Just starting a thread for deals for the Playstation VR.

I picked up the Core bundle off Amazon and I'm looking for a cheap camera and move controllers.

I found that best buy has some cheap playstation 4 cameras on sale for 39.99 with free shipping.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-playstation-camera-for-playstation-4-black/8245153.p?skuId=8245153

If you all know any good deals for move controllers or launch games, let me know.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PS VR) $15.99 via Amazon (Prime Price). https://www.amazon.c...heapassgam08-20

Sprint Vector definitely has a single player mode. I've only played the beginner tutorial and first race so far so I can't say much beyond that. Haven't tried online yet either.

I mainly got it so I can get a bit of exercise while I game. :)
That's the reason why I got it too.

That also explains why I haven't played it yet. Like that expired gym membership. :p
If you want exercise with your VR, play Beat Saber on hard or expert. I had to wear a bandanna to keep my headset from getting gross.

My aim controller from GS came the other day and I jumped on Farpoint with the holiday sale. Movement/turning is taking some getting used to as I made myself queasy with one particular turn I made. Just in a hey don't do that again way. Seeing the gunsight always active is nice instead of only when you raise the gun. So far I've died a lot to the big charging bugs, right after the shotgun grenades because I get overwhelmed by the little ones and I can't move well enough.

Looking for any other games that would be recommended for PSVR, but stipulations:

1) I already own a Rift, controllers, and PC capable of it all

2) I have RE7, Doom VFR, Tetris, Astrobot, Wipeout, and Statik

Any other games worth picking up on the PS4?

That first quick turn when your stomach says “WTF was that?” 😄

the $89 bundle deal at QVC from https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/369044-qvc-ps4-vr-bundle-8996/ is still live fyi, it's been going back in stock all day for whatever reason. Whether QVC will fill them, who knows, but if you really want to take the gamble, keep trying
Been all day and no cancel notice but im thinking if they do come out it wont be until tomorrow with regular business hours... they already charged me though so fingers still crossed

Anyone here have both the HTC Vive and PSVR?  I am wondering how big of a difference it is in terms of tracking and frame rate between the two.  I have Vive but not PSVR but there are a lot of PS4 exclusives for PSVR along with the nice bundle deals that are making me consider it.

I wonder how Moss is sold out at best buy. I can’t imagine it being out of print since it’s a current free bundled game. I’ve been waiting for it to be $20 or even less with gcu.

A lot of people want a physical copy since the bundle comes with digital copy.

Any opinions on the Aim Controller for VR? Just got Arizona Sunshine and would like to get one depending on how well it performs.
A lot of people love it, myself included. It tracks about as well as the move controllers and ds4, which is not perfect, but pretty good. It, to me, is just the right size and weight to feel really satisfying. And while in VR my experience has been that the guns tend to map really well to the controller, leading to increased immersion

I may be an outlier but I've had a hard time having my aim controller track very well. It seems to jump/drift around a bit and, in Farpoint (the only game I've used the Aim Controller), I feel like I have to recalibrate quite often. It could be my camera setup and such, but I haven't had any such issue with the DS4 or Move controllers. That being said, I agree, the feel/weight of it is spot on.

Check lights in the room. If I turn one light on... the glare on the cause the camera to go nuts with tracking. I've had it set up at my parents and I have to make sure a lamp nearby isn't on either.

It probably shouldn't be an issue, but it's probably the perfect "worst case scenario" where I set my TV up lol.

AIM is amazing. Blowing bugs away with the shotgun in farpoint was a highpoint in gaming for me. Actually looking down sights in a game? fantastic.

Tracking was perfect for me except for an hour that might've involved the change in ambient light or something. If it drifts you just shake the gun and it recenters.

It looks like a lot of the orders are being canceled. Qvc says it was a shortage and can't get more but they are still on sale for $350

The Responsibility Update is just more trolling bullshit from the devs. You're supposed to take care of a plant during Christmas break but the watering can is empty. I guess if you check in every day, you'll see the plant in various states of disrepair.

Is Accounting Plus worth getting?
It's worth getting if you're a comedy fan and enjoy irreverent games (like Jazzpunk). It's fun and it won't take you long to beat. However, there's an evil undercurrent that runs through the game which is chronicled in this recent Game Theory video (spoilers, obviously).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2gCtB20bag

it will look good on your portfolio.

Yes. Get it in a sale though
It's on sale for $7.19 now until 1/1/19.

Jumped on Doom since it went back to half price and BB Kelly going out of stock. Only thing I'm really waiting on is To the Top.

Man Frisky, can't believe you're still doing all this work.  Cheapy should be paying you!  Really appreciate you keeping the list up to date.  If only Beat Saber would go on sale...

I’m undecided on Time Carnage and The American Dream. I’ve been wanting both for a while but the reviews I’ve seen are meh on both. I do have a 20% coupon from my rdr2 pro bundle I could throw at it. Decisions, decisions...

I came here to say that Red Matter is the best short puzzle/adventure game on PSVR at around 3 hours long and Borderlands VR is exactly what you think it would be with almost no problems outside the noted lack of co-op, DLC, and Aim support which are kinda obnoxious omissions.

I think Beat Saber sold very well so don't expect it to go on sale any time soon.  I'd bet that some part after they start releasing song packs they will have 'sales' where they package in some song packs with the full game but you'll still have to pay $30.  That's just my guess.

I can't wait for some song packs and will gladly pay $10 for 10-12 new songs.

Isn't there supposed to be some slow down effects or other enhancements for VR? Are any of those special other than just experiencing the game in VR itself?

I like the idea of Borderlands 2 VR, but not @ $49.99. I've already bought it twice (vanilla, and Handsome collection) before, so it's not like I "need" to play it right away.

It looks like Arizona Sunshine is down to $11.99 for PSN+, which seems to be the lowest price I recall (it's been $15.99 quite a few times.). I may finally have to pick it up.
