FAQ's:

  • Amazon & Gamestop do not have a pre-authorization charge.
  • Bethesda Store and any of the Treehouse Brand Stores do not have a pre-authorization charge either.
  • Best Buy, NISA Store, Square-Enix Store all have a pre-authorization that goes away after 3-4 days or so, 7-10 days max.
  • All pre-orders with Paypal, you pay the full amount when the order is placed NOT when it is shipped.  This goes for every retailer that takes Paypal as a form of payment
  • Be cautious when going for free shipping from any Exclusive Store since they all use Digital River.  Say you order 2 CE's from S/E Store and they have different release dates, DR will wait till the last item comes out to ship yours.  Meaning (since Digital River sucks donkey balls), they could end up selling your pre-order on the first item to release and you could be SOL.  Also be careful ordering something to get your free shipping threshold as well because if the item goes OOS, then you have to wait for it to come back in stock.  This happened to many CAGs ordering the Lightning Returns CE from the S/E store because they ordered key chains that went OOS.
  • ^TL;DR Version:  If something goes out of stock or is not out yet, it will delay your order.

Am I the only jackass that had no intentions on getting a wrestling game only to want it now, only because its sold out.  And yes I only buy my multi platform stuff on Xbox, another jackass move I know.

Ugh. So many people boned out of their orders because of that. What a huge mess that was (blame still mostly lies with Digital River anyhow and I think I read something that Namco dropped them as a distributor too)... anyways.

I kinda wish it was someone other than Hogan they wanted involved for the CE, but anything's better than looking at Cena on the cover. Sadly I won't be getting the CE again this year. If they offered a full season pass with it, maybe next year's. 2K16 will probably have Lesnar on the cover for the CE. "Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat." mode (or Beast mode, whichever name works on a corporate marketing level).

Has anyone managed to successfully pick-up an in-store order of the ToX2 CE at BB yet? Between the de-listing from the website and the too-low shipping weight for those of us who got it shipped, I still have some doubts as to whether BB actually got the CE in the end.

OK, I just got back from picking up Diablo at BB, and there was some dude there picking up his ToX2 CE. So I can say for sure that BB got at least some of the CE in. There's no way that it weighed only 0.6 lbs though. The box is bigger than both the ToS and the first ToX CEs, my guess is that it weighs in the 1.5-2 lbs range.

According to my friend's tracking from Gamestop, it weighs about 4.5 pounds. Hopefully this is just a glitch with UPS/BB and we will all get the correct item.

 
My tracking info for my ToX2 CE BB order said it weighed 0.60 lbs so it must just be an error, just to throw it out there

 
Well for comparison, the tracking info for my non-CE ToX2 purchased from Best Buy is 0.2550 lbs. It's also going to arrive a few days later than release date.

 
i just picked up tales of xillia 2 collectors edition from best buy. i did a instore pickup order using the gaming kiosk.

the box is really big .

I picked up mine as well this morning. I had planned on canceling the pre-order, but when I saw I had $75 worth in RZ certs in my account, i figured why not.

Well looks like I'm going to have an extra copy of the Xillia 2 collectors edition then. I'm honestly amazed Best Buy came thru on this one when I had 3 separate issues I had to call on with this preorder. If anyone still needs one I'll be posting it on the trade forum, otherwise I'll just be returning it in a week or so.

Yeah I'm pretty blown about this. I'll probably be getting the cloth and cards on eBay though. Someone is bound to sell some stuff separately.

Thanks for the heads up, I've been waiting for BBY to stock the Collector's Edition.

I'm considering just grabbing the standard version of WoD for $40 with GCU but I locked in a preorder for this at BBY just in case.

I'm not quite as into WoW as I was 10 years ago (that's probably healthy) so it's not as easy to justify dropping $40 more on the pet and mount as it used to be, but I own CEs of vanilla and most of the other expansions so maybe nostalgia will win out.

Hey CAG, does BB immediately charge for pre-orders?? I just got a notification from my bank account saying BB is withdrawing funds for Witcher 3 CE. Thought they charged for the game after its released?? Witcher 3 doesn't come out till 2015, no??

For Paypal , yes.

For CC directly , they just do an authorization and charge you the full amount later.

I have to unfortunately agree with you there. I've been recording all the contests/LEs/Steelbooks/CN prizes/etc. that NOE and NOJ has been offering vs. NOA and we always get the shaft, its quite ridiculous actually. I can only fathom that perhaps it has something to do with country/region size and shipping logistics? But its just absurd, really.

Its a shame that they have 2 different statues though - kinda hate it when companies do this.  I'll probably pick up the Batmobile edition with GCU at BB (if they'll carry it) and then pick up the LE months down the road when its cheap for the statue.

 
Anyone seen any posts on BB forums yet about when this will be up for pre-order from Best Buy? They've been dead in the water the last few CE announcements.
