So my brother ended up getting me one as a wedding gift and I didn't know. I wanted it for my birthday so now I have two delivering on Tuesday. I don't wanna deal with ebaying this. What should I do, sell it at cost to someone here?

Ok guys, let me ask my brother if he wants it back. If he's cool with letting it go at cost instead of returning it, I'll update everyone. I did jokingly tell him he should sell it, so hopefully he didn't already do that. Looking to help someone out. I'm in the DMV area and it would be so much easier to have a local exchange.

Yes, it was painful though. Ultimately had not added that I would call back when item shipped and they would manually refund shipping. I basically said I wasn't taking no for an answer despite 3-4 attempts to force me to take the cost.

Was shipping supposed to be free and it just messed up? Do you or anyone else know the answer?

 
I seriously hope BBY fulfillment center in Shepherdsville KY used a box to ship my 500M. I have jury duty on the same day it is scheduled to deliver. Reroute it to local UPS store for pickup would push back 1 day before I can get my hand on my unit.

Why wouldn't they? They wouldn't stuff a console into an oversized envelope or something. Especially something that valuable. I wouldn't worry.

I vaguely recalled a discussion about this several weeks ago, where BBY (or was it Amazon?) slapped on shipping sticker on the packaging and just shipped it.

Anyhow, I probably gonna play it safe, and have local UPS store hold it for me to pickup.

I really surprised Sekiro CE is still available. I expected a CE like that, which also is only $5 to secure a deposit, would be gone quick.

Eh I don’t think it’s the greatest CE (although I did preorder it) and with it having a release date of March 2019 I doubt anyone is in a rush IMO.
 
It's interesting watching the 3rd party listings for the 500M console on Amazon.  I get wanting to flip it I guess but why would you undercut each other by $20-30 a listing?  Price was $1200 last night and down to $985 this morning because of that. Silly scalpers.

The price drops b/c it isn't selling, not just b/c people undercut each other. Pricing will drop or raise based on if it's actually selling (remember the value of an item is set by what people are willing to pay for it). If it's not selling at $1,200, it drops. It isn't silly, it's just basic capitalism.

Amazon should never allow listings like that. They sell out immediately and only through a special link not the actual product page. Then hours later they are on third party sellers lists for triple the retail price. Amazon should just cancel all orders and sell it the right away.

Looks like most bought to flip, since the market is oversaturated with them, the price plummets as people try to get rid of them quickly. Looking at some of the pics while it's on, I'm probably going to get rid of my 2 month old white model now, which is perfect by the way. This 500M just looks premium. Back on price, as most of the under cutters get rid of there stock, I expect the price on this to rise.

There are people that are willing to pay more than others; and, when the quantity is limited, the best strategy is to sell at high prices first, then lower the price to find out the next highest willingness to pay.

Oh I understand the basics, I just think its funny how fast the price is plummeting . I wonder how many of these things were bought by people actually wanting the system as opposed to resellers. If mine ever ships (still says processing at GS), there's no way I'd let it go. Just looks too nice imo.

I think there's less gloating and more resentment towards those that would do such a thing with such a highly sought after system. Hopefully no one would legit brag about the 10 systems their bot snagged on here, but you never know I guess!
 
I managed to order one on GS but in bundle (the $$$ one) I'm not really satisfied with the process but at least I have my 500M!! not happy with GS charging me S&H and using a slow delivery method (going to arrive on the 30th).

Now I need a 4K TV...

I am thinking that they might NOT be in such abundance based on the fact that (as of this posting) Amazon, Best Buy and Target are all OOS.

My advice is, if you can get one for a reasonable price... do it.

 
Ok so I just confirmed with my brother and looks like he purchased the Gamestop Ultimate bundle. He says he'll sell it for the 800 he paid and keep the extras. If anyone is interested, feel free to PM me. Apologies if I got anyone's hopes up- I thought he just purchased the solo system.
