I originally got the same email as you on launch day, but then I got another email on Saturday morning saying they have the game ready to pick up now. So maybe give it a little more time? I know Tyrok posted that his BB was expecting to receive 20 copies of it so if that is what other BBs are expecting to receive there should be plenty to go around.

 
Question about how Best Buy tallies money you spent in a year. Is it money just spent on your account? Because my dad just asked me to order something expensive for him on my account using his card and billing info since he's out of the country and doesn't have an account. Wondering if I'll get points and help me reach Elite status again.

Lol. I was so hype thinking i snatched one. Well i got mines along time ago through Target bc BB sold out. Never thought they would come back in stock. Im trying to snatch it with my GCU.. ill keep trying. Good luck to you

IIRC if he uses your phone number then the points go to you regardless of payment method

I'm not sure that's accurate. I recall a couple of times going into Best Buy with my mom and using my RZ card with her credit card and the points never showed up. I think they have some kind of system in place to prevent people from lending out their accounts and banking the points from purchases they don't personally make.

The only thing I know is when my sister one year bought me a gift card for my birthday, she used my phone number and address in store and I got points for it. Not sure what specifically caused it to happen though.

 
Looking at pics at Best Buy and Gamestop of the Spider-man collector's edition, noticed how much bigger the box is in the updated photos. The original box with the spider-man white spider logo was much smaller, The new box looks to be at least twice the size. Hopefully this means the statue is big and high quality.

So have they revealed what it looks like yet or is just gonna be a mystery until you get it and open it? I tried to find images of what it looks like but can't find anything at all.

Not great, but probably not impossible. With the popularity of the CE and the number of alert systems/bots out there, I imagine anything that comes back in stock will be swiped pretty quickly.

You mean even if i were to go to the store in the AM, someone at home could add to cart for store pick up before I ever set foot in the store?

 
There is also matter of tomb raider, i ordered the croft edition and debating should i downgrade to regular as i will get the steelbook anyway.

In theory, yes. I've heard horror stories to the contrary as well, though (someone reserves an item for in-store pickup and BB sells it to someone in the store). Your mileage will probably vary based on store - some employees care more than others. Unless you've got a confirmed order or a friend on the inside, it's a tossup at this point.

Shit... I dont have a friend on the inside though... i mean. We got turok I guess.... @Turok to the rescue? seriously though, I'm going to be at the store when it opens and fingers crossed have a chance at grabbing it. The only thing I still dont know is if I am supposed to go to the gaming aisle and it should be there, or go to the customer service desk and try and buy it there....

I preordered it... and after seeing the statue, I am having a hard time justifying it. I like the design of the statue but it just kinda looks shitty.

I’m keeping mine mainly because the one IGN got could have been an outlier. I’ve had people I know who had bad paint jobs on their CE statues but mine was fine. Plus if I do decide I want it later and not all CE looked like that it would be double the price
 
I wanted to sell some CE guides I have to save space for new guides and CEs. I’ve been clearing out space with collectibles I don’t feel I really need. Does anyone know if game hardback guides count for media mail?
 
So I was looking at the wrong numbers for Spider-Man. I thought there was 11 preorders for 12 CEs but it was actually 11 preorders for 20 of the consoles. There is only 5 for the CE which might mean there will be extras for each at 1am on Friday or when the stores open. :D

 
I found a picture of the Spider-Man statue, he's perched on a pile of gear from the villains. I don't immediately see what the spoiler is, I'm assuming one of them hasn't been announced (but was leaked/speculated)

In your experience, when do these get put out on the shopping floor? after closing or the morning of? I guess I am asking if I go to the store in the morning, if I should go to the isle or to the customer service desk.... Or maybe i should try online? But I dont know when it would pop up for ordering.

 
Ive been trying all day... I dont know how I missed it, I'm pretty sure ive clicked at least once per 10 minutes all day today. It was on the website though, instead of the app, if that matters...

Statue looks pretty nice but that's a pretty small statue. Barely bigger than the steelbook. I can't tell what all is there, have no clue what's going on with the comic book world since MCU and all that... I can see Rhino's head and what I think is Scorpion's tail.

I tried a couple, but neither sent me texts, only emails (and so far, not a single email from either of them... despite people here geting them it seems).

 
Apparently i got alll the way to adding my credit card this time... and after i clicked through all my CCard info, it just went to processing than kicked me out and removed the item from the cart :( bummer.

It's really going to vary by store. Store pickup is usually turned back on at 1am est the morning of release and those pop up to get stickered an hour before open.
