My FE Fates SE showed up today from Best Buy via UPS.  Oddly, slightly under-packed with air-pack though survived without any scratches on it.

 
My FE:Fates SE from BB arrived today in a box with a Lithium-Ion battery warning label on it. Only one air-pack in it, but it wasn't damaged at all.

I've had all types of items shipped in one of those boxes with the Li-Ion warning on them, oddly enough including items that actually needed that warning. I'm sure it's whatever box they had handy when they shipped it out.

 
I know we can be complainers here but it is hilarious to go to the Best Buy forum and watch the FE SE thread. They take it to a new level.

You and me buddy. That's some pretty epic trolling considering the email on Friday told me it was shipping that day. Also, the rep I spoke to said to ignore the backorder as it could be on a truck now however that works. Then the "back office" guy called me later and told me at the latest it would be March 14th. Class act that Best Buy.

I know you are kidding around, but I don't think best buy has a record of the sale so you wont be able to return it in store.

I know a couple people that ordered via ebay during that first round for in store pickup and when they went to pick it up the game wasn't there. best buy couldn't refund their money because they said they have no record of the sale.

Items purchased via eBay are returnable within 14 days of receiving it I think. You would have some sort of receipt or order number when it ships.

Interesting. All eBay Best Buy orders have a BBY01 order number associated to them. As a matter of fact you can return in store with print out of receipt:

not sure if it matters, but I wonder if people with Elite/Elite + memberships have precedent over other people in regards to whose order gets backordered or not.

No, I was the OP of the original sale thread. I have yet to receive my copy. I've been elite for years. Gamers club since before when it was a few coupons in a magazine every month. They did tell me it SHOULD be in order received but confirmed it doesn't appear so in this case.

I'm not elite and my order was shipped Friday. I think someone mentioned that BB's orders seem to get processed in LIFO order.

 
I just got mine. Best Buy shipped it in a box just big enough for it. There was only one air bubble inside but that's all there is room for. Mine is mint  :D/ Time to play!

 
Fire Emblem SE arrived from Gamestop today. I really do appreciate how it was shipped in an envelope. The added creases on the box really adds character to it. /sarcasm

My Fire Emblem Fates SE from Best Buy arrived today in a bubble mailer. A couple of the outer box's corners were slightly dented/bent, but otherwise I'm happy--I'm glad none of the sides were caved in or anything like that.

 
Damn, my FE Fates SE arrived and it looks like someone jumped on it.  

Even the MM Legacy Collection CE that came in a box looks the same.  It actually looks more like they purposefully squished it so it would fit sideways in the box instead of just putting it lengthwise.  Thank goodness they used 10+ air packets to pad it though...

 
Ours arrived today safely packed in a box, thankfully I've never had a problem with my local fulfillment center (it's literally an hour away).
