maybe when I'm half asleep and half drunk :p seriously, this new costume I unlocked for her will make it impossible for me to lose. you'll press buttons, but kasumi won't even move.
 
So anyone here looking forward to DoAX2? I am... I know Itagaki has stated that based off you're DoA4 gamesave, DoAX2 will have alot more unlocked or whatever.

:lol: IMHO Ninja Gaiden was a super Team Ninja game, but DOAXBV was always my favorite since it was such a unique game.
 
the DoA4 online set up has a marketplace thing that's sord of like the stores in XBV-- there are different items every time you go and you can dress up characters and everything.


I would trade it for Kokoro's kimono costume and fixed hair clipping/physics in a second, but it's kinda cool.

Honestly, I'm just hoping that Itagaki will add gameplay to this one. If it's entertaining and there's a lot to do like there should've been in the first game, then hell yes. And it depends on how many outfits Kasumi gets.

Good luck on getting an SS rank achievment. 145,000 DoA points will take forever. even A+ to S is 45,000 in its self.
 
Do most characters have a throw now for going down steps? Cause I was practicing as Tina in one of the stages with stairs and did a forward forward throw at the steps and she definitely did a boston crab and rode down the stairs on her opponent's back. So I'm wondering if there's more of these throws in the game?

yes. Like bass would run down the steps with the opponent in like the razors edge and near the bottom of the steps he would jump up high and finish the razor edge mid air. Jan Lee will grab the opponent in a head lock do a bull dog dragging the persons face while sliding down stairs(Looked really funny knowing it had to hurt face first).

yep, those are slope moves. they rarely happen but are very cool.


hope to have some time to play this again soon...stupid summer school and life keep getting in the way of my gaming >_< !!!

Yep, I've been on it all day, unlocking characters, costumes, and achievements.

So far I've unlocked everyone except Tengu, and I'm a little more than halfway there to that, and I've gotten a ton of costumes with everyone.

I've also done exercise mode with everyone so far too, even Hayate and that crazy Raijin throw. I *will* have that tatami stage since it is awesome, no walls no gimmicks just straight up fighting in vs.

I really do need to get all of that stuff. I love getting the achievements, costumes, and characters, but I'm at a point with that game where the only thing that doesn't piss me off is playing online.

Even still, it's the one 360 game that I can come back to often and probably will keep coming back to in the future.

I hear ya... the only way I can do time attack is if it's set to one round so I can blow through it quickly. The single player portion of this game sucks... the AI is unbalanced, it fucking reads the controller, and Alpha 152 is the worst boss character ever created.

I just finished getting all the costumes for Christie, Bass, and Hayate... I think I'll do Jann Lee before I go to bed.
 
Screw it, I went all out before bed and got the rest of the costumes for Jann Lee, Ryu, and Eliot.

Time to move onto some C5's tommorrow.
 
Is there anyway I can see how many hours I've put into this game? I would imagine there is since there are playtime-based achievements. I'm guessing I'm somewhere around 20 hours.

Unfortunately, there's not. Sucks, but that's how it goes. Just play, have fun, and be surprised when it finally clicks over. :)
 
This game pisses me off so badly on single player. Is there a master list of how to unlock everything? All I seem to get are costumes.

Tiers typically don't make too much of a difference unless you're playing high level competition. Even then, there's almost always ways to compensate for a character's weaknesses.

True, well I have been practicing more now, so I shouldn't be one of the CAG punching bags on the game anymore (although I do always come through when the other person is really banking on a win :cool:).

Seriously. Brad Wong has some killer fake-outs and combos. He had the best lucid feel out of the bunch.

The only thing I hated about playing as Wong was when I'd be lying on the ground, the opponent could some how high-punch / high-kick me, still; used to piss me off. There were some other inconsistencies in the game, like that, but that one used to turn my face red.

the best is doing a low throw to him while he's on the ground. people get soooo heated by that :lol: on the other hand, catching them with his lay-down throw before they get a chance to throw is even better.

Wait, you can throw Brad while he's on the ground? I had no idea...

I need to start practicing with Brad again though... I used to be pretty good with him back when DOA 3 first came out but then Ultimate came out and I completely forgot how to use him.

Sent out a request again today. I removed you from the my list when you got rid of your 360 for maintenance and I did not know when you where planning on picking one up again.

Anyone else not on my list send a request. I love to get my rank up to A and get that achievement.

I am not the greatest at the game and could use some extra practice as well since I have not played it in a while.

I called my bank and they told me my check won't show up on my account till midnight, so I'll have to wait until tommorow to play. Oh well...
 
I really love the unpredictable characters (even though they're mostly predictable when I use them) like Zack and La Mariposa (if some couldn't already tell).I've been messing around with Christie lately and I really like her as well.

For the amount of time I've put into this game, I'm really surprised I can't remember all of the character's names or actually played as them more than once.
