter. If it sells a lot, that's all they care about. If these things fly off the shelves and all they new to do is print more measly labels? They will make more. Unless there is something in a contract that doesn't allow them to legally.

I don't see why you wouldn't want to drink it. The bottle (label, cap, etc) is the star, not the soda. You can still keep the bottle and cap after it's empty. Besides the soda has a limited life span anyway - it's not going to last forever.

Anyway, it would be an easy process to make more, if they wanted to.

Clarification: People buying it over MSRP aren't buying it to drink. Like others have said, it's only Jones soda which you can buy online.

And we're seen plenty of times that reprints don't sell nearly as well. Amiibos, LE 3DS's, toys, etc. First prints are always king and those buying it for double its MSRP want it b/c of its original exclusivity (and continued since reprints are always slightly different).

I know, it's still the same product and I'm not buying these things.

 
I put in a store pickup order for 6 bottles last night and to my surprise they were waiting for me in the afternoon. I have no plans on selling any of them.

My Pip Boy arrived from BB in a shipping box that was destroyed. Steelbook and everything inside is fine though.

You're a good man for not. But as someone who doesn't have a Target within 100 miles of me I'd gladly buy one at a reasonable price off of you.

 
I just received and processed my :xb1: PipBoy from Best Buy and I got excited for a second. There was a slip in the case that was advertising the Season Pass and it made me think they snuck one in there just for me.

Well, I emailed Beth Soft and explained in detail that the case was damaged upon arrival, but my shipping box and my pipboy box were in mint shape. They of course responded with this BS:

I contacted amazon, they offered a 10% refund which I reluctantly took because it's not their fault. I guess I'm just gonna hope I can glue this thing together.

I'm sorry, but if I pay $120 for an item I expect all of the pieces to arrive without issue.

What a joke. I can understand not being able to replace a pip boy but they should be able to replace a steel book.

Bethesda has the worst customer service. I've had issues with their store before and I got the same response, "screw you, we're not doing shit about it."

My steelkbook was damaged too but It wasn't to badly damaged that I couldn't fix it myself. The cases were hanging off from the center spine and only required me to put pressure on it to pop back in place.
