Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I went to my Sears and Kameo was ringing up (under the price checker) for 8$ and a few other games rang up under the checker for a higher price as well. Any info if the price checker could be wrong would be great but I'm pretty sure they run under the same system as the registers. I didn't get to go to an actual register to fuss with them either because it was close to closing time.

The price checker is most likely correct. The prices of these clearance games can differ greatly amongst the various Sears stores. One store may be selling a game for $3.97 while another Sears will sell the exact same game for $31.97.

its usually accurate. i would pick that kameo up for $8 if i were you.
 
Heads up ! oblivion non-ph for 360 isn't ringing up in the system. the manager gave it to me for $6.97, same price as far cry instincts predator.

Picked up Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (Xbox) for 9.97 and SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters DS for 2.97.

Last one of each. This sears also had a ton of ds games in the case but no one around to open it up. They had two copies of Clubhouse games. Is this game on clearance? What is the current price if it is? thanks.
 
Deals are just getting better. Picked up a Intec Recharging Dock for .97 cents! It was labled $7.97 ($14.99 retail). When the cashier rang it up, he looked at the item and asked if I wanted it. Duh, YES. I picked up two of them. San Mateo, CA Sears. *YMMV*

I should really do a price check some of the other stuff.. but they don't have auto price scanner close by.
 
I spoke to a salesperson yesterday, and asked when the next round of clearance games might be getting stickered. He said that they were planning on doing one at "the end of this month, or the middle of next month."

The store is right on my way home, and I usually stop in there once a week. I'll update with more information as it becomes available. Hopefully, there'll be some decent 360 games. I don't really know which ones I'd even be interested in, since most of the ones on my wantlist are relatively new releases. I could always use a rechargeable battery pack, though.
 
I checked the only two sears inside the Atlanta Perimeter today, and they didn't have jack crap. What a waste of two hours. Only have Gunpey DS for 3.97 to show for it. Bleh.

Nope, it was the only one. Found it at Northlake.

Dont bother with either Cumberland or Northlake. Both are devoid of decent clearance titles. The ones that are decent aren't really even on clearance. There was more than a few copies of FFVI at the northlake sears in the clearance bin, but they rang up for TWENTY NINE DOLLARS. And the idiot working there tried to explain to me "that is the clearance price, sir". :/

Scanned this one at the Meriden, CT Sears and it showed as $9.97. Unfortunately, there weren't any in stock.

Went to sears in Aventura FL last night. Picked up Rogue Galaxy for $8.97, Kameo for $6.97 and Persona 3. Was looking for virtua tennis 3, but they were out. I'll probably trade Kameo since I already have it.
 
The Sears by me Tacoma, WA never has anything good and the slim chance they have a good game its never on clearance. I saw Mario Kart: Super Circuit it didnt have a price listed so I had the guy scanned it and he told me it was $30. He asked if I still wanted it I told him I thought I would pass and I left the store.

Did he get all pissy when you told him you didn't want it? I can't stand it when the salespeople get upset when you refuse to buy an item after they check the price. Like you were making them go above and beyone what they're supposed to be doing, anyways.:roll:
 
One of my local Sears has Virtua Tennis 3, but no damned copies of SNK/CAPCOM Card Fighters for me to flip dammit.

It sucks, since it looks like they went through the bin and marked most of the clearance games the right prices. Many of the front row games are down in price by about $5($9.99, down from $14.99).

Although, this is the same Sears which has that Samurai Jack game for PS2 for $40 still. I should've had them check the case for the Card Fighters game, since that's where I found the Samurai Jack one.

Oh and while not game related, has anyone else noticed the sheer volume of clearance signs in Sears lately? They were mainly in the clothing departments in mine, but still, many of them were 50-70% off. Although, many of the prices were overpriced @ 50% off or so.
 
Yeah I always see tons of signs for clearance in the clothing area. Electronics and games always seem to be neglected in terms of signs which I guess is a good thing
 
Clothing was an extra 30% off the pink stickered price the last time I was in Sears however my mom and I thought the prices were still too high so we didn't buy anything. Its a good time for shopping for clothing at various stores though so if you need clothing now would be a good time to look around. We have gotten clothing items at Sears for 2-4$ on some occasions.

Who is giving good trade credit for this game?
 
FYE/Transworld is, shieryda, with their bonus deal they have now. Admittedly, you have to take credit for it, but the value on SecondSpin.com was listed as $11 or so the last time I checked, so with their total bonuses(25% to begin with for taking credit and 20% extra if you bring the game(s) in in their brown bag they're handing out), it comes out to around $15 or so a copy in credit.

It WAS closer to $20 a pop last week though.

If it's at the Viewmont Mall then they probably sold those Card Fighter games. I remember they only had 1 copy there in the bin during the summer for $23 on clearance.
 
I found a couple more games at Sears this evening while waiting for a flat tire repair:

:psp: Darkstalkers $9.97
:gba: Donkey Kong Country 3 $5.97
:gba: Final Fantasy IV $5.97
:ds: Chicken Little $5.97

Darkstalkers and Chicken Little rang up at those prices. Both GBA games rang up out of the system. The young kid had to call the manager over to ask what to do. I guess the manager was just about off for the night because he came over all pissed off. He shouted at the cashier "SO JUST PUNCH IN A PRICE! GO WITH $5.97!"

I hope they do another round of clearances and throw more games from the case into the bin. I also wish FF V & FF VI would get clearanced out.

Yeah, I figured I'd try Viewmont first, since I know many of the clearance games that languished for months in Wyoming Valley Mall got sold during Christmas I think.

I liked when Sears and Kmart seemed more lax on their pricing of games, since they both seem to have started to mark games correctly and put them out in the bin, which makes them disappear quickly in most cases then.

Although, I couldn't trade that card fighter game in at Viewmont anyway, since their FYE stopped selling games.

Hopefully, I can find a copy of the game in Wilkes-Barre this weekend and take it into the FYE in the mall there and get the credit for it while the deal is still going on.
 
Oddball thing, I bought a Sony Psyc Minidisc player that holds 5 hours of music from Sears today for $29.98. The thing had been in the case so long it actually rang up at $99.98. The associate had to do an override. I'm not sure that I'm going to keep it since Minidisc has gone the way of the dodo and I probably need that $30 worth of money for gas...

I wish some of the other games would drop. The store closest to me has several non-gh copies of Kingdom Hearts II. I'd buy it if it would ever drop below $19.99.

anything good at the viewmont mall sears? went there recently, they had that big bin there but i didnt get any price checks. J ust picked a intec pspgame/ memory card holder for 97 cents. im in scranton btw. off topic, but i also went to that ghetto kmart in moosic (off davis st.) and they had a decent amount of reduced games. one inparticular was Tales of the abyss for 15. heard it was kinda rare but i passed. good buy?
 
Has anyone price checked Capcom Classic Collection, if Sears even carries it? I heard it has Gun.Smoke so now I want it but not enough to pay $18 for it used at GS.

I was just at the Kmart earlier tonight and they had many games with clearance stickers, though I didn't see Tales Of The Abyss. I think the game sections there got cleaned out over Christmas time. Either that or they moved a bunch into the back AGAIN. They had a copy of Ninja Gaiden Black that another CAG I know who swings down this way from time to time grabbed.

If I didn't have it used, I would've probably grabbed it myself. As for the Kmart there being 'ghetto', it's just ancient. LOL I've been going there since I was a kid actually, if that tells you how OLD it is.

There's at least 5-7 Kmarts I know of around here. I've hit ALMOST every one in ONE day at one time.

I won't go further off topic by listing them, but let's just say that there's 3 which are far out there(Honesdale, Matamoras and Hazleton). I've been to them all at one point.

As for the Sears at Viewmont, they have a copy of the Samurai Jack game for PS2, but it comes up $39.99.
 
I scanned a bunch of games at my Sears and the prices were alot higher than those posted here. Virtua Tennis was $30, OverG Fighters was $21, etc. They were all the price they were marked with on the little red stickers.

go back once a month and check them. sometimes sears tend to hold on to them much longer since they barely get any new games.

Picked up the one and only copy of Perfect Dark Zero at the Sears in the Regency Square Mall in Richmond, VA for $5.97

If anyone local is planning on doing a search there it's really picked over for the most part. While I didn't really check PS2 games, they had 5 or 6 copies of Bionicle Heroes and one of Phantasy Star Universe in the clearance bin, was actually shocked to find PDZ. Can't beat a 6 buck new 360 game.

yeah they had a few of those PSO's and PDZ. even kameo but PH. didnt wanna touch or price check them i'll just wait...

Get the PH version if possible. Yeah, the cover may be ass-crack ugly, but it features a few maps on the disc for free that you'd otherwise have to pay for on Marketplace.
