I already posted in the topic about the Homefront: Goliath Edition price glitch, but for anyone who hasn't noticed yet, they're getting cancelled.

 
I got in touch with Amazon again, ended up getting $20 in credit... I would have still liked to get my order fulfilled but clearly they're just going to keep relisting them for bots to buy them out instead of ppl who actually want it... :wall:

Just contacted Amazon CS and got an extra month of Prime out of this. It's not free store credit, but being a poor college student I'm fine with it.

I was also told that there were "over a thousand orders" placed with the glitch. I guess over one thousand is too many to compensate for.

Sucks you guys got yours cancelled. Amazon usually honors stuff, but I guess that big of a drop-off.

They honored all those The Last Story price error orders.

 
All these stealth cancellations reminds me of the time when I pre-ordered that giant FF artbook, the first print that came with a signed card from Amano. I pre-ordered very early and come 2 days before release, I get nervous b/c I didn't get a shipping notice. I contact Amazon and they tell me it's being packed right now and will ship soon. Late into the following day, I get a cancellation email. 
I get shit happens, but had they told me up front they were sold out, I could have ordered it form another site. Granted it would have cost more but I still would have gotten it for like $100, vs $600 they were going for in the aftermarket. They had no real reason to lie to me about it being "packed right now"... had they even hinted that there were stock issues, I would have ordered at the other site (which sold out the night before). 

I followed up, pointing out the employee who mislead me... and they just apologized and said there are copies available in the marketplace. I pointed out that people were selling it for $600+ and they gave me $10 credit.:roll: 

Yes, Amazon's CS is usually pretty good but when they fuck up, they fuck up beyond belief.

First rep I talked to assured me he would find a solution to my problem and asked me to hold. Then disconnected from me like 10 minutes later

Second rep repeated the same stupid canned message about it being out of stock/nintendo ordering it to be cancelled, and refusing to believe it could have come back in stock. Didn't even believe that I could have not received any sort of notification either. When I finally said it'd be impossible to re-order, they just kept telling me to set an item alert and that I should be able to catch one later.

 
Honestly I don't get that. Amazon has not yet sent me any of the item alerts, the hell? I set it up for Xenoblade, Fates Special Edition, and a few other games .Never got an email..

 
My gametop order for Zero escape 3 has a release date for 7/21. Is that just a place holder date or could it be the release date? Can I start getting uber hyped already that its almost here?

 
freakin amazon.  I had fates ce cancelled first at frys which was probably actually in stock but pulled for line waiters, now amazon without even telling me, and I still have an unshipped ebay bestbuy order that I bet they have no idea actually exists and will eventually have to make a paypal claim for.  I think it is just not meant to be.

I think it's worth noting that since there's a Nintendo Direct later today, they're may be new special/limited editions coming out out for upcoming games. And going off of the Fire Emblem Fates fiasco, it will probably go for pre order minutes after the direct, and then minutes later it'll probably sell out.

That's oddly specific. It could be the actual date. Amazon seems to have leaked a 6/21 release date for No Man's Sky, so it happens.

If they announce a Hyrule Warriors Legends CE after I just imported it, I'm going to scream. Luckily I can bank on any CE not being as good as the Treasure Box anyway.

Maybe a Star Fox CE?

I forgot that game existed. Are people still excited for it? When is it even out? Not sure if $90 for a statue and stickers is good or not. I guess it is better than the $60-140 for plastic ones other games give us.

I still think it's likely going to be a big flop but I love see cool well made CE's that speak to the spirit of the whole thing. Diecase and less than 10k means that whatever enthusiast group continues to play this, there will be people out there who would love that ship on their shelf.

Well, that sold me. At a minimum I'll preorder when possible as those are generally my ideal CE. A small, managable steelbook with some fun extras. That said, for 100 bucks I expect some substantial DLC or something more than what appears to be a book and sticker sheets. We'll see..

The iam8bit versions have always been exclusive. I don't think theres really a chance of seeing it anywhere else. You didn't with Hotline Miami 2 or OxenFree.
