Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

You're absolutely right. As tempting as it might be, don't do it.
 
Especially with all the stories of people getting in trouble at Sears for just pricechecking stuff or finding an opened game there is no way I would take a chance.

I have noticed all stores seem to be cracking down on anything suspicious. When I was at Target 2 days ago, I noticed right after I put 5 or so games I scanned at a price checker (which were still 50% off when others reported getting them for 75% off 2 weeks ago!) back at the clearance endcap a guard went to the area and looked at the games I put back.

Another time I took 3 games to a price checker at Sears which was the other end of the sales floor and one guy in the garden area saw me and used the radio to say something and on the way back, asked if I needed help. I told him I was just price checking stuff.

I am kind of scared that one day I am going to get stopped, not that I did anything wrong or will do anything wrong but I was considering looking up the rights of people in these situations. I mean if they stop me and accuse me of stealing, if I know I didn't steal and try to talk out, could they physically stop me from leaving?

I had a guard watching me and hovering around the electronics section at Target today. First time I had seen that at my store.

Somebody above had mentioned "Shopkeeper's Privilege", which I hadn't heard of before. Google/Wikipedia it and you'll see that they can (at least in most jurisdictions)

There were a ton at my store with only a few stickers, but they gave them to me for the stickered price. Pretty cool of them if you ask me.

lol, well i only work fri, sat and sun and im not the one with the snick(the handheld price thingy)

the signing lead has that, but ill ask him about it tommorow. i found out today that the new hdtv models are coming out next month thats cool, because we have nothing in stock. but ill tell you tommorow what i find if i remember lolz
 
Just saw on the news, this morning, that because of the ecomomy, Sears is going to be closing I think about 20 mall stores nation wide. I hate to see people losing their jobs. Just posting cause it may be a store near you and we may see a nice price drop on some merchandice.

I think one of the Sears by me is going to close. The rest of the mall is literally closed down. Only the anchor stores are open on the ends the mall. (JCpennys, Sears, Dillards, etc.) Going to have to keep an eye out for it.

yeah thats very unfortunate for all of us.. what sad news this is.. kmart cant compete with target and walmart.. im sure they took a huge blow these past few months.

Timeshift(Xbox 360)-$5.47(Was considering buying it but left it because Microsoft Seal was broken.)

Pirates of the Caribbean AWE-$2.97

Monster Madness Battle for Suburbia-$2.97

Might go back and pick up Pirates. How is it??

You should grab Monster Madness for that price.. if anyone remembers Zombies ate my neighbors this is the next best thing to a remake of that.
 
I hated Monster Madness, but I overpayed for it (paid like 20 bucks awhile back). Still, worth paying 3 bucks for, if you dont like it you can always trade it to GS.

Pirates is well worth it for 3 bucks. And once again, if you dont like it just trade it to GS...3 bucks for games is less than it would be to rent, and you can play it as long as you want, milk them for achievements then dump them to GS to basically get your money back.

But I enjoyed Pirates.

I played the demo a while ago thought the same thing. Zombies ate my neighbors is one of my favorite genesis games and I bought Monster Madness for $4.97, not bad for an okay game.

I keep thinking I am going to get stopped too, the last time I was in another Sears not the one I normally go to I took a couple games to the scanner, when I was doing that I heard something like LP check section x over the radio. Well all I did was scan the games and then put them back where I found them (mind you these were like 2$ clearance games so its not like it was a big expensive item). Then I took one up to the register and paid for it, guess they couldn't do anything since I paid for my purchase, they were probably just waiting for me to steal it though. Its as if they don't want people shopping in their stores.

I had a middle aged man in garden yell out "Do you need any help" from a while away, of course I just ignored him because I thought that was just lazy. If your going to suspect me of stealing atleast put some effort *sign*.

lmao. i didnt have a single employee even bother me in there (and I was browsing games for a good 30 minutes, which is normally what a theif would do...I guess?)...oh course, i thought to myself, these could be easy to steal, but why would I bother when they're 5 bucks each lol.

I get that a lot at Target. I walk into the same Target a couple times a week and head directly to the clearance section. If it's empty, I walk out ... otherwise I might scan a few items. Sometimes I get looks, sometimes not.

Back to Sears ... I have not shopped games at Sears before, and after reading about some of the clearance stuff available, I stopped by yesterday. All I found was a couple of metal bins in the aisleway there were "Value Priced games $29.99 or less" (mostly 360, PS3 and Wii titles) and "Value Priced games $19.99 or less" (mostly ps2 games). Most of the games were priced $29.99 and $19.99 respectively, and I did not see much (if any) of the clearance games listed on page 1 of the thread.

... are clearance games mixed with the value priced games and just not marked off or is there a special "clearance section" like at Target?

This is how my Sears is, too. It sucks. The only 360 game on the Value shelvs is Timeshift and it still rings up $19.99 or whatever its stickered price. All other 360 games are behind there glass and the selection is terrible.

Yeah, I remember it took me 20 mins to get someone to ring me up while there were all talking by the HDTVs.

I'd be interested if Elebits (Wii), Mortal Kombat Armageddon (Wii), Super Swing Golf Season 2 (Wii), Final Fantasy VI Advance (GBA), and Mortal Kombat Kollection (PS2) dropped any further.

I am not sure if the MKK is the 3pack that is packaged like the metal gear one, but the lowest FEB drop was 14.97 by me...Hopefully it will go 9.97 in the next couple of days.
