I'm not a huge expert on repo games but $100 isn't that much different than many other repos. I have two TimeWalkGames repos and each one cost me around $100 from what I remember- and that was for games that used doner shells and PCB boards. I'm guessing iam8bit had to custom make the shell and PCB board for these- no way they're gonna get 5,500 doner games.

Yeah, I just didn't see the demand for this, and I'm a HUGE SF fan. At $50, I for sure would have bought one, maybe even a little more for the variant, but at $100, for a roll of the dice, no THANK YOU! If this is indeed sold out, I was way off base, no question about it.

 
I wanted to get one of each. Still waiting for my reply on whether or not they let me. Lol. I sent it the morning they announced it. With all the negative comments here I figured I was safe. Nope. Gone before they could even reply. Boo!

I've been through 5 Yakuza Kiwami Steelbooks and all have been damaged in some sense with dents and dings.  Anyone else have issues with theirs?  This can't be just me lol

Wow, that's crazy. You got me nervous, so I opened mine and yup it is dinged up. Nothing super bad, but there are small dings and scratches on it.

It's insane how bad these Steelbooks are.  I've never had this many issues with one specific Steelbook.  I've even gone as far as to go to different Best Buys when doing the exchanges to see if that would make a difference.  Smh I am going to try again tomorrow and if this one is jacked up, I am going to see if they just have the regular version in stock.  Not worth the hassle of this shit.

You have some really bad luck, opened mine up after seeing you posts. Not one ding or scratch on it. I would say keeping trying until you get one that is not damaged, steelbook is beautiful and worth it.

Could be best buy's lot from the warehouse. I got mine from walmart.com, no issue except some minor wear to the outer sleeve.
 
I just can't catch a break. The one I got yesterday looked perfect. Got home, opened it up, front was mint, back had a 2in long dent line right in the center. I'm beyond annoyed at this point.
 
Just a heads up, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is STILL listed as coming out this year (they didnt change the date at this past Pax) and we haven't heard anything about a CE, or even box art for that matter.

If the game doesn't get delayed, then I would expect to see something announced in the next month or so.
 
Mine has two silver dots on the back that look like scratches, but matches the tattoo coloring. I can't figure out if it's damage or design.

It actually already came out, it just sold out so fast that no one even realized it ever existed.

And Nintendo is NOT MAKING MORE. So don't ask.

I cancelled my Destiny 2 CE from BB. Was not impressed with the contents. Lately though, kinda bored with CE's nowadays as its getting more expensive, and not as impressive to buy anymore. CE's are more filler material for me. Might bow out of CE collecting. Anybody on CAG sorta feeling that?? Never though I'd quir collecting CE's, but will buy cheap games though, like I first started off in CAG.

Yep, that's basically been what I've done. I still break down from time to time for series I love but I've backed off in a big way and honestly I'm better off for it.

 
I heard you guys like steelbooks. Picked all of these up for $5 at Gamestop. Not sure if news or not. I think I found them all.

Absolutely I feel that way. Trying to only buy CEs from the franchises I really care about, and only buy other ones when they are really cheap. Destiny is one of those special franchises. Although I still may not keep that one either. Mostly I just buy JRPG CEs and a few other sets with unique steelbooks + soundtracks. It's a waste to buy them with all the good games we have these days, that you can buy four games for the same cost as forgoing one of these CEs.

I already collect too much other shit that I don't plan on quitting. I collect amiibos, Star Wars Black series 6" figs, and lots of steelbooks in addition to all sorts of blu ray media. I'm already drowning in boxes and amaray cases. So most importantly, there simply isn't anymore space.

 
Anyone know if the avengers vs capcom ce comes with any exclusive dlc not in the deluxe? Trying to justify the extra $90 after seeing the unboxing video
 
I'm keeping my Destiny 2 CE because I find myself in the odd position of wanting and liking the bag and still don't have a good case for my Surface Pro. A decent bag costs around 50-75 bucks and so even though the silly charger/blanket/cord combo is kinda worthless to me I figure Activision is making 50-75 bucks off of me for the privilege of buying their licensed bag.

That said, I have a pile of steelbook, a couple of CEs, 3rd party transformers and other crap I'm getting rid of as I finally limit the crap I collect. I unloaded my entire CE collection a couple years back shortly followed by my CE guide collection. There's only going to be more crap to buy so I'm trying to move to a quality over quantity approach so I don't find myself running a fire sale every two years.

 
Warning to those of you who cancelled your Destiny 2 orders at Best Buy: I was charged $21.39 for the beta code after cancelling. I had to call Best Buy support to get them to remove the charge.

 
Managed to snag a second Metroid Legacy from Amazon Germany. Hopefully it doesn't get cancelled. The SNES Mini went up on Amazon France a few minutes ago too. Both sold out again.

In Tyrok's weekly ad thread, it mentions that this is the freebie for buying any digital content of the game (base game, digital deluxe version of the game, expansion pass). The only digital content Best Buy has is for :ps4:, but now that I know I can buy it separately, I don't have to worry about doing any of that since I'm playing on :xb1: . :D

So in the event I hope to get a Destiny 2 CE with GCU where are these cancelled order going to show up? In store or mostly online?

Not sure what is going on with the Destiny 2 digital stuff for Xbox at Best Buy. Sony must really have a stranglehold with their exclusives. The PS4 version even comes with a sticker on the front that flips up to reveal a UPC for the season pass.

Destiny 2 launches tonight and I still don't have a shipping confirmation for my LE from gamestop.  I paid the fastest shipping too. :(

 
I thought the D2 PS4 Collectors Edition were sold out everywhere? I see them up for preorder from Amazon just now...what gives??

Also I don't see any discount when I place it in my basket, why no discount for Prime members??

They went up late last week and there's no more discount for collector's editions.

Prime discount no longer works on collectors,limited, etc.

Yeah, there's a group of those who got EU 3DS, so they could play other English releases that wouldn't be offered here, or physical releases like the one in question. There are some of course who got the Japanese 3DS for the same reasons, but not all of those games are as easily playable. So I'm not surprised to see there's a market here for EU releases, as there is for sure those here who bought units over the years.
