It's not GAME exclusive. It's GAME exclusive in the UK. In the Netherlands it's Game Mania exclusive (they were the first to list it). In Germany, the Steelbook has a listing all of it's own that was taken down and then put back up but hasn't wen't live yet. In France it's Micromania exclusive. In Australia it's EB Games exclusive. I haven't searched for any other european countries to see if its available elsewhere also.

I pretty much want to cancel my normal CE for Biomutant I've had for a couple of years now that I see THQ has gone stupid and put a steelbook with the $400 version and still use the same stupid screenshot for everything in both CEs. I know they showed more than that, but it feels like the game only has that one fight because that's all they advertise.

Edit: Cancelled.  It turned into 3 steelbooks at BB :p

Price of CEs are out of hand, we need to come together and take a stand.

Didn't mean for that to rhyme, but now that I hear it, if I ever run for president that's a nice slogan to run with.

Can probably buy that steelbook solo on ebay for like $15 after release, no one's gonna buy that CE.

 
THQ has some balls to charge for super premium CE's for Biomutant and Destroy All Humans.  I thought the standard CE was pushing it for these titles, but now they have a $400 one?  Are they only expecting to sell around 100 copies of each one?

 
Companies are crazy thinking people want to pay these prices for this stuff.

Why dont companies make collectors edition like the sekiro one. That one was well worth it.

Because selling 20,000 units with a margin of maybe $30 like Sekiro versus a few thousand units with a margin of $200 is the same and it's easier for a publisher to go with the latter from the logistics perspective.

 
The figures are massive though. Both about 2' x 1'. You'd have to be a huge fan to not only spend that much, but to have that amount of display space to fit them.

 
The Destroy All Humans DNA Collector's Edition for $150 looks cool. but I'll wait for a price drop. 

Edit: Didn't realize the base game is only $40..... that's too much for a CE

So I was on Amazon.de yesterday and somehow their Euro exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn steelbook flew under my radar, I never got it. So, I ordered one it was only 7 euros.

Not sure how I missed that one, didn't even know it existed.

Whoa cool. I don't collect steelbooks but Horizon is my fave game this gen, for like $11, picked one up!

If you collect G2 (blu-Ray/ps4/xbone size) steelbooks its a good idea to do a weekly search on amazon Germany for “Steelbook” then filter down to video game category. They’re made in Germany so their amazon gets a lot of them standalone for €10 or less usually.

Most of the European Steelbooks are made in Denmark, where Scanavo is headquartered. They are also manufactured in China and Ohio.

 
Folks should use the collectorsedition.org forums to help keep up with obscure regional releases (including steelbooks). When I was still a part of that rat race, they were a constant source of information and even help with getting a lot of them.

That site and forum is dead. Sometimes weeks go by and nothing gets posted.

 
Amazon Japan has a Links Awakening Steelbook edition up right now. It ships to the US.

EDIT: damn that went fast, already sold out.

Question: when GAME.co.uk cancelled all those American Daemon X Machina orders, everyone here actually had there's cancelled? I remember some saying the email said it was cancelled but their order was still active.

Just asking because I checked out as a guest and I really don't feel like emailing to see if my order is actually cancelled, because I ordered it from Amazon. Just want to make sure they are all actually cancelled.

So i finally grabbed a limited edition of Zelda's link Awakening , but the shipping date is January 20 to 25 of 2020, do you think is a placeholder date, or from your amazon.it experience do they ship this late
