What's the difference? It has some of the contents that you would commonly find in a CE, so in this case I would use the two words interchangeably.

Amazon has been hit or miss as of late with me as well.

In January 2016, I ordered a non-gaming item from them. The next day, I received a cancellation e-mail from them saying it was an in-stock and pricing error. They added a gift card to my account for the inconvenience.

From what I have read, Amazon usually honors their pricing errors. Back in December 2015, a Batman: Arkham Knight + Season Pass code was available for sub-$20. They took down the listing and updated it to the correct price within the hour. Every one who bought one with the pricing error received their code.

I sympathize with every one who did not receive a courtesy e-mail. Amazon needs to have their house in order.

Well to be fair the Arkham Knight snafoo was a digital code. Everyone who ordered it when the price mistake was going on got the code immediately after placing it. They didn't have time to go back and cancel the orders like when something has to be shipped. They also couldn't charge anyone who's order already did go through with the "correct" price, since they be in serious trouble if they tried. Basically they didn't have any option than to let it go.

I agree but with Fire Emblem Fates it's different for me. They released the whole thing on one card, it's not like it was too big so they had to release it as two different games right? The special edition is the way it should have been released and then if you're worried about the cost split it up into two downloadable options. It wasn't odd to see a big SNES game like Lufia, Street Fighter 2, or Final Fantasy released at over $70 so I think it's unrealistic to say that now the market wouldn't support a more expensive 3DS release. Just my thoughts.

Probably not that uncommon, but nowadays there are plenty of methods for playing out-of-region games on the 3ds.

 
Well basically after my Mega Man Legacy Collection shenanigans, I got no game...but they gave me a full refund on the statue, and Iw as able to keep the $5, plus use the $35 gift card and extra One Day Shipping. A lot of problems, but whatever, worked out in the end. Statue is kinda average really.

Wow, just woke up and read about no man's sky. I'm glad I amazon pre-ordered immediately. I figured it'd be one that eventually sold for $25 new but I didn't wanna take the chance.

I'll be surprised if they don't restock it tho.

Was just going to preorder it too...then I realized it was going to be DRM-Free and modable on PC with GOG and can even run perfectly on my old laptop. No Man's Sky on my laptop hooked to the tv hdmi and playing with a much better Xbox One controller. Yes please. And I can take it on the go.

For those who didn't know it's DRM free on PC with extra features.

Thanks for that I had pre ordered at Gamestop, where they sold through their pre orders in like 2 days, but can't beat that discount gonna pre order and if it goes lower than that would be awesome.

well after all of the shenanigans with Amazon and my Mega Man statue...they refunded me for teh full statue due to no game and feeling really bad. I wish I got Legacy Collection on PS4 for free, but I'm not gonna get that greedy. I already got $40 in credit, $35 of which I used for Rayman Origins and Legends (PS3/PS4) so I won't complain.

So, you ordered the statue thinking there was a game with it, and rather than Amazon sending you the game, they refunded you for the statue, and also another $40 in Amazon credit, and didn't require you to return the statue?

They told me they were willing to do all that, I never asked at all. Someone else here got a refund with their statue/game too. I asked amazon about the statue, they said I can keep it. I would have totally returned it.

Either that, or they're aware of the other times I got screwed over by some sellers on amazon who didn't send me some stuff I was buying as gift for friends, or sent me random junk instead of the thing so it's like 'well shit here'

If it's eBay and it's like opening a case (from what I know on chargebacks),  you might be disadvantaged because eBay really sides with the buyers. At worst, you really might be screwed, especially if it's the FE Fates SE. What's the exact situation?

People have been openly talking about filing chargebacks for free FE fates on here and NowInStock. I'll probably have to call their local police department and give them their info. I don't know if posting eBay IDs in this thread is allowed, but if you sell on eBay, PM me so you can block this person.

Yea open a case with the police and give the case number to both paypal and the buyer.
 
I've never had anyone scam me since I starting shipping more professionally using Paypal and Ebay printed labels, nice boxes, protected packing, and signature confirmation and/or insurance on the expensive packages.   I figure using those labels is huge, because the companies have direct documentation and the packages are always scanned.  I honestly think that people get the idea to scam as soon as they see some pen writing on a package. 

Buying a cheap Brother laser printer is one of the best investments you can make.  Just do it.  Start printing your own labels purchased directly from USPS, Paypal, and Ebay. 

 
From my understating there's no way to win a chargeback from a buyers credit card, if he opened a dispute through ebay or paypal maybe you have a chance. Good luck,  I would post their ebay name publicly.

I'm so fuckin pissed right now. I print labels through eBay/PayPal, just saw the advice on eBay Reddit to call so I'm about to do that and see what's up. Hopefully it doesn't take long because I have a computer science meeting in like 45mins. fuck what a Friday....
