Update: 11:46 my order went to preparing for shipment.

 
Picked up my SE from GameStop. Clerk said they got about 20 calls before opening asking about extra copies. Copy he gave me had a dinged corner, but he let me swap it for one of the other 2 preorders that were still waiting to be picked up. According to the receipt I saved $999.99 today (discount on the keychain promo item). Sadly it might not be too far off the mark.

I always laugh when employees let us customers do this. I feel bad for the next guy who gets the fucked up one. I've done this many times before lol.

 
Man BBY shipping is on the ball...My MegaMan Legacy Collection w/Amiibo just got shipped...sorry FE Fates folks, MegaMan apparently is more important.  Also my Walmart FE Fates Dresser with Ottoman is on the way  :D/

Thanks. I don't think it's going to be as common as people think; with Amazon OOS and Best Buy only showing available to pick up at a handful of stores and the rest being "ship to store in 4-7 days", meaning no stock at the moment.

Certainly not rare, but I'm not sure if it's something that'll be around the next time there is a blanket N3DS sale

 
Lol. Just looked at the scampers online selling the SE at ridiculous prices. I guess if there's stupid enough people to buy it at $1000 then...whatever.

That Mirrors Edge limited edition statue looks amazing tho. Didn't know about that. $200. Ack

Picked up last night's Ebay order at Best Buy nps a couple of hours ago when the store opened. 

EDIT:  an associate confirmed that they received four units and most were for in-store pickup pre-orders.   Then the remaining 1 or 2 (he was vague) were pulled this morning.  So there were none available to customers when they opened.  However, they did initially have an extra ~1 units.  (which the Ebay orders were fulfilled from, when the workers arrived this morning).

same here. preparing to ship after changing address to same address

So it seems to be a authorization issue with this specific pre order and not supply issue. so by editing address to same address causing a change it prompted a new and valid Pre auth charge that then pushed the orders through.

That why the ebay orders went through cause since they went up today the 19th and not as a pre order the new auth went through immediately for those orders.

 
I got a confirmation for pick up about 10 minutes ago, but I won't be able to pick up until evening. I'll believe this when the game is actually in my hands. 

 
My Best Buy SE order just changed from Pre-ordered to Preparing your item for shipping. I even go the delay email yesterday.

My frys pickup that I placed last night was cancelled 30 minutes before store opened.

Ebay Bestbuy order still intact but I don't see anywhere that would say it is preparing for shipment.  I was a late one probably ~1500.

Ugh I'm pissed I missed the eBay thing. My store apparently had an extra but it was sold like that.
 
Wow. Just got shipping confirmation from Best Buy eBay with USPS tracking! YES! :D Wow, I'm actually totally surprised. Now I guess I don't care if my pickup is available locally. 

Hah! Wow, Best Buy totally screwed the pooch on these orders. I feel bad for those that preordered in November and are stuck. I only ordered mine... what... 12 hours ago?

My Fry's in-store pickup was cancelled right about 7:30ish.  Of course at the same time, the employee came out from the store and handed out vouchers for 6 games and 6 systems.  I was about 10th in line.  Only 3 people were there for the system, and they were not part of the first 6 for the game.

Props to the guy first in line, who at their at midnight.

BB order changed to "your order was received" from"pre-ordered" and my card was charged, no change of address/shipping needed
 
Things are looking better now for me. Just got 2 email from Amex regarding "card not present charges" for these 2 FE SE purchase online back in November. My status on bby.com have not change but atlease they charged my cc. Looking good.....
 
Looks like my Fates order from November just switched over also - was "awaiting authorization" next to the card info, now it's blank. Pre-order message is replaced with a "Your order was received" message. 

 
Best Buy should change their "In Progress" status to "We Heard You, OK?". Also, my item is now back ordered so that's clearly progress.  :rofl:

 
This ebay crap is pissing me off... Those of us who ordered in Nov haven't gotten shit, but those who ordered last night on eBay from Best Buy have gotten shipment or in store pickup confirmations. Way to go Best Buy.

that back ordered part is actually normal and happens with every pre order during processing and preparing stage. Best buy just wierd like that but that actually normal and doesnt mean actual backorder.

 
fuck.... I should've chosen ship to home instead. I thought that we could only do ship to store on ebay (that's what people were saying last night). I always prefer shipping to my house then me going to the store and picking it up. This sucks.

Ship to home option was only available for a really short period of time. It sold out quickly and then became store pickup only.
 
Just picked up my FE BBY website in-store pickup with no hassles. In-store pickup at my BBY has always been on point for me. Never any delays or hassles. Really happy I got my copy, the artbook is really nice.

Damn, oh well. Guess I'll just go to sleep and hopefully I get a confirmation email later. Pulled an all nighter because I was so excited about getting my SE, but I guess I shoulda known better.

 
My online BB ship to home order has been changed to "preparing."  I never even bothered to make any changes to it.

Although it hasn't officially shipped yet, I feel real optimistic about my chances.  Up to this point, I was never really stressed about my preorder.  When I saw the ebay listing last night I had a small moment of hesitation but I still wasn't ready to jump off the bridge like everybody else here that was on the same boat.  It was odd to have to wait until release date but it's not like the warehouse workers are waiting the day after release to figure out what they have.  Patience can pay off.

What I'm curious about is whether Amazon is going to fulfill those extra preorders that came back up late last night.  There was no cap on them and they were up for a good amount of time.  I saw Neogaf was going nuts all over it.

Best buy uses UPS not fedex so wont happen.

So overnighting it still wouldnt get there until tuesday the earliest.

if they use ups then it will be picked up from best buy warehouse later tonight and sit there until sunday evening when it will then start moving again on monday.
