I’m not convinced that the “Reserving Item” status indicates a problem. My 500M controller order has it and they are still showing as in stock and orderable on the site.
 
What's sad is the Add to cart is still showing on Best Buy on Desktop!

Finally says Sold Out!

Anyone who is claiming to have got an order from Best Buy, was everyone's order from the app, or mobile website as well? I can't seem to find a single person on any site saying the regular website ever had stock.

Yes I ordered on my desktop through chrome browser. It gave the red error message both before and after I was able to get an order in. But it did work for a brief window.

I was checking the mobile and desktop websites and they never showed as in stock for me. The yellow "add to cart" button never showed up until you couldn't add it to the cart anyway.

I didn't even know there was a BB app until tonight. Tough night to learn that lesson.

So strange. As soon as someone posted it here, I was on all of my devices. Mobile browser, mobile app, and desktop browser. Mobile app said can't search right now, mobile and desktop browsers said coming soon. When the app worked, it said sold out. When coming soon went away, the add to cart button showed yet error'd out and never added anything.

I got one via browser. No issues at all, but I just happened to be online right as they went live.

The smart people will sell this during the Christmas season where buyers aren't as likely to return gifts and willing to spend more.

By the time it was posted it was probably too late. I'm guessing there was a ~30 sec window to actually order via browser.

 
I was only able to get it on mobile. had chrome open for like past hour refreshing every minute and for me it never changed from coming soon.

 
So everyone who ordered from best buy, did you guys get the reserving item as well? I saw several posts of it, but did everyone get it likely due to limited quantities.

From 12:55am to 1:06am I kept refreshing the product page on my iMac every 10 seconds. It never changed from coming soon until about 1:15am. Perhaps Best Buy has something against safari or apple.

Sounds like it. But now that they have my money I am back to the green "preparing" status. cannot make changes to order.

Could've been caching as well, especially with that refresh frequency. Always do Ctrl+F5 in situations like that.

I think you're right. It showed Coming Soon. Then someone posted a link when it was live, and I clicked through that link and it still showed Coming Soon.

That's when I opened an Incognito window and only then I was able to add to cart. So caching issue, or cookies or whatever

 
late to the party. wonder why the 20th anniversarry ps4s dont resell for much more and they are nicer than this. What sites havent dropped yet. maybe its time to get a pro

 
Now the icing on the cake for those of us that got one is receiving one of those serial numbers that corresponds to a Playstation special day/occasion like they were talking about.

Great assessment and the reason I'm cancelling my backup order (that and I'm 37 with 3 kids and enough problems). That said, I'm happy to call GS tomorrow and get my 22 dollar handling fee refunded. I'm a PRO member but afaik my Pro account was active in my order. Anyone ever get GS to refund shipping cost and has this happened to anyone here?
