True, but quantity still plays a factor. Sure if your sale kicks ass (I think mine would kick a moderate amount of ass) everyone will be watching, but if someone is keeping tabs on like 4 sales, yours might get as much attention as it would've.

Plus, I have college-related shit to worry about, so I'm not in any huge rush to get a sale going

yeah but people are already keeping tabs on 4 auctions. If its an item that they are really pushing for...im sure enough they can pay attention to one more. Sum41rocks is a great example of that. That guy has bidded on one or more items in most of those auctions and has kept up with the items he wants. It's not too hard for buyers to click, search the list, and put down a bid. I am sure enough yours would do well too. plus with the DV8Mad seal of approval, it will get just as much exposure.

We all have crap going on in our lives but understood if your busy. College work for me also is getting hectic also so i definitely feel ya on that.
 
Well actually, it sounds like the new format of lowball auctions is in "beta testing" right now, so you may want to hold off.
From the way he makes it sound, I don't think people will want to do dv8mad lowball sales anymore.
Most of you will probably be switching over to his format instead.

Anyway, it was fun while it lasted. I'll be keeping the auctions currently running updated for another week or two probably.

After that, I imagine most everyone will have jumped ship.

EDIT FOR FURTHER BELOW: I wasn't trying to spill the beans goomba. I am also not unhappy, I just don't want people to start setting up a lot of dv8mad lowball sales a week or two from now and then feel bad that they didn't use the goomba lowball instead.
I just want people to think about holding off if they have something set up for further than a week or two from now.

ahhh.... quite frankly I like the current format. updating things ourselves is fun.
I guess we'll see how it goes. I am still leaning towards the current style dv8 sales. Changes like this takes away the fun that current system brings, like the chances of getting something cheap drops (referring to ebay).

*Wah* Don't say that dv8mad :( I told you, my intentions are not at all to steal away your thunder or to kill off the awesome system you have in place right now! Again, I have no idea if people will like my system or not, but I thought it'd help streamline things and help CAGs keep better track of what is for sale and who is highest bidder.

I don't wanna split the community or anything!
 
Dinobot, what dv8mad is referring to is my "top secret" project to create an automated Lowball system. I'm 99% done (I already have BETA testers and I'm planning to release the system to the public in two weeks from now when I launch my next lowball sale). dv8mad is worried though that people will like my system so much that they'll leave the current all-in-forum-thread-bidding system. I thought he'd really like the idea but now I feel bad because I don't want to be viewed as a usurper of lowball auctions :( That was not at all my intention. I just wanted to put my programming skills to good use and come up with something that would be the natural progression of the sales system :( *Pouts*

Aww i'm not a great CAG.

I probably wouldn't end up spending $70 for it, seems too high for me (i know it's not cuz of you, it's just retail). I'll end settling for just the NA blu-ray (although it's $27, so i save $43 :p)

Question, that list you have going on isn't actually ranking your friends, is it? Some people are fighting more and more for your friendship just to rank higher y'know. Dunno if you're aware of it, but behind the scenes it's happening.

Also, if Mark wants the FFXIII, think you could just sell it to him in my place? Just pretend you're selling it to me.

Im with distgfx and dinobot. you can throw me in as mark as well. I have no interest in it since i dont own a blu ray player yet and i bet the demo is PS 3..which i also dont own as well.

I realize it's alphabetized, but to have Great, Top Tier and Godly seems like a separation of friends. I'm not trying to be mean but it's caused some people to actually work just to earn dv8's friendship when something like that should just come naturally. I'm not saying it is a friendship list, but a lot of the people I talk to act like it is. I just feel bad for them, that's all.

The list is not a friend's list. There are some people on there that I rarely, if ever, speak to. Promotions/demotions are made for specific reasons including, not only their interactions with me, but other things around CAG as well. I spell it out a bit in the ratings explanations. However, that being said, there is no reason for anyone to "fight over" who will be in what position because there is no finite number of positions available and again, they don't know the requirements. As for the Godly CAG list, it's the only one that is specifically vague for a reason. It's also there to tell me who I have to make things up to if I ever win the lottery.

As for the people that want to buy FF:AC, some of you were a little ambiguous... If you want to edit a portion of your post to "I WANT THE FF:AC blu-ray" that would be great!

Sum41 - I don't know if I got payment. I forgot my phone yet again today... I'll find out after I get home. However, paying the money that you owe from the lowball sale is not a way to get on the list. Sorry, but it's just doing what you are supposed to be doing.
But don't forget, dv8mad is like Santa Claus, he is always watching and he's also make-believe.

Ok then, there's some people on there you don't know and felt they deserved to be held in high regard, fail enough. What about the friends you have on that list there? How do they see it? Imagine, two people are just as close of friends to you and then one sees themselves as a great CAG and the other under Godly. What are they most likely to take this as? It's like... not even your own friends are allowed to speak their mind without getting demoted.

Actually, know what, it's been a bad day, I think I'll just drop it and leave it alone since my opinion won't change anything. If you care enough about the subject, feel free to PM me and we can pick it up from there.
