Hey, I got your payment, but it was to my aol PP account, so there were fees. I can refund it when I get home tonight and have access to PP (blocked at work) and you can resend it with existing funds to my personal account, or add a little bit for the fees if you have to use CC funded.

Hey, DV. I'll pay you sometime next week. Right now I'm having a feud with Paypal and my bank (WaMu [Which should really just be Chase now since they pretty much absorbed it even though they said they wouldn't]) over NSF fees.

Seriously. I'm not paying $33 because their stupid system can't figure out how to move one dollar (a fucking dollar!) from my savings account (which had way more than enough to cover the cost) to my checking account. fucking banks are full of shit. I'd ditch them if it weren't for the fact that it's a god damn necessity to have if you plan to do bussiness in the US.
 
Hmm - surprised they're fighting you Shady - I got hit w/3 overdraft fees a while ago - called BoA and they reversed all of them as well as struck that fact that we had ever overdrafted from the record.

Told them I thought I had implemented overdraft protection between my two accts but apparently it was an old account w/them I was thinking of so they went ahead and set that up for me as well.

On a similar note - not many people know but you can tell your bank not to ever accept any overdrafts and just let the check/payment bounce or be denied thus avoiding bank fees but potentially incurring fees from merchants.

Dv8 - Wanted to make sure I didn't get anything wrong - my payment wasn't one of the problematic ones was it? I'll go dig through my paypal to be sure
 
WaMu is a shitty bank and now they're crumbling because of it. They don't offer overdraft protection (not for free anyway) and they don't do non-overdraft accounts. I tried a year ago and they told me they can set it to zero but it can still overdraft.

As for denying checks, they charge NSF fees if the check bounces or there isn't enough money in the account when you try to make a transaction. I guess what I'm trying to say is don't go to WaMu, and I need a new bank.

OK, so i feel pretty retarded, but I can't seem to find your paypal address. Haha, I know its gotta be here somewhere cause everyone is paying, but I must be missing it somehow. If anyone knows it or if you see this dv8mad, can you post it one more time for me? haha...its prolly like plastered on the front page somewhere too. I'll be happy to pay once I got it so that i can haha.

Speaking of WaMu fees, I got slapped with a $10 "Excessive Activity" fee a few months back because I transfered cash from my savings to checking one too many times. I tried emailing customer support, twice, hoping to explain to them that this was a one time thing, and the only reason that there was the excessive activity was because I had been sick during that period and there was a flury of doctors bills and medicine to be bought. Of course, as carring as WaMu is, each time I got a generic reply with "We did not find any errors in your account" Of course, I tried to do find another bank, but I kinda gave up after doing some research, and finding out many other banks practice the same policy.

Anyways, I hope you understand why I havent paid yet, keep me updated on that search. ;)

Edit: Just read your other post. Would it be cheaper to do a seperate shipment then, or would combined shipping still be cheaper? Assuming 500yen is the equivilent of about $5, I wouldnt mind two or three issues depending on weight and shipping.

No kidding. I over drafted by $3 once and got hit by a $20 fee. Called up customer service and just told them it wouldn't happen again they didn't even wait until I finished explaining. Lady just said, ok charges reversed.

Local banks are awesome. It's a bigger plus if you can get into a military one from a family member, everyone is trained to treat members well because they are military. They offer so many benefits it's not even funny :drool:. For December every year, they offer to move car payments over one month, no charge, so you have extra spending money. I get 10 cents for any purchase I make (aka 10% cash back if I only buy gum, 8% for a newspaper, and that means it's better than 1% back as long as the purchase is under $10).

I love my bank. I tried Chase out for the free $100 and they can go suck a :bomb:.

Inb4 mods delete posts.
 
I am glad some many people have no clue about banking.

Just hope your local bank doesnt go under...would suck to have your money frozen...or better yet...bought out by one of the bigger banks :)

Should cut your banking so close, and you wouldnt have to worry about NSF fees!

Also, look into overdraft protection...its good for you.

Combined shipping is pretty much always cheaper. The curve is huge near the bottom, but not so much as you go up.

For all the rest of you trying to PM me, I'm doing my best to sort through and get rid of what I don't need. Unfortunately all the lingering trades and the fact that I had over 40 lowball winners filled it up FAST!

New rule suggestion for lowball sales - Don't bid unless you have the money in hand or within a week at most. Special permission for an extension may be given in the sale itself or to an individual. Exceptions like Shady's case can of course be excused since it's not his fault.
