so you guys did not have any problems downloading the demo? mine gets stuck on 5%
I thought it was going to take forever being I havent at the best of luck downloading demos. But mine took about 5-8 minutes. So for once no problems for me.

Wow this sucks....... Only played the MP........ I'll stick with Battlefield and move this one down in my rental queue, I love the marketplace! :)
I liked the demo. I'm diggin the whole native american hero theme
I did too, ten years ago.

The game is okay, I can't help but feel I'm playing as Turok in Quake 4, however. The best part by far is the jukebox and to a lesser extent, Pacman. I'll probably pick this one up around $30.

holy crap.. I played this game for like 2 or 3 hours last night, multiplayer.. i've had a headache all day. Friggin game.

i really dont thikn its anything special... multiplayer is almost identical to Quake 4, minus a few features...

I cannot seem to find a multiplayer match that isn't lagging like mad. I enjoyed the single player demo, but I don't see myself playing this much on Live even if I could find a match that wasn't sputtering all over the place.

Same here! Single player was cool and multiplayer was decent. Maybe all these FPS titles are catching up to me. Gonna have to pass on this one. I liked the story, but not enough for $60.

How many people have you had in a room? It always craps up in rooms with 6+ for me.

I fail to understand why there was such an uproar over the inability to download a demo of a mediocre game when there was even a PC demo available, yet the Chromehounds demo went completely under the radar.

1. Some of these people's computers can't run it.
2. Chromehounds is a mech game, not a large backing for that amongst the general game community.
3. People didn't want to fool with having to make a fake account to get a mech game.
4. Because the developers didn't hold true to a date that they announced for the Marketplace and left some people in the dark.
5. If they downloaded the PC demo while they had a preorder for Prey or interest in preordering it, they would be fooled because the two versions feel and look so much different, so they needed to see what the 360 version was like before they bought the 360 game.

Way to try and guise an opinion as fact.

Thumbs up!

I personally tried it on 360 after doing trying the PC demo to see if it played okay with a controller (which it does IMO).

I played through the single player part of the demo today and it was ok, but I wouldn't spend $60 on it. I'll have to try the multiplayer sometime next week.

game stinks...
messing with the virtual jukebox listening to Clutch and Ted Nugent was the best part.
stupid stupid 3d realms...put out duke nukem already!

I rather enjoyed it, and depending on how expansive the game is (and if there's any deals on it), I could see me picking this up right away.

Although I will say that a lot of the graphics looked awful, like a mediocre Xbox 1 game.

what was will all the phalic, slimy, booger-like and butthole portals.
do all aliens have the same "whacky" interior designer?

It was ok, but one thing that really boils me about this game is the inability to switch to the Legacy controller configuration. I must be one of the 6 people who like the right stick to be strafe/look and the left to be move/turn.

You guys aren't having really bad lag problems? I've played 10 different matches or so between yesterday and today and even though all of the games have been green, but I'm getting some Quake 3 on 56K type lag.

are there any settings on the 360 that could mess up demo downloads?

since I got my 360, I haven't been able to download any demos. they start at 1% and never move any further.

Every single one does that?
Every single one does that?
Yup. When the Tomb Raider Legend demo dropped, I tried to download it. Same problem.

It's been sitting at 1% for a little bit, I cancelled my first download. When I went to go find the demo, it was labeled "Incomplete Demo, Size: 1.0GB" on my hard drive. So I'm guessing it's downloading and not updating the percentage?

How long is it taking everyone to download the demo?

Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes on a decent connection.

I finally played the demo....reminded me of Quake/Doom. Only played the single player as I could not find a LIVE match.

The game is OK at best....maybe a rental.

The graphics suck, the weapons are boring, and the monsters are far from impressive.

But I did really enjoy the puzzles and other oddities.

I really wish that game makers would stop dick riding Doom 3 so much. I probably would have like this game a lot more if I didn't feel like I played it 2 years ago.

I like this game because it's a more traditional FPS with health and weapons on the ground .
Not some bullshit where I have to swap my current gun for the one on the ground , or hide and let my shield recharge .

Not OMG!! You kant duel weeld tihs game is teh suxxors LOL!!

I enjoyed the single player game.
I pre-order the LTD Edition at Gamerush .
The leaked version took only 6 hours to beat.
Wow, that kind of sucks.

I don't think I'll throw down the cash if it only takes 6 hours.

You're right, peeps on GameFAQ's are saying it's only 6 - 8 hours long, and it only offers a barebones multiplayer (DM and Team DM)... this one is destined for a price drop real fast.

WTF did they do for the past 6 years?

People on GameFAQ's who have played the leaked PC versions are claiming the single player only clocks in at around 6 - 8 hours... it seems it could be easily beaten in a day, so just a heads up to people throwing down $60 and $70 for this.

Multiplayer may make up for it, but it seems barebones.

Got the pewter figure today.. my god, it's tiny

//Edit: Here's a picture I just took to prove the tinyness

Hows the quality though?

I think I'll still pick this up either tomorrow or the day after. I've been wanting a new FPS, and this one seems to fit the bill.

9.0

Even though the main review is just a cut and paste from the PC section... fucking lazy ass IGN.

Ouch... 7.5 from Gamespot.

http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/prey/review.html?sid=6153775

Prey's campaign won't take too long, and it's rarely difficult, which makes it a solid choice if you're looking for an easy weekend romp. But much of the game's potential for unique thrills feels wasted by its straightforward level design, and the multiplayer doesn't add much to the package. Fans of the genre have probably played games better than Prey in the past, but the action and the environments you move through are interesting enough to make playing through the game worthwhile.

IGN gave it a 9.0... why are no reviews mentioning the shortness of the game so far?

Here we go... 7.5 from Gamespot, and their review seems a little more worthwhile.

You can't even play on the hardest difficulty initially.

Hmmm and so it begins, I can easily see this game getting mixed reviews.

I can't wait for the EGM where one guy gives it a 9.0, another a 7.5 and the third one gives it a 5.0 ;)
Multiplayer sounds disappointing though, I thought there would be more than just deathmatches for online. $40 dollar game at most.
I feel bad for you 360 players... it takes FOREVER for games to drop in price for you guys.

Quake 4 is already $19.99 new for PC, while it's still $49.99 for the 360. I got a feeling Prey will quickly drop on PC.
