I got both and only the deluxe showed up..... the hell? I made a order at 9:08 right after I got out of the event. the 0.50 shows up as well.

 
I ordered 1 of each (PS4/X1) Ultimate Collector's Edition around 12:04-12:05am EST.

I still don't have a confirmation e-mail, nor is the order in my history, but I do see a 0.50 charge on my credit card.

I've ordered/preordered a bunch of stuff from Sqeenix before and even stuff not that high in demand has taken a day or 2 to confirm for me.

But I still put a ticket in to "Verify Order" just because it's a highly coveted item.

(EDITS Galore since the initial post was on a phone)

I ended up ordering 2 last night. I couldn't tell if the 1st one went thru, so in sheer panic I bought another with a different payment. An hour later, I get 2 order confirmations.

Went to sleep early so I missed the announcement and wake up to this sh!t.

I'll buy one off of you if wnt to get rid of later. But chances are you can easily flip this for a profit.

Same happened to me. First order had an error, but second one went through. Now, I got a confirmation for both orders.

I couldnt even begin to pay for the CE, but this I can manage a bit easier since I get the 20% off.

FF has burned me for the past few years and let me down but I am willing to give it one more shot. Im hoping this one will deliver on a good rpg. If it didnt come with a movie I probably wouldnt have gotten it.

It did say Ultimate Edition exclusive Playart's Kai figure. I think someone said they will sell a Noctis figure separately but it will be different than the one with the UE or something. As long as that's the case, the UE exclusive figure will hold its value. In terms of rarity, I think people needs to take into account popularity of the title as in number of die hard fan base vs quantity made (supply vs demand) instead of just looking at amount made. I can tell you that there were more than 30,000 Black Ops Juggernog Editions made and it's one of the rarest CEs in recent years (and thats just a NA only thing, not split up to worldwide). But Tales of Zestiria CE with 20,000 copies made was not considered rare because it's a niche series that sells just a few hundred thousand copies. There are also probably close to 30k Dire Emblem Fates Special Editions made and that's another super rare one. From what I gathered SF V is a game that sold poorly, so therefore 25k was probably considered overproduced. Meanwhile FF XV is expected to sell millions of copies (previous main FF titles sold between 3 to 10 million copies). So 30,000 is a very limited number if you look at it this way. When it comes to rarity of CEs. Supply vs Demand is way more important than actual quantity produced.

Got the FFXV Deluxe from Amazon. Was thinking about the CE, but couldn't justify the price. Especially since I should be saving money for other things, but the 20% off made it more manageable.

Ordered last night and woke up to finding I have not received an email confirmation and it does not show up in my history. I sent them an email with the order number given to me. Doesn't look good

From what I read, the figure itself is the same as the one listed on AmiAmi already, but it will come with a extra exclusive weapon. So i dont think there will be too much of a value difference down the line.

I don't see a Noctis playarts kai on AmiAmi nor SE store, I only see Gladio, Prompto, and Ignis.
 
Where are people reading this information about the Noctis figure? Is it just from one random post somewhere?

Actually I can't find any official info either. However I do see from online pics that there are two different Noctis Playarts Kai figures in different poses. Maybe people got confused.

As long as you think of the game as a generic action RPG and not a Final Fantasy game you should be fine.

It will still have RPG elements right???
 
I see there is an easy cancellation button on the orders page. Good, now I can start saving for it. No more coffee shop runs, hello free-low-grade-coffee-from-the-company.

 
I ordered 2 last night about 10 minutes apart due to the delay in emails being sent out. I got one email confirming one and but not the other and only one is showing up in the order history. I only wanted one, so that's fine, but I wonder if they oversold it or if their servers just took a crap and there's a backlog of people still missing their confirmation.

Ah gotcha, yea don't underestimate what that exclusive weapon can do to the value of that figure though. Especially if the packaging is different as well.

It sounds like a few of us are in the same boat, so you're not alone. I too have a pending SE charge and an email from PP authorizing payment but haven't received an email from SE.

 
Literally just got my confirmation e-mail 12 hours later. (Ordered 06:07:22) according to the e-mail.

So like I said, give it time if you managed to actually get an order in.

I hit reload on My Orders and it showed up as well.

I'll probably sell the weapon or the figure and weapon together once I get it. Only really interested in the steelbooks, movies, and soundtrack.

Yep, same. I -really- want to collect figures like figmas and Play Arts Kai, but I already collect wayy too many other figures like amiibos, Star Wars Black series, Squadts, 3A, Kidrobot, Coarse, and other artist toys.

Should have no problem selling that Noctis figure to alleviate the cost of the CE.

Yeah but if the games story isnt any good, the characters boring and so on then whats the point? Just because it has rpg elements doesnt make it a good game. And if all I wanted was a generic rpg then I can find those a dime a dozen and not need to pay full retail, or even spend more to get a deluxe edition of it. If all I wanted was a generic rpg then I wouldnt bother buying a final fantasy game. I want a good FF game, hence why I am buying a FF game.

I didnt like final fantasy 13 because of those reasons, and because it was a trilogy which drug it out more. 14 was an mmo which I didnt want. Explorers was ok, but it was shallow and felt like a poor mans monster hunter. 0 was just a remaster of a decent psp game that wasnt actually made any better. I just want a good final fantasy game, and I am hoping this will be one since the last bunch of final fantasy games let me down.

Thats like me buying a new toyota prius and saying I hope this years new model is good, and someone saying "it has four wheels and goes forward, if you think of it like that then youll be fine". If all I wanted was four wheels and goes forward I could easily just buy a used ford pinto that still runs.

 
My cousin whom ordered shortly before it went OOS last night after coming home late from work just got his email confirmation. Looks like he lucked out!

My point about the figure not being exclusive (wording only suggests that the weapon is) is that since the figure makes up the bulk of the value, it's hard to determine if this is something that would make sense to sit on to resell. Yes, demand is going to be there regardless, but how many diehards are going to be willing to pay top of the market money? 100? 1,000?

30,000 as a print run for a collectible figure is very high. 1,000 is a high print run for high(er) end statues like McFarlane, Slideshow and GamingHeads.


Edit: Also, this is Square we are talking about. "Exclusive" is a funny term to them; how many "store exclusive" items have ended up on Amazon?

If it's 30,000 worldwide (numbered vs not-numbered?) it's not going to hit a clearance but I'd just be wary of getting overhyped based on their initial advertising when they'be been know to sell "store exclusives" via other mediums (amazon and gamestop) and had games that were sold out for the longest time reappear back in-stock down the road.
