Just looked at my emails and BB sent me one informing me that my FE Special Edition is "taking longer to fulfill than we anticipated" but expect it to be delivered by March 13th. Yes, March 13th yet these MF just sold 1,999 on eBay yesterday. WTF Best Buy.

( I mean, I'm pretty anally agitated about it, because they flipped my copy, too. But holy shit, lol ) 

 
Major shit storm incoming to Best Buy.  After the XCX SE bubble mailers, and Amazon now offering 20% discounts, I don't see how anybody will care about GCU after this.

The only advantage it has is that it stacks on sales and can be used any time, not just for two weeks after release.

But most games that aren't COD or Madden junk don't seem to be stocked by BB for more than a week or two anyway.

Trying to backfill a couple smaller less popular less known PS4 and Wii U games that didn't even come out a month ago and they already don't even have them anymore.

Nah. Because of that promotional glitch or whatever the hell that was a year or two back, most people are locked into GCU for several more years. People will use it for all its worth, and when it comes down to it, no one is going to let an incident, or two, or even three make them stop ordering from Best Buy completely. It's just not going to happen.

Will never ever ever happen. People said the same stuff with the Amiibos. "Screw Nintendo, I'm never ordering these things again!" and next batch went up, people were all over em.

I will maintain having 3+ orders spread out so yeah...

Just Amazon will be my primary now with BB as the backup bitch. Between BB charging when you order, being the last to put their CEs up, and shipping them in bubble mailers, they can take the back seat now.

eBay fees are going to eat into Best Buy's profits if they were intending on skipping that GCU discount by placing 2,000 of them on there. eBay fees on video games are high as shit

Nah, I'm sure they have special deals with ebay being such a high volume seller. They probably pay no more than 3 or 4 percent in ebay fees.

I don't think anyone's order shipped, which leads me to believe we will eventually get our games but some how BBY massively screwed up. Either that or the order fulfillment centers never received their stock.

There are a few people (and I mean very few) on reddit that claims theirs shipped from Bestbuy, but they were in preparing stage earlier yesterday and never got the delay email. So far I only seen 3 people claim this on reddit.

Yeah, that to me indicates they just got an extremely small supply or worse that they took some of the initial supply and moved it to their ebay orders because they may be governed by stricter shipping regulations as a business.

 
Shame about Target. I guess I can try tracking one down through GameStop. I had luck finding Destiny Taken King CE for PS4 on launch day so I hope the same can happen today!
 
Taking people's preorders and selling them on Ebay to make $16 a pop is a stupid move, considering what happened with the Majora's Mask fiasco and how much Best Buy had to pay out to appease their customers.

 
Thank God I put in two orders at Best Buy. My in store pickup is ready today but my ship to home is delayed. The ship to home will probably arrive in a bubble mailer and beat to shit like my Xenoblade SE so I'm actually OK with this outcome.
 
I'll be heading over to Gamestop when they open to look for one. It's a full-court longshot but it's only a few minutes away and I can grab a Mew card as a consolation prize, so it's worth giving it the old college try.

Did they show any kind of proof? I find it hard to believe it would happen like that, I would think it would be closer to a 50/50 split if any online ship to home orders shipped.

Also, for whatever it's worth, I preordered the thing within just a couple minutes of it going live... If anyone's was going to ship I would think I'd be in that group.

I think this would certainly be the time for "pics or GTFO" when it comes to everybody across the board not having shipments from here on CAG, with people on Reddit claiming they did get them shipped out.

 
I placed my order minutes after it was up, and mine is delayed.

I usually have an insane amount of good luck when it comes to best buy orders but this is the worst it has been.
 
I changed my delivery speed to "expedited" and just got my order status changed to preparing for shipping. I've seen other people reporting the same thing. Until it's shipped I don't know if that means much but it might be worth a try to get the ball rolling.

 
Same here, preordered it within a few minutes of it going live and got the delay email.  So far the pattern seems to be if you preordered for shipping you got the delay email and if you preordered for store pickup, yours is ready for pickup at the store you choose.  Favoritism for in-store pickups is bullshit in my opinion.  Though selling copies on ebay instead of fulfilling existing customer orders made months in advance is an even bigger piece of bull excrement.  Not sure how they fucked up this bad but am interested to see how they handle it.

Wonder if they plan to print more for Revelation release date. Revelation releases on 3/10 and BBY new estimated delivery is 3/14. Was also up on AMZ few hours ago (backorder).
I received my AMZ order yesterday but still had one pre ordered at BBY with the 3/14 delay.
 
Look like by Best Buy response the delay emails were a error. This was just posted on the forum and other reps say the same on Twitter:

Good news is I pre-ordered one at Gamestop and Walmart :)
 
The email was obviously a triggered generic response, I'm just wondering when they actually plan on shipping these and if they'll do anything extra as an apology.

I'm not really expecting much, but my wife is pretty upset since she had planned to dive into this over the weekend.
 
I dunno if it's just me, but I think it is pretty cool that I am actually part of this. I'm in the same boat as everyone else from best lie but I don't sweat it. Life goes on. Sucks yes. Life changing? Lol.

I can only imagine what is going on at the hq right now. Lol. Hey, at keast I have my shiney new fe 3ds coming today. That will be cool to check out.

They used to. I remember getting a Gears of War CE from them a few years back for $9.98 on clearance. But yeah, I haven't seen any CE's in store lately at TRU.

Regardless if this is a delay or a "delay" because of some issue with the processing scenario for these pre-orders, it's still a horribly bad idea for 2000 copies of a game to show up on eBay, since it's been sold out on BB.com for months after being pre-ordered, some people hearing that if their pre-orders weren't done after a certain date, they won't get their copies and then everyone gets a delay for those that did orders for shipment not in-store pickup.
