Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

No luck at my Sears today. Nothing new added to the clearance bin. They did have a few of the new blue DS lites. I was surprised since they seem to be slow at getting new stuff.
 
To forestall the swarm of people that are going to flock here and bash this post, I'll sum up their points: 1) there is already a Sears clearance thread (just a few posts below yours) and 2) you've been here almost four years and should know better.

went to sears on sunday and found SF Anniversary XBX (front lane) for $9.97. EBA ds rang up for $29.97, ouch. saw a bunch of SNK Card Fighters DS for $23.97 as well. this was the Sears Essential in Easton, PA.

Agreed. The clearance threads are convoluted and require so much of a time commitment that they're almost a religion.

I never knew there was a Sears of any kind down there, aside from the one in the Lehigh Valley Mall down in Whitehall and the one in the Stroud Mall in Stroudsburg. I stopped at the one EB/GS store down that way near Wind Gap the one night last winter and I walked out with probably about 45 guides in one shot.

Unfortunately, it's in the district of the DM that dislikes me and has me marked as a serious devil customer, so I was denied on any future ones once I realized I had left another 30-50 guides there which had pennied and I tried to go back and grab them.

I used to hit most of those stores(including all of the Kmarts in Allentown/Whitehall area) when I was down that way for a day trip to Stroudsburg.

My local Sears stores are still dry as can be on deals, though I'm hoping it's not because of other local CAGs hoarding all of the good stuff.
 
I agree, those clearance threads are such pieces of crap. Who actually has the time to go through all of them constantly? I know I don't.

Back to Chibi-Robo though, I bought that game awhile back and thought it left much to be desired. Thats just my opinion but cleaning up a house gets old fast, even if you're only paying 5 bucks to clean that fictional house.

But since Sears clearances are YMMV in any case (very little chance of finding Chibi Robo there and if you do it isn't likely to be a this same price), I'm merging this into the clearance thread. If this was a widely-available price I'd let the thread stand separate from the clearance deal but it is only worth going there if you've got a huge list of potential things to find and the clearance thread is the way to obtain said list.

i was around the area and i knew there was one there before. it looked like it used to be kmart at one point. it sucks to be a cheap ass gamer around that area now. theres barely anything left for anyone to grab out of anything except for the latest games.

See, that's what gets me super annoyed, is that people want the convenience of having a master list of deals in ONE spot, so they don't have to actually look for the deals at all and can just cut/paste/print/go.

But, this also is detrimental to CAG, in that any members of the SD/FW sites who are also registered here can just do the same. This is why I'm glad when the main posts aren't updated frequently, since it gives those of us who take the time to read all of the prior posts made since the last time we checked the thread to the present a bit of time to try and get the deals before the hoarders swoop down and grab them.

But hey.......I'm seeing more SD/FW type behavior from people on this site than I did when I first joined here, including the hoarding and overpricing of games bought from the clearances.
 
I always thought Sears was a wholesale store like SAMS or BJ's that you have to pay to shop at, am I wrong? And whats the general word about supplies, are many of these stores picked clean?

hmm, wow are u isolated from the world or what. thats something i was say of something like krogers if it wasnt for the fact i went to visit my mom in ohio and noticed that krogers was a grocery store.

sears is probably one of the most well known stores. cmon sears tower ring a bell, or craftsman.. diehard. etc? of course that doesnt speak for how well they are as a company. but to answer your question, sears is like a walmart but crappier..

or probably better to compare to a kmart nowadays

I hope you're kidding about not knowing about Sears. It's a pretty old retailer as far as retailers go. As far as the items listed in this thread on clearance, they're definitely YMMV(your mileage may vary) as to whether or not you'll get them for the price listed or even find them at all in the first place.

Best bet is to just go to your local Sears store(s) and have stuff price checked. For example, at a Sears near me, the Samurai Jack game for PS2 is STILL ringing up @ $39.99, even though the OP says it's $3.99.
 
I've actually received weird looks from the clerks when I'm grabbing even 2-3 games to go price check and just recently I had the cashier in a Kmart stand there watching me as I wrote down game names and prices on a bunch of new clearance titles for the Kmart thread.

Same here when I took 10 games to the scanner at Sears. It's funny, I can never find anyone in that section until I pick up a couple games to check myself. Then they magically appear.
 
What I hate is how they sometimes think you are stealing since I have yet to see a scanner near the electonics. I waited until no one was looking when I went to take games to the price checker because once at that store, they stopped me before and wanted me to just take it to the register. Yeah, like I'm going to stand in line and ask for price checks on 20+ games.

Picked up MechAssault for XBox for $0.97
Stuff like ATV Offroad Fury with a June sticker of $7.97 is still scanning for that price! What's the rush, it's only been that price for 8 months and it's obvious no one wants it since it is correctly tagged
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland for the 360 is the same thing, $19.97 since the past summer
Street Racing Syndicate for Gamecube is scanning as out of the system
 
Sounds like the Kmarts around by me, stuff wasn't marked correctly in forever, then all of a sudden the store got cleaned up and cleaned out quickly.

They had a couple copies of that SRS and other GC games that went OOS a LONG time ago. And unfortunately, unless you find a well informed employee, you're going to end up paying whatever the last sticker price was or you leave the games there till someone buys them.

It's a shame really, since there's so many good games which will languish forever on the shelves since the employees don't mark stuff right. Of course, if they did, we might never find ANY deals.

i used to do that at sears. but nowadays i could care less what they think of me. at one point i did about 50 games on a shopping cart filled with games. i actually literally pushed the entire cart of games besides mine. i priced checked them on the next aisle. i must have grabbed about 15 games from that run.

for those of you who wonder how i do this list.. its really not that big of a deal. the only really time consuming task was to gather everything from 50 or so pages and creating a format for the thread. updating is nothing since i can just right-click quote and copy and paste on the notepad and look through the prices. it makes it easier now that we could do multi-quotes. that whole process doesn't take any more than 10 minutes for 2 or 3 thread pages.
 
Sears in albany NY - Perfect DArk Zero was 3.97, Star Trek was 7.97, Virtua Tennis was 7.97. All for :360:

Edit I also found Xenosaga GH version for :ps2: for 7.97. That one is not listed !
 
FWIW, I was at the Sears in Duluth, GA today and picked up the following:

all for X-360
Star Trek for $1.97
Superman Returns $6.97
Kameo $2.97
Perfect Dark Zero $3.97

Only other thing that jumped out at me was Burnout Revenge for $14.97.
 
Today I picked up Superman Returns :360: for $7.47 plus tax at the Great Northern shopping mall in NE Ohio. No ST: Legacy was there or anything else I was interested in.

not very high unfortunately. thanks to yearly its many different versions. i'd save it for a few more years.. i didnt see the one i was watching at the sears i go to.
 
Btw, has anyone seen the DDR Universe 1 bundle for the Xbox 360 at their store? I was quoted a price of $59.99 from them when they rang this up. I thought this is supposed to be cheaper at around $42?

and I have one Sears that I visit every month or two... I load up a cart of 20-40 games and head to the scanner... the staff just stares...

The Star Trek, Superman Returns, and Burnout Revenge were all in the case. Kameo and Perfect Dark were on the open aisle facing the Wii games. I saw multiples of each game earlier this afternoon. Probably some decent PS2 games in there also but I didn't have the patience to go through the mess. The lady was doing the pricing updates while I was there. :D
 
Man my store was gutted and they still sell Gun (PS2) for $29.99 lol but I did see something that was not mentioned here yet and may be YMMV.

Platinum Gamecube systems $49.99 :applause:

This was a store price not a clearance sticker.
 
I picked up Star Trek Legacy (360) for $3.97 and Eragon (360) for $1.97. Then opened them up, walked across the hall of the mall and traded them in to Gamestop for a $21 credit after the $10 bonus for 2 360 games + 10% edge card bonus. Nice. My kids (6 and 5) are going to like this as they both got $5 from their Grandmother for Valentines day and they wanted to buy used game(s) with it. I've just increased their buying power substantially. Actually I'm going to take them to another mall near us that has a Sears and a Gamestop and hope to repeat similarly, to further boost their funds. :) Thanks OP!
