Official Doa 4 thread...

I played this for the first time online a couple of nights ago with Cheapy and another CAG (sorry, I can't remember who). I put up an impressive 1 win and 10 losses and then everyone quit due to my awesomeness.

just started playing this game online 2 days ago. for some reason it rekindled my liking of the game.

I stopped playing it a while back since I was getting frustrated with the AI. Decided to go back now and TRY to unlock all the costumes. I still have half of them to unlock :(

anyone have tips for playing as Christie? I have one of her basic juggles down, and working on another.
 
Ok I just started playing this game and have beaten the story mode with three characters, but for some reason the Story Mode Achievement is still locked. What the fuck is going on?

You need to use default settings only, I think.
 
It is on Default, I went to the options page and clicked on it twice to make sure, could it be anything else?
 
Nope that didn't help. It can't be the game because my brother is playing the same copy on his account and has unlocked that achievement. Maybe I should delete my file and start again because I just beat story mode with Elliot and did not got the Gen Fu achievement.
 
Shit well I deleted my save, started a new game, beat the story with Hayabusa and NOTHING. Guess I gotta call Msoft or something.
 
I have a love/hate relationship with this game online.

At first it was just with random hints of lag, depending on who was playing/hosting the game.

Now I have run into my first, annoying shit talker. I went 12 straight wins, until I finally lost to a C ranked opponent. The guy acted like he won the lottery and ran his mouth about how much of a "cheater" I am.

Chacrana and JimFoley have both played against me, is it REALLY that hard to figure out my Christie play?

Wish there was a way to mute people you don't want to hear and still have in game music/effects

ah yes, the "you cheat" people. The first few weeks this game was out, doing any type of combo or tactic was considered cheap. It's like you had to play like an idiot or else...

To mute people, hit the guide button, go to personal settings, or wherever the mic settings are, and turn down the volume completely. that's the only way I know.

Yes, it's that hard to figure out. I know what you're going to do, but I can't do a damn thing about it because I'm incompetant.

Anyway, we've gotta play some other time. It's fun against people who don't say "you cheeting faggit!" every time you win or counter or do anything.

What can I say, I'm a combo/juggle/stun whore with Christie. Doesn't help that I only play as her, even though I'm trying to get more comfortable playing Helena

I really liked playing against you and JimFoley. Probably the most fun I've had playing DOA4 online. Definitely have to play again sometime.

I'll probably be on XBL after 2pm tomorrow (Friday) and after 8pm Sunday. If anyone wants to play hit me up.

After losing like 1500 points in 5 minutes, I figured out Asian. Completely. Won 9 in a row after that :lol:. Asian, if you've got your mic later, I'll tell you what you can do to improve.

it's great to verse people that don't button-mash, there's actual people that learn the combos on DOA4. the enhanced feminimity is truly overused. it's always noticeable.

oh and chacrana, i don't think its called master chief, probably spartan something and its a female named nicole, because if it were master chief it would mess up a lot of the DOA or Halo storylines. btw, i'm not being a smartass, just as an informative.
 
I say we start some games. I'm pretty bad (played 34 games with Cha-sempai once, went 3-31) but I'm mainly an Ayane user for teh leddies and Hayate for teh dudes.

Survival is so damn hard. I'll just be crushing everyone and then I KO someone, next guy jumps in the ring so that it pins me in a corner, throws a couple combos my way while slamming me into them stupid extra damage causing ropes, and its all over from just one guy. Thats annoying, they should have made it so you reset into the middle of the ring after each KO.


Can anyone tell me how to juggle in Tag team? I think beating Tag Survival would be easier if i could just juggle them and they cant fight back :p

you'll have to be more specific since not all characters play the same.

Im not sure which characters, I know its Ayane and another girl character. I played this one kid, and thats pretty much all he would do is hit me into the air, then juggle me between characters 3 times before i hit the ground.
 
Hey so I am a buddy's house with my 360 and none of guys are unlocked but my video's are so WTF.

And we are going to be playing on online with in the hour. You kids wanna get smashed or what.
