Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

LOL, I was flipping through the forums and for a second there my mind read that as "I finally got Laid for $6.97 today."
 
Did price protection on the warhawk and ddr 360 bundles. Got ~$10 from each :D. They even took off an extra 10%!

There must be someone else in my area that knows about these deals though cuz:
1) the clerk I went to actually told me how there was someone the other day who brought a best buy ad to pricematch
2) there were no gripshifts, lairs or $1 games
3) there were no gripshifts, lairs or $1 games!

side notes: they had mercury meltdown revolution but it wasn't stickered so it came up $15 #-o

and this one made my day: I turned around after getting my refund, I see a singstar ps3 bundle - marked $1.97! :hot: Of course, I got it - Sears [community], you're the best!
 
Sears is the best place to PM deals. When CC mistakenly advertized Madden 08 and NCAA 08 for 20 when they were still 60 I pmed those for 16 each, when CC advertized Monster Madness for 8 and it was still 50 I pmed, Compusa advertized Crackdown for 20, etc. Not much of a hassle if you find the right Sears and you get 10% extra right then as opposed to having to buy it first at BB and then come back later for a price adjustment in order to get that extra 10%. Some still call the local store and verify that the item is in stock. The good ones have a computer with links to all of the stores/websites they pm which makes it a breeze, especially if it is still in stock online. I've had items not be in stock locally, but because they were still instock on the website I got the pm. Even got Crackdown after all the local CUSAs closed!
 
Ok, I didn't see this stated in the OP, or the OPs of the older threads, and I defiantly do not want to go through 150+ pages, so can someone direct me on how Price Matches work at Sears?
I saw something about a PM garentee, and some thing like using your Edge Card?
I'd like to pick up some good things when I hit up a certain Sears on monday, so if theres some good sunday ad stuff I wanna take full advantage of it.

EDIT:the post above me answers some things and leaves more questions, like do you need a physical copy of the ad or can you print it? YMMV?

If they have the computer set up and it's advertized on an eligible website then that will work fine, but I'd take the ad/printout to make sure because not getting the pm cause you forgot an ad is a pain.

Edge card? I'm confused as that's a Gamestop item.

Guy at checkout was trying to sell me a replacement plan on THUG for $0.15. I said "I think I'll take my chances."
 
That happened to me with a $1.97 game. He was saying "if it breaks, you will get a giftcard for $1.97" and it is only $0.30. Uh, no thanks.
 
I went to Sears today looking to pick up some DS games. I saw that there was Clubhouse Games listed for $9.97 or something in the main thread. They rung it up for me and it was still $19.99.

Is this an error? YMMV? Or do I need to do/say something to get that price? Let me know, I want to go back there tomorrow :)
 
When they restocked it when it was re-released, it was taken off clearance and is no longer $9.97. Same thing with Dead or Alive 4 on the 360, it is also back to full price at $19.99.

I am going to take the Merc melt back and try to get them to price adjust them any advice? also is the FFVI worth hanging on to? or should I just return it?
 
Mercury is only $0.97 if it has a value UPC sticker over the regular UPC. There is no way to get a price adjustment on it unless you buy one of the copies with a UPC sticker since it is considered a different item and the one you bought for $14.99 is only in the system at $14.99.

so unethically i could take the sticker off of THUG that I bought and take it back to them and say they rang up the wrong barcode. DOn't think i will do that though I am just going to return them and wait.

FFVI is def worth keeping. Prices for sealed copies are going for 30-40 on ebay, while loose game only auctins are going for 15-20. so hold on to it for awhile.

I went to Sears again today there were plenty of copies of Zoo Keeper in stock but none had the upc sticker and the 120 gb Xbox 360 hard drive rang up $149.99.
 
How I got SingStar PS3 for $4.97:

I originally bought it for $14.97 in December. Then I opened it and played it and it's pretty fun. Then I read on here that the price dropped to $4.97 ($1.97 in some places, apparently). But I couldn't find my receipt. However, I still had the packaging, and I still had the credit card I used when I bought it. So I went back to the store with all that I had.

The lady was really nice. She found my receipt in the system and confirmed that the price was $4.97 now. But she wasn't sure if they were allowed to do the price adjustment on clearance, so she needed to call a manager. Uh oh.

The manager was super slow to finally help out, but the original CSR was super nice while we waited. We even went over to a kiosk for me to show her on their website that only apparel clearance is specifically excluded and she was pretty much on my side.

But when the manager finally came over, he was a jerk. He tried to say all clearance was excluded and he couldn't do a price adjustment etc. Of course I held my ground and wanted him to explain why not, but he wouldn't. He wasn't making any sense.

Finally I suggested a return and rebuy, and he was fine with that. Whatever. I'm not sure why he thought that was any better, but it's what I did to get the deal.

Sure, it's only 10 bucks; but as good as the game is for $15, it's awesome for $5!

I am a noob, yes. But my Sears apparently does it differently. They had all the games in this "clearance box" and the guy just told me "Yea, everything in there is 19.99 or under". They were not marked or anything with the tags you are showing in your pictures.

But yea, they had a lot of games in there, mostly PS2 and PSP games, but they had a bunch of the Mercury Meltown's and some Garfield game for the DS ... I was mainly hoping to score Clubhouse games :)

Oh well, maybe next time.
 
Picked up Dance Dance Revolution Universe 2 for the 360 for $4.97 at the Sears at Aventura Mall. I was surprised to see it there as it is a pretty busy mall.

clubhouse games was widely popular but for some reason, nintendo pulled the plug on it sometime last year. it went back up in stock when nintendo reprinted it. so its not on clearance anymore since its a restock of an old item. and by then im sure the game went out of system. if you notice the date of when it was last reported:

btw, all old GBA, PS2, GC and XBOX titles should all have these generic barcodes if they are front-lane games.. so they should all be closing in to that .97 price.. at least thats what i assume since theres been alot of front-lane post that are from 4.97 to .97
 
Picked up Tony Hawk's Underground 2 for PS2 for $0.97 with the UPC sticker. It had a $14.99 sticker on the front and the employee was shocked.

Regarding the front lane stuff (or Holiday 07 value games), I think the pricing is something like this:

Games originally $4.99 are now $0.25 (i.e. MVP Baseball 2005 XB)
Games originally $9.99 or $14.99 are now $0.97
Most games originally $19.99 are now $0.97, though there are some exceptions. For example Bionicle Heroes on the 360 was $1.97 with the UPC sticker, and I think there are a few others.

Sega Genesis Collection (PS2, the plastic was halfway ripped) - $4.97 (probably for trade)
Shaman King: Legacy of the Spirits (GBA) - $4.97
Rave Master: Special Attack Force (GBA) - $4.97
Megaman Battle Network 5: Team Protoman (GBA) - 97 cents

At this point, I'll take any good deal on sealed GBA games that aren't kids' games, so I think that was a pretty good deal!

I scanned the UPC for the Buzz Hollywood Quiz Bundle earlier this week. It is tagged $24.97 but the UPC scanned for $19.97 or $14.97 so it is either YMMV or it's another Buzz that is $4.97.

2 PS3 Singstar bundles for $1.97
1 DDR Universe 2 for $4.97

I got both of the Singstar bundles my Sears had. I plan on using one as a gift and trading or selling the other. I picked up one of the two DDR Universe 2 bundles. That I plan on trading or selling. I didn't see too much else that looked interesting.
 
Ok, I found a sears with copies of Mercury Meltdown with the generic UPC on the back (696055133239), but they are ringing up $19.99. Anyone have some advice of what I should do?

WTH my sears has both of these.... all full price.... very jealous....
 
Picked up Singstar for $1.97, it was marked as $10 and I almost lost my shit when it rang up at $2. It took every ounce of restraint I had in my body, but I ultimately decided NOT to pick up the last remaining copy for flipping/trading(1 singstar is enough, plus as I learned with the 80s edition, they're a bit of pain to ship). If you happen to be in the Hagerstown MD mall area, better jump on that last copy!

Of course the three cheapest games had the generic barcode on the back. I was hoping to find Lair or Warhawk but no such luck. There was a crapload of stuff in the clearance bins still marked $29.99 or $19.99 that I really hope sticks around long enough to drop into CAG range so I can snag them.


Which versions of Singstar are you guys finding for $2? Is it just the 80's edition?
