Since the Southern CA Thread is up, I figured it might be a good idea to post a thread for the locals of the Bay Area. Maybe we can do some face-to-face trades, make posts of inventory in various local stores, post any local sales, etc.

Send me a PM and I will put your name on the list below (PM's are easier for me to keep track of everyone). I will send you a confirmation when I put your name on the list.:

I am just going to take public transportation. I hope they got some cool giveaway.

Hmm I guess now would be the time to get Ryutaro Nonaka to sign my copy of Nightshade.

Same here dude... The BART station is right by my house. :)

Not a bad day today. I got $292.00 in BBV credit and got Scene It for the :360: for only $14.98.

I'm still waiting on other guides to drop to a penny. Oh well, guess my shoe collection is going to go bye bye. :bomb:
What kinds of shoes?
I collect Jordans and a TON of retro Nikes. Heck, I sold two pairs last week on Ebay and made $500.

I can't find the time to wear them all so I figure, keep all the ones I want/know I'm gonna wear and sell the rest for cash to help fund my gaming habit and pay off bills.

So who went to the Valkyria thing?? (And on a lesser note, the Capcom thing on Thursday?) I'm really curious to know what it was like.

I was there. There was a line but by 5:30 I think most people got their autograph. They gave out cover of the game for Nonaka to sign, and a rubber grenade with Valkyria Chronicle on it. They had a raffle where they gave out the soundtrack, poster, figures, and a 80gb PS3. There was also a girl cosplay as Alicia but I dont think she looked like Alicia.

I also brought my copy of Nightshde for Nonaka to sign. He seemed to be impress to see someone with the game. The translator asked me if I like it, I was nervous and didnt tell him it was too difficult and just said it was good. I also won a Sega sweater for answering the quiz question. The question was what was VC in Japan. I only remembered the first part as "Valkyie of the Battlefield" but the Sega rep was nice enough to let me have the price anyway. At least I didnt have to look it up online like some other people.

I also took some pictures, which i will be uploading later.

A friend of mine went to the Capcom thing. I had no idea he even knew of it, I just saw it on his away message on Thursday. I'll have to ask him about it later.

Welcome back Veronica.

School must be keeping you busy. :applause:

I picked up a couple of Eye of Judgments and Dragon Ball Z Burst Limits. I'm gonna wait till the prices drop and then try to return/rebuy at my local Target. It worked for Madden 2009 CE and if I get the right manager, he'll probably let me do it again.

Hey guys.

Got my new car, finally!
cleanmode.jpg

(not my house)

I think I'll write a quick post about it since going from an ancient car that was practically falling apart to a brand new one is a pretty big shock. But woo, I don't have to fear for my life while driving anymore. (At least not much... crazy Palo Alto drivers. :bomb:)

What's everyone playing lately? FFTA2 is still a huge timesink for me.

a combination of Tales of Vesperia and Lego Batman on Xbox 360. I got FFTA2 the other day used complete for $15 but havent really touch it.

I picked up a copy of Scene It and another for trade but I can't find anyone that wants to trade D:

Im really looking to trade Scene It for Grid (both from Target) so if anyone wants to pleaes PM me.

but other than that, im pretty sure im done running around and flipping for a while.

My time for playing games is pretty slim nowadays.

I pick up a LOT of games (i.e. Lego Batman, Mega Man 9, some Goozex stuff) but I don't have the time to play. I've been going to the gym a lot and I think I lost about 30 lbs. That, coupled with the time playing with my daughter has seriously crimped my time.

Metaly: Congratulations on the Prius! If I had to get a electric/gas hybrid, it would be that or a Civic. I do drive a Corolla and a Civic Coupe and it helps with the gas mileage.

Abcbadcat: Dude, you and I should help each other out with Target stuff. I've been lucky in the last two weeks in getting good stuff out of there and I need a copy of Skate for PS3 as well as other cheap games. I've been doing some flipping also and I built a nice bundle of credit at BBV that I've been using to get some of the newer games.

Other than that, same ol same ol here.

I'm gonna guess thats why I couldnt find a Eye of Judement on clearance. One day not on clearance the next day just gone. How much you snag them for? I've been waiting for the cupertino and sunnyvale targets to mark them down. Way too much competition around here for clearance and I wanted to play the damn game not flip it. I'm gonna start hidding crap from now on. So I can get to it before you go flip it at BBV.

My intention was not to flip these. If you want these at the cost I got them ($34.98), then PM me. I'll be glad to give it to you at the price I got it. The Cupertino and Sunnyvale Targets did NOT have any EoJ's as I got these from another store. Ask anyone in here. I'll be glad to help Bay Area CAGers get things before others come. I helped someone here get a Wario Ware at the price I got it and I would gladly do the same for you. :D

Well at least your cool like that Civick there's some lurkers and assholes amongst us that don't have the common courtesy to not hoard. Yeah I'll hit ya up for one at that price. I'm going outta town for the next few days but when I'm back we can set something up.

OMG metaly! That's so cool! Is it a Toyota Prius, or another car?
Wow, that's a beaut... Congrats metaly! :)

BTW, still playing Vesperia... I think I'm halfway through it, not too sure though. I just need to find the time to finish that game. ;)
Glad to hear that you're still enjoying FFTA2... I still haven't touched FFT for PSP, and I bought that game months ago... That is how bad my backlog is. >_

Yep, a Prius. :) I'm moving up the ranks of the most dangerous drivers.

My backlog is still pretty bad. I haven't played beyond the opening mission in FFT PSP, and I got it when it came out since it was $20 at Fry's... and now it's $20 everywhere :cold: At least I got the non-GH version though.
Nice! I wanted that color, but it was coming out several months later from when I bought my Prius and I needed a car ASAP (had already waited 3 months just to get the green-grey color I got, back in '05 when Prius was uber-popular). I'm jealous of the newer model's GPS screen stuff... looks so much nicer than the old ones.

Welcome to the smug-polluting party :)
Been playing Pheonix Wright all over again, and been debating picking up Sonic Chronicles. Anyone play it yet?
I've played Sonic Chronicles I have an R4 Shhhh............
Its pretty fun I like it.

Picked up Lost Odyssey at Serra Center/Colma Target for $15 this morning. It was $30 on Sunday, so Target dropped the price on Monday. Even though there was 2 left, my cousin picked up the last one this evening. So someone got lucky (or someone is lurking).

I also grab Lost: Via Domus for $5, the Kodak battery recharge/photo stand for $7.50, rechargeable batteries for $0.88 each, and the Chronicles of Riddick trilogy for $10 (that was not on clearance).

On a different note, I'm playing Time Hollow on the DS. It's pretty good, but unfortunately it's pretty short as well.

Okay folks, I need some assistance. Every year the past 3-5 years my friends up in Sac throw a huge Halloween party and this year is the last one at this house. So I need to go big. I am looking for a place I can rent costumes, in the East Bay preferably. Any place will do really but I am specifically looking for this
6192_dg6823.jpg
It would cost me $160 to buy it but I'd rather rent it and same some dough. Though I will admit it would be pretty cool to have access to that costume anytime of the year .

I really am considering buying it if I can't rent it. I was all set to either buy a cheesy Superman muscle chest costume or going as Ryu but this one just made me go

Someone suggested to me that I wear a jersey with only the top button buttoned, with a detective hat and pipe. He wanted me to go as "Sherlock, Homes."

Just wanted to post, that I finally found GTA! ( Colma Target ) They had 7 and the retarded guy wouldn't hold me one.
Anyways, in the .45-1.20 it took me to get there, some asshole bought all 7.

Even if it was for ebay or whatever, that's being greedy, and hopefully it wasn't a fellow CAG.

If anyone see any, please let me know.
I'd really appreciate it.

Hey Veronica,

That totally sucks hearing about that. I can understand 2 or 3, but all friggin 7?!?!?

If he/she are planning to trade those to BBV or Gamestop, they'll know that they'll get a paltry $14 for each of them. Hope they chew on that for a moment.

Veronica, you can PM me about a GTAIV :360: LE. I saw one at one of my many trips to Target today.

As for me, I went to Blockbuster today to trade in a copy of Alone in the Dark and 2 copies of NBA 08 and I was told that I was flagged today. The manager seemed perturbed at me and thought that I was stealing. Sheesh. I showed her my receipts for the games to show that they were LEGITIMATELY bought. Oh well, does any other Bay Area CAGer that flip from BBV to GS experience this problem? Should I expect a call from the DM soon? If so, I have proof of all my purchases. They really can't do anything about it I hope.

--Michael
As long as nobody is reporting the exact games traded as being stolen, they have no reason to suspect you (well maybe reason but no right to speak it).

If you aren't stealing you have nothing to worry about, and the manager has more to worry about with remarks like that.

from the old topics people who were abusing trade in got flagged. Hopefully you got a friend that can trade in for you.

Man, I can't believe I didn't see them yesterday, unless they were holding them in the back or hiding them. I'm going to need to be more thorough next time I'm there.

If I have to resort to this, I will. However, what was weird was that the manager still managed to trade in one copy of NBA 08. I found that funny considering I was "flagged." I guess I'll lay low for awhile and just purchase my pre-orders with my credit.

Yeah! I just happened to go to a local target before School, and they checked.
Told me " Colma " Target had 7.
Then I used to DCPI to check. Nothing, All Gone.

Dude I just got KAIN'S LANCE in FFTA2! That's what it's called. "This black lance is thought to have once belonged to a dragoon of legend." So awesome.

Also it was pretty cold today. Glad the weather's cooling down, though.

That's so awesome...

Still no GTA :/
Anyone seen any?

BTW - I went to redwood city target. There was one GTA left, which someone bought, since it wasn't there.
They sold it for 54.98, the guy told me.

I'm assuming you meant a Special Edition of GTA4? 360 or PS3?

If so, I'm frequently there and haven't noticed any 360 SE's in a long time. (I don't look at PS3 stuff).

Unless they've been keeping them behind the counter or someplace other than the usual cabinets...
