Yeah I got two steelbooks and threw in a tshirt and some small bits and pieces to use up my points, and was hit with $31 shipping. WTF! I sat on it for a while and then figured what the hell, I'll buy. When the total came up, it was 33. THEY CHARGED TAX ON SHIPPING.

I won't defend their ridiculous shipping costs, but in their defense about the tax on shipping, my state (PA, and I'm sure some others) require retailers to charge tax on the price of goods plus shipping costs. In any case their stupid shipping costs on "rewards" are the main reason I still have over 860 Reward points that I have never used. I probably won't start today either.

They changed login types on us. It used to only let me log in with my facebook account, but now it wants my email. I had to recover the password and it let me in.

Still it lasted a good 8 hours, while all other retailers lasted only around 30 minutes. Guess it could be because it was the middle of the night and no one was paying attention.
 
Did anyone order/receive any SBs from the SE store rewards? Ordered the Type-O and Deux Ex SBs and they just put both in a box for shipment... nothing to protect them from each other or any time of transit damage.

Yeah that's how they always ship them. In a box with just a couple air bags. Fortunately none of mine have been damaged but yeah it sucks since they charge $12 for shipping one.

 
You would think paying $12 for shipping would get you UPS Ground, nope, Scalefast/Square Enix cheaped out and used Surepost instead.

I ordered a blanket as well so my steelbooks arrived undamaged as the blanket acted as the protection in the box.

 
Damn, my star ocean steelbook is a bit damaged.  I ordered a bunch of stuff and they didn;t put any kind of protection in it the box.  Think complaining would help

 
I ordered a game from Best Buy, and it has been listed as "Shipment information sent to FedEx" for almost a week now. Best Buy usually ships fast and I'm an Elite member. Should I contact them or just wait?

I ended up contacting them for a package that I had a similar issue with UPS. Tracking kept saying it was awaiting pickup and when I contacted them they said they’d send a replacement. Most likely they misplaced your package at the warehouse.

My Shadow of Tomb Raider CE had the steelbook loose in a box next to the CE box which landed on the steelbook several times.

I called and they told me to wait until June 3rd and if I don't get it, call back. The package was "shipped" May 21st, what kinda delivery takes 2 weeks to arrive?

When I've tried calling them, they've told me I should choose a faster shipping option (faster than "release day shipping") and tell me to wait.

BB's shipping and customer service is atrocious for me (even as an Elite member), but I'm conflicted because I still have GCU and all of the other 20% discount programs are dead.

Make sure you clear it up before the thirty day window. Had a similar issue, they didn’t resolve, after 30 days told me to fuck off. I stopped using them and reported to BBB.

I'm an elite plus member, when I ordered it said I'd get it in 2 days. Now it has been bumped to 2 weeks.

The first thirty days of trying to resolve it- not on me. The service at Best Buy has fallen off of a cliff. They did apologize and try to make right. No thanks. Irrelevant vendor these days.

I called back using the Elite dedicated number and they told me the estimated delivery date is June 20th now.

What in the fucking hell is going on? lol. It's not backordered on the site or anything either.

 
Ask for a manager. They will get someone different on the line. They’ve conveniently stopped doing emails and the chat has been down for weeks. Check to see if that’s available too.
 
I finally got someone who spoke English this time and he agreed there's something wrong with the order most likely. He said the system won't let him process a replacement until June 3rd though, so if I don't get it by then to call back.

If I call back and I get the runaround again by someone else, then I'm just going to re-buy the item, and call and cancel the original order on the 20th(I was told that's the take the transaction will get cancelled if I don't receive it). And if by some miracle I do and get 2 of them, I'll just return one.

Also Our World Is Ended's Day 1 Edition may be worth keeping an eye on, depending on if the game ends up good or not. It was out of stock for shipping at Best Buy yesterday, although it got a restock today.

Are those random anime girl games any good? I see hardly any news on them outside the goodie bag CEs they put out and a ton of them on the PS4 shelf at gamestop. I've had little interest in CEs for those games because of the lack of general info on them, but I guess there is a market for it.

 
Best Buy is known for fucking up, but I have had it work in my favor two times now.

I ordered games for shipping and they arrived damaged.  Best Buy issued me replacements and told me to go return the damaged ones in store.  One was Hitman 2 Gold Edition, and the next was Days Gone Collector's Edition.  However, the replacements they send are rung up at a total of $0.00.  So upon returning the damaged games at the request of the associate I spoke to, I got my money back and was still sent the replacements free of charge.  Not my fault lol.

Once I had some marvel movies ordered at best buy. But decided to cancel them. They sent me them anyway for free lol. It was only 3 movies. And nothing like that has every happened again.
 
That used to happen all the time. I don't think BB cared since their movie distributor probably took the hit for shipping canceled orders.

 
I usually order one for delivery and one for pickup because of all the recent screw-ups with inventory / release timing and damaged boxes with those freaking stickers right on the box, but BB is canceling my second order.
