Id sell mine on ebay. I dont need a gaudy looking ps4 (plus it wouldnt match my black consoles). Id sell it, buy a regular one, and put the rest towards a desperately needed new tv.

Yeah, but even though they're more scarce (rare) than the 20th anniversary ones they still seem to be selling for about 1/2 the price -- definitely weird. (though I'm not interested in a gold one personally but would LOVE a 20th anniversary one!!)

I was looking last night and it seemed like there were an awful lot of sold auctions on the 20th Anniversary Editions in the $700-850 range, while the (ugly as sin) Taco Bell ones were all over the map from $650-$1,100.

 
I wonder whatever happened to the guy that had a ton of those anniversary ps4's and was looking to sell them at cost? Didn't he have like 30 consoles somehow?

He wasn't selling them at msrp. He was trying to sell them at his cost which was like $1500 per console or something like that.this guy bought a bunch at scalper prices thinking they will be worth a ton, then he panicked when prices started to drop instead. That guy should win the resellers Darwin award.
 
I don't think I could ever bring myself to sell my 20th anniversary ps4. The thing is just too gorgeous to sell. Unfortunately it also keeps me from buying any of the other limited consoles they have made.

I hear that. I want one of those 25th anniversary editions badly. But I also don't think I could part with my Destiny or MGS:TPP LE PS4s either.

We both want what we don't have. One can't have it all, unfortunately.

I wasn't even really interested in a ps4 until I saw that one - that retro side of me wins every time.  really wish it wasn't as limited (though I guess if I owned one I'd wish otherwise).  My plan B was the DQ Slime Edition one -- but I'm just not ready to break my "don't buy any limited edition game-specific console (unless its Zelda)" rule yet.

I was originally going to sell mine after seeing the prices they were going for. Then it arrived and I couldn't bring myself to do it . I ended up opening it and keeping it in all it's glory. I'm just sad that it's behind my TV so I can't see it in all of its glory. When I graduate and move out of my shared apartment it will be put in a proper place.

Mine is under my mounted TV but slightly covered by my Forza xbox so you can't see the metal decal on the lower right corner. When me and the wife get a bigger place hopefully next summer I will be able to have a bigger entertainment stand and can display it properly.

If I had the money laying around I would instantly snap up the DQ edition PS4 AND PS Vita. Part of my being was sucked into the pictures of those that I saw...

Apparently he's also buying up all the pip boys, and is going to return them to retailers in hopes that 6 months from now they'll be $50
