Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I highly suggest not printing out a clearance list and taking it to Sears. It would have to be definitive proof of the price not just a list off the internet that to them would be unverified. Thus, it would have to be a receipt in this case as there are no advertised prices from KMart's clearance.

NO. by any means do not show them this list. the list is for us to use. you may or may not ruin it for the rest of us. you cant tell for sure what they'll end up doing.

each sears are managed differently, so if 1 sears didnt ring Dead or Alive 4 for 360 for $1.97 just go to another one and price check it again. use Apposum's post as an example:

yeah, i love sears. i was there two weeks ago and picked up final fantasy IV for $2.50, metal gear acid for $4.00 and a PSP Case for $4.50. i was talkin to the sales
person and he said if u find any godfather games (non wii verison) it comes up to a penny.
 
I wonder who the person was who went and cleaned out all the copies of Ape Escape 3 that were sitting at a local store. I purchased a couple of copies for fellow CAG and when I finally decided I might want to try it out especially for the MGS parody boom all gone after posting my find lol...

i never had a problem with mine until my stores are getting hit like crazy up to the point where whenever i post a find, a week later the other stuff i left are missing or gone or whatever. at kmart awhile back i posted i found 2 ps2 network adapters, i went back yesterday and both were gone :cry:. you never know whos hoarding. if it did get picked up by several cags then im happy for them.
 
I have been waiting for the original 12 month XBox Live Kits to drop for the longest time they still ring up $23.97. I am waiting for the price to drop to the $7.97 some cagers are reporting but if it dropped to the mid teens price range I would jump all over the ones at my local Sears store. Final Fantasy IV advance scanned $21.97 two weeks ago now I am getting a the price is not available at this store message at the price checkers they do have the game behind the locked case the same goes for New Super Mario DS.
 
I just had a killer find at Sears, Zelda Twilight Princess Gamecube version for 19.99. This was due to a mismarked price tag so its extremely YMMV if it will be tagged this price at other stores. The game normally comes up 49.99 in the system! What a deal!

Yeah had to wait about 20 min for a manager on the TP, seemed really pissed that someone made a mistake with the mismarks, hah. Most of their games were correctly marked too but some were not, but I don't think anything was cheaper than the sticker, someone must have went through and thought all remaining cube games were 19.99. The funny thing is there was another copy of TP there, same game, gamecube version sticker 29.99.

Here is the receipt if anyone needs it for anything, it says override on it so I don't think you will be able to use it at another sears but if you do here it is:

 
went by sears ago 2day and all games were regular price but still good deals SNK card fighter 19.99, Battlefield 2 9.99, and rumble roses 7.97 . They did still have Psp
cases,headsets and etc for 4.79

hmm, thats the second time someone reported SNK CF for $19.99. sucks cause it'll stay like that for a really long time...
 
Yeah, I think SNK card fighters is 19.99 here too (pink sticker) however the first sears I went to it did not ring up in the system.
 
So THIS is where the Sears thread is ;). I'll have to check out my closest Sears before the Christmas shopping hits full gear (and it is impossible to park at the Mall).

I didn't find a damn thing that had dropped. Everything is sitting there, almost exactly as it was a month ago, and at the same price. Some of them even went up. Final Fantasy V (GBA) which was I think $22 three weeks ago is back up to $29.99.
 
There's a few things at Sears I've been looking at picking up as soon as the Nov drop hits, but it's hard to predict exactly when Sears will lower the price on their games these days.
 
Stopped by the Sears in Columbia, MD tonight. Mario Party 7 rang up at $35.97, but I picked up an old Xbox Live 12 month kit (UPC 805529511170) for $24.97.
 
Went to Sears to buy something and saw Drill Dozer. Figured it was old & cheap so I asked the cashier to scan the price. Nothing came up so he called a manager over to see what to do. Manager said it was out of the system and he couldnt sell it to me. Does anybody what it means when a game is no longer scanning up? Came back a week later & the game is still there for sale, go figure.

Wilmington NC Sears is still not clearance prices. Did fine more DOA4s at 15.97 and a couple Rumble Roses XX for 7.97 but nothing in the $1.97 DOA4 range.

When a game no longer rings up this means it has been "clearanced-out" the previous clearance drops for the game have dropped it below a price which the store is willing to sell the game for. Some stores will "penny-out" the game first, selling it for a penny instead of refusing to sell it. As usual YMMV as it all depends on the store, the management, and the clerk you try to buy the game from. I've noticed several sears and kmarts that will let certain games only drop so far before marking them as "video game" and selling them at $9.99 or $14.99.
 
At Sears if you can get the Sears product ID code and give it to the cashier to enter into their computer--it will bring up the last price.

We may even want to start including these ID codes in the OP, for future referrence. I know just about all of us have been shot down on buying a clearance game in the past because it wouldn't ring up.

It's been ages since I had any real luck at a Sears. However, 5+ years or so ago, I saw that the local sears was getting rid of it's video game section while walking through to go to the Mall's EB. I walked over to check it out and noticed a lot of boxed PS1 games. I asked the employee if I could have a look through, and managed to pick up Legend of Legaia, FFVII, and Vagrant Story for under 10 bucks :D.

My luck has been horrible since. Feels like the only thing I find in bargain bins are ponies and Mary Kate and Ashley: XX...

I was on a mission to find cheap XBox Live cards since my subscription ran out today.
 
Picked up 3 Xbox Live 12 Month prepaid cards for $19.97 each. I don't have an xbox though so they're up for trade/sale if anyone is interested.
 
anyone notice any clearance stickers with NOV on them yet? I'm wondering if it's about time to make a trip back to sears to update recent drops.

Not much to add, just wanted to say that I used to work in that same Sears (Marketplace Mall) back in '93 (has it really been that long? Damn I'm getting old :cry: )
