Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Grr. Went to Sears today and found Drill Dozer. I scanned it myself and the price didn't come up and then I asked the clerk to check. He couldn't find it and started doing something on the phone. He didn't say anything into it then turned and say "It is $27.99, like it says on the box."

I was like, 'WHAT?! It is way to old to be that price still... (plus I saw a $14 sticker on another one)" and he kind just turned around to watch the football game with the crowd. Searching this thread I think the game has been taken out of the system.

Eragon (360) - $3.98
XBL Arcade Unplugged (360) - $3.98

Not the greatest games, but I'm willing to try almost anything for less than the price of a rental. Plus, achievements are cool :cool:

Was it marked at $3.97 or was it marked another price because I have seen several copies at Sears today and they were marked $19.99.

Because I will be going to Sears to pick up a copy of Virtua Tennis 3 Xbox 360 tomorrow.

Were they marked at $3.97 or were they marked another price because I have seen several copies at Sears today and they were marked $19.99. Because I will be going to Sears to pick up a copy of Virtua Tennis 3 Xbox 360 tomorrow since it is marked $8.97.

Kameo was marked 3.97 for me. VT3 was marked 17.97. I asked the guy to price check it for me and sure enough it rang up for 8.97

Virtua Tennis 3 at my local store is marked $8.97.

One last question, Do they have scanners that you can check the prices yourself like Target does? I would rather take a stack and scan them myself then tell a cashier that I don't want a big stack when it doesn't scan for the price I want.

Eragon was marked $3.97, XBL Arcade had no price tag. Price tag or not, however, the true price is always in the system.

Virtua Tennis 3 kicks ass btw.

Depends on the store. My local Sears has all the electronics in a section of the store with glass walls and only one way in and out due to theft but the employees are always willing to give me price checks. Other Sears have scanners but they aren't near the games area (usually) so sometimes they get suspicious if they see you walk away from electronics with a stack of games. I usually bring a printout of UPC's since it's easier to take that to the scanner.
 
I've been in and out of this thread, but I never actually looked at the prices. Finally went to Sears, found that most of the clearance stuff isn't even marked. One thing of note is Shadow of the Colossus, but the shrink wrap is half torn off and the case is damaged. But for $2...Hopefully it's still there when I go back.
 
went back Saturday, and while grabbing 3 copies of Tetris DS at $30 a pop, picked up the last Clubhouse Games in stock at 9.97. There was one copy of PoR they must have recently found in the back, which was the same price, but I left it behind this time around.

The two closest Sears to me have open area electronics so the Clearance games are in a bin next to the glass case at both of them. I most likely will take the stack to a cashier just to make my day easier. I know that I have seen the scanners in both of them and they are normally near areas with clothes.
 
I stopped by my Sears store for the first time in several weeks. I was going to pick up any Harmony remotes I found but they were sold out. Sorry guys!

I did manage to grab a couple hidden gems buried at the bottom of the clearance bin:

I got Final Fantasy IV for the GBA and SNK vs. CAPCOM Card Fighters DS for $2.97 each.

Card Fighers was stickered $5.97 but rang up $2.97. FF IV was not labeled and scanned out of the system. When the cashier rang me up I told him I got the game out of the clearance bin. He said "I'll just let you have it for $2.97 like the other one then". SCORE!

The two Sears here have self-scan price checkers. If they didn't, I doubt I would ask, just 'cause I'd rather not be bothered. :whistle2:#
 
My Sears has a self scanner. The only problem is it's all the way over in the hardware/lawn&garden section. I took a stack of games over there to scan before I went to the register.
 
I was near the Smithtown, NY Sears for a funeral so I stopped in...glad I did! I was dissapointed when I saw the game case, but then noticed a clearance bin in back!

I got FOUR Xbox Live 12 month subcription card with communicator bag for $6.97 each!

Also snagged a PSP battery charger for $7.97 and a Carbon Fiber 360 Faceplate for $2.97. They had some USB thumbdrives for $3.97 each so grabbed that while I was at it.


Workers were trying to tell me they didn't work for the 360, then one of the guys is like "No, they do, so-and-so tried it", seemed they were surprised and kind of pissed off :X
 
Got Shadow of the Colossus for 8.97(Damaged case too, hopefully it works) and Rumble Roses XX for $4.97. Couldn't PM the Xbox live vision from TRU or get DoA4 under $20.

"My" Sears, or the one closest to me, hasn't really added anything new I don't think. Most of the stuff in this cluster fuck of a clearance bin has been there for months. I just decided to dig to the very bottom today (had to kill time while my car was being repaired at the automotive center). Most of the stuff I saw was GH titles or non-GH labeled versions of titles that have gone GH (Kingdom Hearts for example) but still rang up $19.99. There were a few $19.99 Wii games in there (Happy Feet, TMNT, Mercury Meltdown) and some PSP games (Hot Shots Golf, Ultimate Ghosts and Goblins, Darkstalkers). I was hoping some of those would hit $9.99 or lower but no such luck.

I seem to recall seeing Darkstalkers at my Sears with a pink 9.97 clearance sticker although I think it may have been one of the 14.99 type bargin games with a sticker over the UPC.

That is correct. The old front-lane games (from last year or older) are on clearance. The ones with the $14.99 stickers are $9.97 (for example, Darkstalkers, Legend of Kay, Haunting Ground, Street Fighter Anthology XB). The ones with $9.99 stickers are $6.97. Remember these are the older "front lane" restickered-UPC games, not the newer ones.
 
the sears i work at has just recently started to go in the back and get rid of the clearance video games.

they will be in a sears cart with a sign which says clearance.

alot of the poker game for the ps2
 
I got a 3month original Xbox live subscription starter kit for $2.13 after tax....

It wouldnt ring up so they gave it to me for $1.97

It comes with a headset and a demo of 2 games....

Hit my local Sears up today and didn't see anything noteworthy on clearance. Old sports games and poker games. I did, however, score a new copy of Persona 3 for $50, which for me, was a deal in itself. There is one left, but I'm not open for offers until a friend replies back.

Veronica Mars: Viva Piñata SE is worth $20. Really charming game, but the restrictions on how many objects/piñatas can inhabit your garden(s) at one time begins to stymie progress. If you like The Sims or Harvest Moon, this is a must-buy.

Same thing happened to me last week. Saw two copies of Persona 3 so I bought them both to give to my friends ( I already have it). I was very surprised to see those on the shelf.
 
Mine has a third party Cube controller for under $3 and a Viva Pinata face plate for the same price.

And Veronica, Viva Pinata is worth $20 but there's not months upon months of replay value from it like others are suggesting.
 
Found Virtua Tennis 3 yesterday for $8.97. Funny thing is, the glass case had a sticker listing it as $35.97, the game was stickered $20.97, and it rang up for $8.97.:)

29.99 is the list price for it now, and it's very common. If you're trying to buy it to resell, it's not worth it.

the OP is updated with the prices reported.

i would like to suggest when reporting prices for the Xbox Live kits to include the SKU # for reasons that there are so many different variations of them. if someone would like to take a picture/scan of a game with a Sears price sticker on them please do. i cant recall if the pink stickers included the SKU.

Went back to the Garden City, NY store and they brought out a lot of games into cardboard clearance shelves! Didn't expect to see this. They had the Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged for $3.97, quite a few copies - I only bought one for my boyfriend since I already have it.

They actually marked all the accessories on sale appropriately, 20 GB HDD still there but hasn't dropped below the $59 mark unlike some stores. There was tons of face plates etc.
