They are still a thing, but anymore they actually get field destroyed or the employees just take them. I had a friend who still worked for Gamestop until recently and he'd always hook me up with penny guides instead of trashing them. When I worked for Gamestop I'd keep them as well and just pay for them all to get them out of the system and I'd let my employees take any guides I didn't want. Anything they didn't want we'd give away with pre-orders or sometimes along with the corresponding game if a customer was purchasing it.

 
So does anyone here know when GS system will hopefully update Friday with 500m? Is it usually a midnight or 10 am EST kinda thing with them?

Yeah, I know they are still around. But I have never successfully gotten a penny guide from Gamestop around me. They would refuse to sell them to me, or adjust the price to full price. Now, they don't even have the guides on the floor. I even tried to Pre-Order in order to get them, but no dice. Im jealous of anyone who is able to get them.

This has been happening for a while now. It usually takes 3-4 hours to receive confirmation and the same amount of time to show up in the order history. I even had one Gamestop.com preorder last month that took a full day to appear.

I actually went to a local GameStop a month or so back and they had a stack of guides they were giving away for free. Never saw anything like it at any other store. I forget what was included, but one of them was the FO4 CE guide.

As much as I like to collect the steelbook, this is an easy pass for me, already owned all 3 this gen.

Since everyone here is a collector, I'm curious to everyone's floater ratio for PS4 games. Mine seems to be at about 3/4 these days. I get them way more often than not. Got two PS4 games in the mail today, both floaters. I'm on a pretty big run, I think the last 10 PS4 games I've received in the mail were all floaters.

I would say roughly 2/3 of mine from Amazon in the new tight bubble mailers are floaters and maybe 50% on the padded brown pouches. Best Buy I am about 50/50 for their bubble pouches.

 
Supposedly the Dark Souls trilogy is a limited production run, not sure I really buy it and it's probably just some marketing bs to push preorders

Can't even pre-order it at Amazon or Best Buy. I imagine they will do these for the Holidays and stop production since they seem to have no issues selling these games separately.

 
wonder if the Division Hat pre-order bonus at gamestop can be bought separately, so I can use GCU for the steelbook gold at BestBuy.

I’m curious as to what the year 1 pass entails since they said all dlc would be free at e3

edit: other than some dlc extras the gold edition gives 7 days early access to all the dlcs. who knew 7 day early access was worth as much as a season pass itself

It's so funny how desirable that CE is when nobody knows what the biggest part of it even looks like. There has never been a case before where a video game CE had a "surprise" statue. They really better hope it is something incredible. "Don't look at it! It's a SPOILER! Make sure you don't inspect for damage - it might ruin the game. Try to not finish the game until you're outside of the return window, too!"
