Just starting a thread for deals for the Playstation VR.

I picked up the Core bundle off Amazon and I'm looking for a cheap camera and move controllers.

I found that best buy has some cheap playstation 4 cameras on sale for 39.99 with free shipping.

If you all know any good deals for move controllers or launch games, let me know.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PS VR) $15.99 via Amazon (Prime Price). https://www.amazon.c...heapassgam08-20

Best Buy has a physical version of Job Simulator listed as coming out tomorrow but stores didn't get any and it isn't orderable. :whistle2:k

Great game.  I'd get it on disc if I didn't already have the digital version.

In case anyone is not aware, it's a somewhat cartoonish game that takes place in the future where robots have taken the place of humans and they have a museum where you can mimic jobs that humans used to do (the jobs that we do today).

The jobs include garage mechanic, office worker, convenience store clerk, and restaurant cook.  Each job takes you through a bunch of different scenarios waiting on customers.

It's also fun to just screw around, throwing things at robots, trying to throw things into nearby waste receptacles, and doing other random stuff like photocopying your head.

On the surface, the game sounds kind of boring (a game where you do work), but it's actually pretty fun.

GameStop has it listed for 4/28.

Was planning on picking it up with GCU I hope it shows up tommorow or Friday at least.

Having played Statik for about an hour I can say it's about as good as it could possibly be. I haven't finished it yet but it so far while it has been solving puzzles in the form of boxes covering your hands the story, the graphics, and puzzles themselves have been fantastic. There's no plat and while I can tell the puzzles get harder at a steady clip I imagine it's a 3 hour game. I wanted to support the devs but that said I bet this will be 30% off in the next few months (EU had a 20% off preorder) and at 15 bucks it's absolutely worth it if you liked Portal or other personality laden puzzle games.

If Job Simulator is getting a physical release, I'll go ahead and grab it.
You can thank me for that. I hate buying digital when I can buy physical, but being that Job Simulator has been out for half a year now, I figured there was no possible way it'll get a physical release now, so I bought it from PSN a couple weeks ago when Sony gave out there 20%-off coupon. Like clockwork, a few days later, I see Job Simulator is being released physically. Ya'll are welcome. :(

It seems that Star Trek Bridge Crew's MSRP is dropping to $50. Amazon, Target and GS have it at that price now but it's still $60 at BB and Walmart. :whistle2:k

Have any of you guys played Eagles Flight?

My local gamestop has it used and im thinking of buying it just to try it out.

Thoughts on the game?

I bought it used at GS with a coupon a couple months back, but haven't put enough time into it yet to warrant a fair evaluation. I will say, and this is probably important to alot of people, that I did not feel sick, and it's one of the games where I actually thought I might get sick. It's actually pretty comfortable flying around Paris, and it's cool because it's not modern day Paris but more like a post-apocalyptic version of it, you see animals in the streets and overgrown vegetation, but no people.

Job Simulator retail disc never came in stock at Best Buy. Target has it for preorder for 5/16, while Newegg shows in stock.

GameStop's site is down so I can't check there at the moment.

Amazon shows it as "In stock on May 4th 2017."

Also, weird is that they aren't offering the 20% off for GCU members on it as of now, which is why I haven't ordered it yet.

I'm not sure where it was $50, but Amazon had it for $60.48 around April 10. I got my order in, but seems to have been out of stock since that day.

I can confirm it never hit 50 for the bundle. 60 and change was as low as it got. I actually pre-ordered it while it was still full MSRP minus the 20% for Prime members but then when it dropped to 60 the price guarantee thing kicked in and Amazon adjusted it down to the lowest it got to. Basically everyone and their Mother jumped onboard when it hit 60 because it went out of stock and stayed out of stock for a long time.

Hmm...Not what I expected. A side scrolling beat em up game is always welcome in my mind, but Im not sure how I feel about the VR implementation. I kinda thought it might be something like fighting zombies in first person, like Arizona Sunshine, but instead it looks like the VR just allows for added angles and viewpoints...It might be unique though, so I'll probably give it a chance.

So, did anyone here pre order and receive / play Summer Lesson VR yet?

If so......How is it? :p
I'm still waiting to hear if anyone got a copy and how it was as well. I waited too long with play-asia as I wanted to see how satisfied I was with getting Parappa from them as a first order. (Was pleasantly surprised)

I gave up hope and ordered a copy off Ebay from LINK having what seemed like the best/cheapest chance to get an actual copy like from play-asia (I.E. No big gaudy yellow rating label). Despite the fact it says shipping from HK, I got shipping confirmation for a USPS label from NJ today. I guess I'll report back when I get it.

Was play asia the only retailer that shocked the english edition? Is this ebay seller just basically reselling copies he got from play asia? No differences? I might get a copy.

I may also get one from that ebay seller. Looks like the game is sold out on Play-Asia, and a Playstation Network card to cover the cost of the digital version is actually $1 more than getting the physical version here lol. (Game costs HK$479, and a HK$500 card costs $69.99 on Play-Asia)

Thanks for the ebay seller reference, fallgecko

I orrdered it myself from that seller after seeing your post. Hopefully shipping doesn't take forever. I browsed the game on the jp psn store and noticed it's not as expensive. I take out that it's because of the bundled dlc, but what's included and what's not?

Time to pull the trigger on getting a psvr now 😁.

I've got a video of Polybius in action for those interested in seeing what a Jeff Minter game in VR is like:

This was great, thanks. I'm really tempted to spring for this despite buying a ton of these sub 20 VR games. I've found games like Bound and Battlezone are almost more immersive since the low poly world can be better realized. My question is, does VR help make the game more fun or easier to play?

For me, it's a better way to ingest the style of a Llamasoft game for the best experience. I don't know about it making it easier to play since Jeff Minter shooters like this tend to revel in being a bit obtuse and weird, so it's all about shooting and trying to avoid obstacles while learning some of the weird mechanics that it throws at you. It should be mostly the same either way.

Arizona Sunshine Hits PlayStation VR in June

A nice tan won't protect you from the undead! But a PS VR Aim Controller might...

Hey everyone, Trevor from Vertigo Games here. Have you ever wanted to step in the midst of a zombie apocalypse as if you were really there? After many awesome reactions from the VR community, everyone here is extremely excited to finally confirm that Arizona Sunshine is coming to PlayStation VR next month with support for the new PS VR Aim controller!

For those of you who haven’t heard of Arizona Sunshine before, it’s a VR shooter that quite literally puts you in the heat of a whole load of zombie action. You get to step into our protagonist’s shoes on a quest to find other survivors across the blistering heat of the post-apocalyptic Arizona desert, all the while battling zombies with whatever gear, ammo, and consumables you loot from your undead enemies or find on your way.

You can freely explore your surroundings using either teleportation or locomotion movement, whichever suits your VR tastes best — there’s no spot-based gameplay to be found here.

We’ve put a lot of work and love into Arizona Sunshine, building and optimizing it for VR from the ground up in order to deliver the game as we had envisioned it — a VR game worthy of being one of the first full-size games in virtual reality. Arizona Sunshine has a campaign that spans eight diverse levels set in treacherous canyons and deep, dark mines. Take on the zombies solo or join forces with a friend in co-op campaign.

And that’s not all! There’s also an infinite game mode that pits you against endless waves of zombies with up to three other players. Nothing is better than having your friends at your back in the apocalypse (Well, except mocking them with gestures within your safe VR environment, of course), but we should probably warn you that more warm brains also means more hungry undead!

Ever since we started developing for VR, we have prototyped a lot of mechanics — and realistic weapon handling is by far our favorite. On PlayStation VR, you can take your first steps into the zombie apocalypse with the use of regular DualShock 4 controllers, but we’re also supporting the PlayStation Move motion controllers and (even more exciting) the newly released PS VR Aim Controller! Handling your weapons with real-life movements truly is a whole different level of immersion.

As for the Aim controller, since the game was initially created with dual-wielding guns in mind, we’ve thoroughly tested ways to get the support for it right. And while using the Aim controller limits you to using a single weapon at a time, it makes up for that by increasing accuracy and control, upping your chances for critical, dismembering hits. That’s right, the fan-favorite zombie mutilation mechanic also made it onto PlayStation VR!

We hope you like Arizona Sunshine as much as we do when it hits PlayStation VR next month. Best of luck to you and your friends and see you at the other side of the apocalypse!

Jeff Minter wrote up a great blog post about the work that went into the VR part of Polybius.

Sid Shuman has a good interview about the PSVR Aim Controller with some of the people that made it. They also mention some of the other PSVR games coming that'll use it and have their thoughts on working with it in their games:

The Brookhaven Experiment

Farpoint

Rom: Extraction

Arizona Sunshine will also be using it.
