Just starting a thread for deals for the Playstation VR.

I picked up the Core bundle off Amazon and I'm looking for a cheap camera and move controllers.

I found that best buy has some cheap playstation 4 cameras on sale for 39.99 with free shipping.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-playstation-camera-for-playstation-4-black/8245153.p?skuId=8245153

If you all know any good deals for move controllers or launch games, let me know.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PS VR) $15.99 via Amazon (Prime Price). https://www.amazon.c...heapassgam08-20

Yeah Astro Bot is pretty sweet.  I only played the first 2 levels but damn that game has so much charm and polish to it.  I do wish you could move "back" and not just forward, but I bet that was by design and they do that so if you miss stuff you can't just stay on the same level looking around everywhere.

I hadn't played PSVR in like 2 months and damn I forgot how hot it gets lol.

Gonna wait a bit before picking up Astro Bot on disc. Practically every PSVR game that gets a physical release ends up going on clearance within a few months. I don't know what that says about PSVR, but it seems like waiting is the right move.
you're gonna regret that when Astro Bot goes OOP and new sealed copies sell for $450 on ebay
I went ahead and ordered a copy for pick-up at Best Buy. I don't know if it will get too much cheaper with how well it is doing critically and it's already pretty cheap. I had the same feelings about Zone of the Enders and picked it up right away too. Astro Bot has me excited to play my PSVR again. I also need to pick up that Firewall Zero Hour game, but that one I can wait for a drop in price at this point.

Astro Bot is a first party game though. When have those ever been hard to find? Sony always seems to trickle out 2 copies for launch and then send 5-6 more to whatever stores sold out.

Yeah, not so much “by” Sony as “for” Sony. It was developed and published by Owlchemy Labs
Yeah, looks like just a mistake on Amazon's part then.

For example, Eagle Flight is "By" Ubisoft:

And Loading Human is "By" Maximum Games:

I also remember when Best Buy had those Sony-published VR titles on sale for $9.99 a year or two ago, Job Simulator was included with them, and I believe it was the only 3rd party title that was so that's likely why I associated Job Simulator with being published by Sony.

Not to mention it's bundled with the VR right now. I got the last copy at my Best Buy, but they will probably get more in.

Just a quick public service reminder:

When the PSVR tells you to make sure the area is clear... triple check.

Playing Creed rise to glory, and I uppercutted a chair. nice 2" gash in my finger

Good game so far, perfect genre for a VR game. And yeah.. it can get your heart-rate up also lol.

Is it weird that this post made me want the game even more?

Creed sounds like it could be a good time, but my problem with physical games like that is the PSVR already makes me hot as it is, so doing exercise while playing it just seems like it would quickly get uncomfortable.  I'd like to try a demo of it though that would be cool.

On the Astro Bot note, I just played the beach level (2-2) and damn, it gave me vibes of going underwater in Mario 64 for the first time.  It's really damn cool.

I figure i'd only play 2-3 fights anyway, after the first fight i decided that lol.

It's funny when you knock the opponent down and you lean over yourself and beg the guy to just stay down.. This is the only VR title that has made me get a little hot like you said, my headset fogged up a few times. Probably because this is the most movement i've ever done in a VR game.. Dodge/block/punch rinse/repeat, all in about 2 seconds or less. :boxing:

and then swing arms when you get knocked down. It does take advantage of all the movement of PSVR thats for sure.

Game plays good, but the fighters appear just a tad closer than they need to be and the stamina system needs work.. 3-4 punches and you are depleted and need to recharge. I get it but it needs to deplete slower.

Borderlands 2 PSVR is coming December 14th for $50. I'm interested in seeing the world in VR, but I've honestly burned out on B2 after 200+ hours between the diff versions.

This reminds me of when Borderlands 2 came to the Vita. It was thought to be a big deal at the time because it was a harbinger that the Vita was coming into stride but it was really the beginning of the end in a way. Maybe that's the same thing here?

Any VR recommendations? I've been looking to get something new for mine. I have RE7,  Farpoint, Doom, Wipeout, Statik, Thumper and all the freebies that came with plus.

Stop what you are doing and go buy Astro Bot: Robot Rescue immediately! I picked it up last week and it's easily one of my favorite games this year and no question my favorite VR game thus far.

yeah, it's not on sale but I've heard nothing but good things about Astro Bot
Same here, after all the praise I had to pick it up last week. This is the first time in a long time I bought a game without really knowing much about it prior to release and it really paid off as it's one of the years best games period, not just in VR. It's a really solid platformer, although a bit by the numbers, but the VR adds a new realm of immersion and joy to the genre. Japan Studio really knocked it out of the park and made the PSVRs killer app.

I've loaded up with enough VR games that I'm thankfully not overwhelmed with stuff I want from the current sale. Definitely getting The American Dream since I've had my eye on that for awhile. Probably that goofy elevator game too.

Anyone played Bow to Blood? Not much of a discount but metacritic reviews are promising.

Did you like Statik? If so you should get I Expect You to Die. It’s a great spy themed escape room type game. One of my favorites.

It was big deal because it was the only announcement that made it sound like Sony was investing at all in the Vita. This is totally different in that TGS and Sony's continued announcements show they are supporting VR with continued development. With Vita, BL2 was the only way a large scale game coming to Vita. With PSVR it's just that games like Firewall, Blood and Truth, etc. are coming much further apart than many would like which is likely based on the overall investment Sony is willing to make at this point.

It does look great but i'll wait for a sale, this is cheap ass gamer after all.

If I understand correctly BL2 will not have Aim support due to the dual wording and vehicle driving aspects of the game, but it will have full locomotion and be compatible with the DS4. Not confirmed, but I want to say I saw it in the midst of all the announcements.

No, you're right, it's confirmed via the blog tha teleport works with move and dual wielding and free locomotion works with DS4. No aim, co-op or apparently DLC support. I never played it but if it's as great as everyone says I'd hope they would offer the DLC or at least let saves translate, which sounds super unlikely considering this version is customized.

Wow this sale has a lot of VR games I want. Going to be hard to not spend a good bit this week. Had a lot of these on my wishlist from comments you guys have made over the past months.

It does look great but i'll wait for a sale, this is cheap ass gamer after all.
Nothing wrong with waiting, but it is only a $40 MSRP and with GCU it's a pretty decent deal. They did bundle it with VR along with Moss though so copies will be out there (unless the bundle includes digital copies). I've heard the physical copies of Astro Bot are getting hard to get already though as most stores seemed to get a couple of copies at best. I picked up the last one at my local Best Buy and they have yet to restock it.

Astro Bot is also getting a demo, so I definitely recommend giving it a try once that is out.

There is already pretty much a demo for Astro Bot on the Playroom VR free download. I don't know if that level is in the final game or not though.

I just scrolled down my wishlist and there is a whopping 20 games I want on sale, but sadly the prices aren't that groundbreaking. Still, I will be picking up a couple of essentials, including that Kona VR add-on for $2.99, Torn for 20% off (we're never getting another one of those coupons again, are we?) and horror games 18 Floors and The Walker for my Halloween marathon.

The last two episodes of The Exorcist: Legion VR were released today, but sadly no sign of a sale for the complete season. I really really want to play those.

Job Simulator dropped to $13.99 and now I'm scared because I still haven't played my physical GameStop copy and I'm afraid the value will have dropped significantly before I am able to sell.

I really want that Astro Bot game everyone is harping on about here, but $40 seems like way too much for VR. And yet, I'm fearing it will turn into another Job Simulator botch job quite quickly. I'm stressed out.

Historically, on psprices.com, mid-October seems to be when a lot of stuff I want goes on sale. I suspect a good non-VR sale will be coming 'round the corner soon.

As far as I know the most recent 20% codes were packaged with the spiderman pro consoles. I'm saving mine for the BF week sales. There were none with the Million LE's. I'd say odds are good for new ones going in the RDR2 pro bundle. Unsure of we will see more given away for free by means of weekly email promo or ps live rewards.

There are a shit-ton of games on my wishlist on sale but I don't have PlayStation Plus.

Does anyone happen to have a trial code that they don't plan on using?  I could really use it right now.

Damn, any specifics? Is it just the usual "too short" complaint or is it shitty in other ways? I know they'll eventually drop further, but it's the first time they've ever been on sale. Maybe I'll just stick with Torn and Transference instead now that I've secured a 20% off code.

Haven't started DBD or F13 yet. This happens every year, but I bit off more than I could chew. I started too late and I've been spreading myself thin between mediums. I've also been misjudging how long certain things will take. I'll definitely get to those two, RE7, and a few others on my list before the month is through.
