Hi everyone! I'm a recently-joined CAG who'd like to get into this clan. I've been playing since the week Halo 2 came out, but usually in public games. Could I be invited? I usually play in the evenings after work (sometime after 6pm EST). My GamerTag is JesterOZ.

Tomorrow isn't necessarily "practice." Staff players will be leading teams of 4 into matchmaking for some Team Slayer and Team Skirmish. Then, on Thursday, the most consistent players will join together for some clan matches.[/quote]

welcome to the clan and all, and you're obviously a good player based on tonight, but jimmie is the one guy you don't wanna start shit with. yes, he somehow had a good five betrayals that round (myself included), but he's a good player, and probably the best communicator in the clan (not to mention one of the elite). sorry, just felt like i had to defend his honor and prevent more arguments from springing up in the thread.

i've read the first and last pages of this thread and didn't see anything about XboxConnect. fortunately/unfortunately i can't log on to XBL cause...you know. it sucks playing with ppl that are not team players and don't communicate strategy. so that's why i'm asking if there's a CAG Clan on XBC. if so, i would greatly appreciate an audition.

Hey guys, sorry about last night. I know you guys were sending me invites but my brother is home from college and he was playing. He has precedence over me so I couldn't just kick him off. I will be able to make some of Tuesday's practices when my brother goes home in a week or so.

Jimmie's a heck of a good player, an even better communicator and one guy who knows how to get the troops motivated, one way or the other. He's a guy I'm much happier is on my side than against it. And yes, he's damn funny to hear on the mic, no question there. :D

Accidents happen, I'm guilty of them myself, and pointing that out doesn't do anyone any good. Everyone tries to avoid them at all costs, and sometimes, with lag that shifts things around just enough, you end up doing things like sticking Ledhed with a plasma grenade on his left ear, for example. When he's on your team, that is.

And one last thing. Here's the "damn, we're tired of carrying you in games, Arikado" award for his work in this game, where he gets only 50 :shock: :shock: kills in this game-to-100 Team Slayer game:

JimmieMac is a Halo 2 icon. Everything Rock just said is true. Jimmie is on of the best players around here. Very deadly with a shoty and communicates very very well. Probably the funniest player on Halo 2. It should be a privaledge to play with him lol. JK Also betrayals are bound to happen during a game so you'll just have to learn how to deal with it or saty away from him lol. But glad to have you in the clan Girion, your a pretty decent player.

to keep your low rank on the extra gamertag, couldn't you just quit the game at the last minute when a victory for the lower ranked CAG is in the bag. rejoin after the victory, rinse and repeat.

would that keep you from leveling?

It was evened out at four teams of three until someone showed up and went to the RED team when they joined the room. As if he really needed the help?

Hey, we did to 4-on-9 lopsided Team Slayer on Monday. I'd be happy to see him do 1-on-4 or 1-on-5. Maybe we should try that sometime. Or 1-on-7? :rofl:
 
I was in no way trying to start anything. i guess I should have included a smiley. I thought the betrayals were funny just because they happened at the weirdest times.

Keep laughing; he'd do it. Hell, he'd do 1-on-15 if you asked him. That's part of why he's the player he is; absolute and unwavering confidence in his abilities, regardless of the odds. You should see him at LANs; if you think he's scary now, wait until you're sitting a mere 6 feet from him. Emotions run high. Halo is what this kid does.

I'm laughing because I've seen him play, with me and against me, and I have to agree with you 100% on that. I know I have more confidence in my abilites of recent (thanks to you rock for the compliment last night in the Team Slayer game), though I'm not unwavering. Yet. :D I can only imagine what LAN play must be like with the two of you in the same room. :shock:

I'd be game for 2-on-14, depending on the map. Coag? *looks for his Ghost around somewhere* Or 3-on-13, with you, zewone or ryan, and Arikado.

is your rank affected if you quit a matchmaking game towards the end? it seems like if it is not affected then you'd have a LOT of quitters in games like the third round of CTF when the score is 1-0 and the team that up by one is on offense for the last round...all to avoid getting "demoted"

It seems that everyone on defense would quit due to:
no chance of winning
losing means possible rank reduction

thankfully i don't encounter that many quitters, but i mostly stick with CAG and other honest gamers when i'm on...

I think there are degrees of losing. Quitting gives you the worst possible kind of loss while if you lose and do well I don't think it downgrades your rank as much

Play big team battle by yourself just once. As you well know, I had a old tag (Harmakhet)...but I leveled from 1-4 the night I got the game until 4am in the morning. So I played with all the hardcores, and never played the jackasses.

Now, when I reset my name to "NarnianCrusader" I when straight to Big Team Battle, and OMG....

It was like someone took madness and mayhem and put it in a bottle and shook it and sprayed it on the big team battle match I was playing.

MASS CARNAGE....people were Tking the second out the gate, and all the vehicles were blown up in less than 5 seconds. It was insane, everyone was screaming....and shooting they're own teammates and throwing stickys in the air and trying to catch it on themselves....

Shit was madness....So, play it once...you'll laugh. And you may never play Halo 2 again.

no, there's no XBC CAG clan, only Live. i don't understand though - being part of a clan helps you avoid all the douches and lack of team strategy, whether you're on Live or XBC. it seems you're implying that a Live clan would lack those things, in which case you'd be incorrect. or maybe i just don't understand your question. you're welcome to join our Live clan, we always have great games together.
