It's because Insomniac is that damn good. They're working exclusively on the PS3, so they can put more time into getting great results out of the system than EA and the other multiplatform companies can get out of it.

Was it a movie-like poster? The reason's that they were made before the delay. I believe Insomniac mentioned making those for Leipzig.
 
I played the demo of this at a Gamestop Kiosk. It looks soo good. The graphics are beautiful. It may be the best looking next gen game Ive seen yet.
 
Downloaded the demo off PSN. Simply a beautiful game. I will be definitely be picking up this title on DAY 1. Looking forward to Drake's Fortune.
 
just played through the demo even with the view backwards still a fun and impressive game! Can't wait to play the retail version!
 
Love the rail parts in the levels. The Grooveatron is totally awesome. Hopefully the final build has the option to invert the aim controls (unless I'm just missing it in the options). Is there some sort of strafe/lock-on functionality without going into the RE4-style behind the shoulder view?
 
The previous versions allowed you to invert aim, so I'm expecting it will be there. The demo is still a bit old I hear (although not as old as the Gamestop demo).
 
At the risk of being attacked, I have to say I've never played a Ratchet & Clank title before. I downloaded the demo and now I'm hooked. I can not wait until this is released. I'm going to have a lot of sleepless nights playing this game.
 
Sorry if this has been brought up, but: Are there any deals on this? I've been searching and it looks like I'm going to pay $60 this week.
 
...it got an 8.5, 9.0, and 9.5 = 9.0 average. Not bad at all. Too bad the word "Halo" isn't in the title--it would've gotten straight 10's.
 
Its the chique thing to do, rate a great game with a average score. It makes you look elietest. See Shame Bentenhousen

All the controls schemes of the previous titles will be present in the retail version of Future.
 
9.0 average is hardly an average score, nor is the 8.5 one person gave it.

Those are high scores. Especially for a sequel since EGM has a policy of giving a slight penalty to sequels that don't change things up enough.
 
Jeez, since when did my or any magazine opinion matter? Don't get offended, its just the internets. I for one am going to buy it, its the one and only disk game I will own for the PS3. And what makes me a Wii fanboy "The cootch"? Did I say something about your mother?

Pretty sure OP is saying 9.0 is the average of the 3 scores by EGM.

I foresee either this or Uncharted being my GOTY...I'm leaning towards Uncharted though, hopefully that delivers.

Curious though, do you know who gave it the 8.5?

I hate that reviews have to have a number rating now. You can't compare Madden to GTA, yet some people do by looking at the review score. Some people freak out when a AAA title gets less than a 10. READ the review. If it is good, buy it. If it is bad, don't buy it or rent it.

That said, the demo was fun, but I'm afraid that I'll be able to play through this game without dying. It was a touch too easy for me to want to pick up for now. Maybe as a GH, though.

guyver2077, you only buy games that are in your "demographic"? If so, sorry bud, but your missing out on a lot of great games... I for one will be picking this one up, a fun game is still a fun game...

Also, Shane Betenhausen, or Mangod as he's known on GAF, is probably the guy who gave the game a 9.5. He's a big Sony guy and definitely not one to give a low score to a good game. Check out the EGM Live podcast to hear the discussion on this game...

You're basing your opinion of the difficulty of the game on the demo, which covers one of the earliest parts of the game?

Also, to the mod editing the title, please be courteous and post, or send a quick PM, when you're going to do it instead of being sneaky about it.

The software I downloaded said "demo," not "tutorial." I treated it as a demo, a sampling of the game that indicates what it is like overall. I liked what I played, but not enough to buy it. I am allowed to think that, no?

You can think whatever you want, but that doesn't make it the truth. ;)

You're not going to have the Groovitron and the penguin gun when you start the game, so it'll be a bit harder, but the Ratchet games have always been easy at first and gets harder as you near the boss, like most games do.
