If you get some good sliders the Homerun frequency and other problems are fixed rather easily. I'm playing with some sliders from operation sports and tweaked them as I went and I get a very realistic experience.

just playing the full game for the first time...

wow not bad at all..

i suck ass at swinging though.. theyve stuck me out like 15 times.. 1-1 in the top of the 14th... fuck

how do i go about getting those rosters? are their classic teams in this game?

edit- hit a homer in the bottom of the 18th and won! lol

do the sliders take affect in simmed games as well. I have noticed that I am 6 games into my franchise. I'm leading in HR's with soriano he has 8, but there are a bunch of guys around 5 and 6 HR's. Which means that they too are hitting homeruns like crazy. Pretty much averaging 1 a game. So if I change the sliders do they have any affect on all the simmed CPU games?
im looking on that site and dont see rosters anywhere?

are they burried within the forums?
Did you try clicking my link in my post up above? The forums have a board dedicated to the game.

wow didnt notice link.. thanks

Well, I started my franchise.....still busted, but it's ok.

Basically, the fatigue is screwed up still. Schedule went like this:
Game -> Off -> Game -> Game ->

100% fatigue (of course) -> Off -> 97% fatigue -> back to 100% fatigue -> 97% again.

BAsically, the day off fatigue was like a day late. Kinda wierd. Annoying as I believe it was the same way last year too.....
Can you switch from stick to classic batting in online ranked games?
Was just about to ask the same question. Have played about 12 games offline and was wondering about this. Can u switch these around in ranked or not ranked games ?

What is the best deal on this game right now? Do they still have the $5 off coupons attached to Best Buy gift cards? I haven't seen any other deals.

EDIT: Sorry, I should have searched first. If anyone is interested, I found the game for $48.99 at Fry's in Duluth, GA. I'm heading up there now to pick it up. Thanks, CAGs!

You also get a $10 giftcard with it at Circuit City this week, same difference pretty much.
anyone know if stadium beats works with custom songs? its pretty pointless if it doesnt
I don't think it does. Well, I say that and I stream my songs. Perhaps if they were loaded on the HDD, but I can't say for sure.

Game kicks ass once you fix the rosters and I'm sure there will be a sliders update with the first roster. I love the 360 in this manner.

Has anyone noticed any weird throwing glitches?
I turned off the throwing assist option, and earlier today, I rn into a weird glitch. Groundball to my 2nd baseman runner on first. I pressed Y to start the double play. He made an underhand motion to second, but the ball went into a high ass arc backwards toward firstbase. In other words, the animation was towards 2nd but the ball went to first.

This game is making me buy VGA cables tonight.. this will look amazing on my monitor, I can't wait to see it. Gonna rent this game and get VGA cables.. and tomorrow and Wednesday, waste away and play 360 all day.

god bless spring break

The game has glitches....I haven't seen that one yet, but others come to mind.

Talk about glitches, I was playing my brother. He hit a base hit to right he had a guy on 2nd. He tried to go home i threw it and he tried to run down my catcher. My catcher held on and the ump called him out. Yet the game did not record the out. It did not even record the run. I guess it just forgot about it.

The answer is you can. But with the small bit of lag making it so hard to hit and people being pricish with their pitching I only play offline right now

Upon futher review I must say I am starting to not like this game nearly as much. Playing against my friends is fun but it sucks that the franchise mode is busted. The cpu makes ridiculous trades and sets up horrible lineups. Also, If you seem ahead the free agent list is ridiculous. I still say the game is fun but I have recently had some very agravating glitches happen to me i.e. the catcher not tagging the runner for an out, outs not counting, occasional freezing, and the camera not allowing me to see my guy on certain occasions. All in all I think its a decent game and it will hold me over until the show comes out for ps3.
who's got a perfect game?

I got mine last night with Jason Marquis.
I got mine with Chris Young on his second start of the season. I think he got something like 16 strikeouts that game as well.

are you guys using sliders to do that? I play on either all star or legend and the cpu is always jacking homers off me. I am still able to win the game but no way near a perfect game.
who's got a perfect game?

I got one in my Phillies franchise with Adam Eaton, legit. Poor fella had a grand total of 1 % sta left.

Are you thowing every pitch at max effort? I threw a 2H CG SHO with Sheets and still had 20% something left and threw another CG with Dave Bush and had nearly 30% left.

I looked through the thread, but wasn't able to find anything about this, so I'll ask.

Is there any way to change the camera for batting? I absolutely hate it.

The only thing I remember seeing is being able to adjust the zoom. No other angles that I'm aware of.

what other views could there possibly be?

And I got my perfect game on all-star, with no sliders in use. I was playing the ice cold pirates so that helped my odds. I had about 15% stamina left.

I only throw at anything over low effort when it counts (like when i've got a 1-2 count to Beltran or something), it just happened that he struck out alot of guys and Eaton has really low stamina for a starter in the game. Plus it was a day game, which so far seems to mean that pitchers get tired out faster. I came out the next game and took one into the 7th with Hamels, he went 9, struck out 15 and still had like 20 % stamina left, it was during a night game =p

This isn't the glitch I was talking about earlier, but this is an example:

I had a no hitter going with Andrew Miller (DET) of all people, and my 1B throws the ball away when trying to flip to the pitcher. They called it a HIT!!!!! This happened twice....damn, there went my achievement. Oh well, I'll get it eventually, then I'll bump up the difficulty.

Also, the cpu pitcher hit me, then Sheff goes DEEP. The pitcher is ONLY charged ONE earned run. I believe it should be two.

Oh well, little glitches, still enjoying the game after the initial loathing period.

Yeah, I'm late to the party but I just bought MLB 2k7 (was waiting on a deal, plus school is almost over and I didn't want to disrupt all the schoolwork that every class teacher piles on around Spring Break).

I heard all about this signature style stuff. I use the Phillies and I have never once seen Ryan Howard do that bat thing he does in real life before the pitcher gets ready to windup (he holds his bat out in front of him). Is it just that you cannot see it if you are the batter, or did they just leave his thing out of the game? I've seen a few already, like Willis doing his high leg windup and Nomar's batting gloves adjustment, but that's all I've really seen in my few games played.

IIRC Ryan Holds his bat out like in real life, just don't hit any buttons. He does it during the little cutscene of him stepping in the batters box.

Old, but official thread, so I'm bumping it.

2k just put out a new update, and I must say, it's awesome. They added a new camera angle called the "Pole Angle" and it makes the fielding much easier and much more enjoyable. It makes the game a TON better, at least to me.

They also fixed the lighting glitch, now if a game starts at 6 or 7 it will start in the light and end in the dark, not get lighter out as the game goes on.

They fixed a lot of other things as well, like some stats glitches (Base on Balls wouldn't count as a run, ERA glitches). They seemed to have toned down the power and wall grab catches, as well as the cannon arms (were fixed somewhat by sliders, but now it looks better).

They also put out a roster update, They added Dice-K's face photo, signature style pitch, and updated everyone else.

If you haven't downloaded it yet, go do it now. It's like a brand new game to me with the new Pole Angle camera. You can see where Homeruns land, see where the ball will carem off the wall.

There have been some problems with people saving the rosters with the new update, so I guess beware of that. Hasn't happened to me yet.

Edit- Here's a list of some of the things fixed.

- Classic stadium: is not offered at the moment - but many classic stadiums will arrive soon in marketplace.
- Slider saving glitch: has been fixed.
- Offline/Online Fielding Camera added: - Broadcast or Pole.
- ERA saving bug:whistle2: So far some very postive member results posted that the franchise ERA works properly
- Player Highlights time of day glitch: Exhibition mode the time clock is fixed and players get the highlight treatment.
How do I climb the wall to steal a homerun? I usually end up diving head first into the wall.
Wait til a little icon comes up that tells you to hit the stick up. I usually hit it right when I see it. It's not the easiest thing in the world to do.

don't just hit the stick up though, make sure you hold it up. my friends have the tendency to flick it up not realizing you're supposed to hold it.

Its so funny how much Kush sucks as a developer. They put out a patch to fix a bunch of things...Its works, but then they release rosters that when you d/l them they dont allow you to save any more. Basically dont bother editing the 08-02 roster b/c you wont be able to save it. I even tried clearing my casche

Huh? I edited and saved mine just fine. They had Ron Mahay as some other name. Even restarted my franchise.

Have you made a lot of edits though. Try and edit a team and then go and save. I can save for a few players but after I have edited about 6 or 7 people the game says no valid storage device. Please insert one an try again....Kush is know for this kind of crap. Wvery year its the same thing. Bugs and Glitches beyond belief. Then it takes them 4 months to do something and their updates usually break something else. I wish Ea was still making baseball games as well

Haven't tried a bunch of people, they got the last roster update pretty good. Except for the random ass minor leaguers, but most of them you'll never see anyways.
