I was considering doing it with the TPHD soundtrack (given that literally every copy in the EU comes with it). Now I know for future dick moves from NoA.

I used to call them to see if the free preorder item was in yet, put $5 down to get it and then never pick up the game. This was after the website screwed me out of many bonuses. They just did it again by canceling my order for Twilight Princess HD + Soundtrack for no apparent reason (I paid in full with trade credit so there was no card to decline). Still waiting on a response to that one.

 
I'm surprised people wanted The Division Collectors Edition. No steelbook, cheap looking watch, and an armband. The art book might be nice but the only thing I see worth it in this CE is the season pass and the actual game.

Ditto. Even though I enjoy the game, and I've bought plenty of CE's for games I won't play, the contents of this CE just didn't do it for me.

Watch is actually a lot better quality than I first envisioned.

There is a Steelbook, just not in NA. It is a shame because the thing itself is pretty sweet. Don't know why they didn't include one here.

I stayed up till like 10am playing Division. I found it amazing, and I havent even tried matchmaking yet.

I ended up buying the game and the pass, since Gamestop sold out of the Gold Edition and I had credit there

I'm curious too, hows everybody feel about Watchdogs: Destiny Edition.. I mean The Division? Is there like 6-8 different types of each piece of gear & the added illusion of depth by re-coloring them 25 times? Or, is there actually a large amount of variety which would be a first for an Ubisoft game.

There's multiple steelbooks yet none make it North America let alone the US. It's extremely weird considering it would have been a great bonus for Best Buy or GS.

If there is one gripe I have about The Division, its that the character creator is still pure dick.

All the female characters look like butch lesbians, and all the dudes look like generic shooter protagonists mostly

Yep, the negative side of aiming for realism, I guess. You gotta have the utilitarian haircut on the women, which looks terrible.

I blame this on the console hardware. Defiance had a somewhat similar problem. Whenever you got more than a few people in the same area, the game had to revert all of the characters to a stock model to cope with it, as the hardware couldn't deal with all of the different visual trappings. In a similar vein, going so generic with the characters probably let them do more with the rest of the game. While there's some truth to the idea that the character's appearance isn't a big deal in an MMO, I think it's also taking away what makes your experience most unique in an RPG.

 
Just did a Hard Mode mission with 2 randoms. Have to say I'm pretty addicted now.

2 of us were pretty overleveled and we still had to play corner hugging/heal spamming. One guy ended up rage quitting so me and the other dude ended up having to keep swapping aggro between enemies while we picked them off.

Not sure, never really got far into Destiny.

Other than the boss/elite enemies, nobody has felt super bullet sponge-ey yet (Like in Borderlands where you can literally unload a full clip into a guys head and barely damage them despite getting constant criticals)

I found it pretty fun though, we had to take out a boss with a Mini-Gun, and just catching a couple shots of it out of cover meant losing most of your health, so one of us stayed in cover with the aggro while the other snuck around. The boss even kept trying to avoid us sandwiching it by moving further to the sides

 
What took you so long to get your HWL CE? Did you wait to ship it with something else? Got mine over a month ago IIRC.  Still wish they had gone with the "premium" edition artwork on the "treasure box" edition (and for the original HW as well).  Hate that its just black and white while the "lesser" version is a gorgeous vibrant color!

When I was importing amiibos you needed to make a separate Amazon.jp account. I just used the same email and password.

Bahaha that is the biggest crock of horse shit in the world. A lot of MMO's are popular based on their depth of character creation. People spend hours crafting their perfect character... but since console players have the attention span of a gnat it probably doesn't matter as much for them. Most MMO players spend hours and days/months/years playing a character, so making it as them as possible matters.

I bet half of Divisions players jump ship once a new FPS comes out...

Nice, an elitist PC troll who has nothing to offer to the discussion. I played WoW for years. My character had no backstory in the game. I cared nothing for him. Visually, it was so-so. There were more options than The Divisionhas by far, but I didn't care. Plus, as someone who's actually been playing The Division, its visual customization is definitely coming in the form of clothing. It's not the facial depth of Falloutor anything, but I can't say I care when never seeing my face from third-person with a hat or something on the hair.

There are plenty who play the same game in different ways. If you think everyone plays an MMO to make a pretty character, you're even more ignorant than you think console players to be.

I think the theme is actually in the game case. That website seems to be something else. Shame I can't claim it on my 3DS. I think I'll try selling the game sealed via eBay.

I went to pick up my Best Buy The Division Gold Ed. preorder yesterday evening.  A middle-aged gentleman and his son were at the pickup counter, for what appears to have been a while, and a Best Buy employee was working with them.  She had a look on her face like she's been dealing with unhappy customers quite a lot today.  I didnt hear everything they said, but it sounds like the son brought the gold edition card to preorder a while back, and the Best Buy employee at the checkout somehow rang up the standard edition.  I look down at my receipt and card, lo and behold, the exact same thing happened to me.  I didnt even notice when I bought it a while back.

The store only had gold edition copies for preorders.  The couple in front of me bought the standard edition instead.  I ordered the gold edition online while I was in line.  The employee told me I can only get the $10 reward zone cert. for preordering if I come back to the store with my gold edition when I get it in the mail.  I tried arguing with her to no avail.  I dont want to spend more time and gas than I already spent waiting in line for 15 minutes while they sort out problems.  I also didnt get the game on launch and couldnt play last night.

I'm going to try complaining to Best Buy today.  Do you guys think email, instant message, or calling works best?

 
So I go into Best Buy last night to pick up my copy of The Division: Gold Edition, and they apparently didn't get enough copies to fulfill orders or some shit.  They had to look around the store for like 15 minutes and couldn't find it.  Ironically, the manager of the store was the one that was helping me and she gave me my GC discount on a regular copy plus another $18 bucks as an apology for not having my merchandise that I ordered.  On top of that, Best Buy gave me my $15 bucks in Rewards Certs for the whole fiasco (I wasn't able to switch my pre-order over to the regular copy).

So in the end, I got a regular copy for like $14 bucks and change.

Not bad lol

Might just give it to a buddy as a gift, or slang it to someone at my work for $40 bucks when my PS4 CE comes on Friday.

I look down at my receipt and card, lo and behold, the exact same thing happened to me. I didnt even notice when I bought it a while back.
The store only had gold edition copies for preorders. The couple in front of me bought the standard edition instead. I ordered the gold edition online while I was in line. The employee told me I can only get the $10 reward zone cert. for preordering if I come back to the store with my gold edition when I get it in the mail. I tried arguing with her to no avail. I dont want to spend more time and gas than I already spent waiting in line for 15 minutes while they sort out problems. I also didnt get the game on launch and couldnt play last night.

I'm going to try complaining to Best Buy today. Do you guys think email, instant message, or calling works best?

I've used the chat the past couple times, but sometimes they tell you that you need to call.

As long as you had a copy of the game preordered and purchased a copy during launch week, you'll automatically get the Cert. There's been times I switched consoles I wanted to play on. I preordered the game for ps4, but at launch just went in and bought the xb1 version.

I wish I went to your Best Buy! I've had three problems with a couple different Minnesota Best Buys in the last six months. I'm not the type or person to always want something free, but I've never received any compensation whatsoever for my time, gas, having to leave empty handed and secure a copy elsewhere, etc.

I didn't ask for the additional cash off. All I wanted was my $15 bucks in Rewards Certs. She offered to give me 50% total off the game, and Best Buy fulfilled the certificates since I basically got screwed out of them.

I am not complaining whatsoever haha.

Call customer service. Your situation is a bit different than mine, but every time I have called with an issue they have taken care of it.

They cancelled the original pre-order and rang me up a regular copy. For some reason, it would not let them switch the pre-order from the Gold Edition to the regular edition.

Hence why Best Buy credited me 750 points to my account. IF I get another $15 in certs, that is fine by me, but I won't hold my breath for it.
